I LOVE this app! I would and do quite often recommend it to everyone I know. Even if you don't get the gold or platinum memberships, still the free basic version is worth every person having because of all the extras that the app has for free, with the safety stuff, like the child predators list you can see for anywhere on the map. We found someone a few doors up, in our housing complex, on that list, all thanks to this app! And let me add, this is 100% a genuine review from a real customer.
Update: Glitch fixed. I used to love this app. It did everything I wanted it to. But something with the latest update turns on Drive detection constantly, no matter how often I turn it off. It keeps draining my battery every time I commute to work. Wish someone would get on fixing that glitch.
More of a worry than without having an app installed. Says child's phone is switched off or offline when I'm holding it and can see all permissions are enabled. I wouldn't bother installing: caused unnecessary arguments and would be useless if the handset were lost or stolen. It's fine to build an app that sometimes works: just be clear that it only sometimes works when releasing it. Uninstalled from all handsets and reverting to old fashioned trust.
For the most part, the app works fine. Two issues that I have are: 1) Opening the app will sometimes present me with an empty page. Killing the app and reopening it solves that problem. 2) the notification sound is hardcoded to the be default notification sound. This should be user configurable so as not to be confused with the other apps that also use the default notification sound.
It's mostly great. The only complaint I have is the accuracy. The app will alert me when my child arrives or departs a specific place. But it isn't immediate. There seems to be a 10-15 time lapse. Also, the app will alert me that my child has arrived at a designated area when they are sleeping. The first time that happened I had to make sure they were still in the house! That was alarming! We have both restarted our phones, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it still happens.
I really like this app. It helps our long distance relationship feel a little less distanced. I know where my partner works and lives but it's nice to be able to follow along and see they arrive safely. I do find all the settings and options a little overwhelming. There is so much to learn and use and see and do. Even with premium, we don't use a lot of them. But we still find premium is worth the cost to feel a little closer together.
Was thinking about subscribing to the paid version, but not sure it's really worth it. I find it funny that you've added some useless piece of data entitled 'phone usage'. You do realise of course that it can't tell the difference between the driver (illegal) or the passenger (totally legal) using a phone whilst the vehicle is moving, so really what is the point? 🤷♀️. Also accuracy and reliability leaves an awful lot to be desired unfortunately, so I'll stick to the free version until fixed.
