I remember the times where I would be sitting in a movie theater as a child and would constantly watch commercials about buying movie tickets online in advanced rather then waiting in line to buy tickets. How fast time has changed where I'm literally buying movie tickets off of my phone!! I've been using this app for quite some time now and it's been a phenomenal experience! Keep up the great work Fandango!!!
The functionality of the app is fine. The VIP rewards are terrible. They expire in less than one month of a purchase. I don't have the budget to go to the theater a few times a month just to save five dollars. Not to mention there's nearly a two dollar convenience fee for using the app. Which in itself is rediculous. I don't know where to express my disappointment with the VIP points so I am doing it here.
Great for guests, terrible if you have an account. I've never been able to sign in to my account using the same password I log in on my PC. I've reset passwords, I've used saved passwords, it's like they don't want you to be a loyalty program customer. So bad.
The app works very well and easy. I particularly like that Regal theaters are listed as opposed to Atom, which doesn't have Regal or other smaller theaters. I usually get discount tickets from Tmobile who contracts with Atom. if Fandango had similar promos, I would definitely prefer it.
Terrible. This app never just workes on the firat time I open it. I open it and try to look at the movie lists or the theater lists and they dont load. Adds pop up just fine, but in order to view movies or theaters i have to close it and open it back up. EVERY TIME.
Great app for getting movie tickets. The theater layouts are nice, but not to the scale of the actual seats and rows. Best example is the lack of the space in front of the wheelchair rows. The space is larger than the layout shows.
Always broken. The last 5 times I've gone to buy tickets for 5 different movies, it's given me the same "there was an error while processing your request/your order didn't go through" error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, confirmed my payment info is right, and signed out and back into my account. It just never works. Garbage.
Basically ok, but loses two whole stars from the seating selection part (yeah, it's that bad). Once you touch a seat, the only way to unselect it is to accept it, go to the next screen, then back up and change it. Good luck with that if you accidentally touch the wrong seat or pick one and then change your mind. Maybe touching the same seat again unselects it, but I don't think so.
Mostly okay. If your payment method expires or changes, you have to make those changes *prior* to you transaction. If you find out mid-transaction that you have to update a card, you have to back out, make the changes, and do it all over again.
I tried to buy on an offer of buy one, get second free thru Comcast/Xfinity and complied with all the requirements. Fandango would NOT give me the offer, what a rip off. Very disappointed.
Had the app for years, once I installed it on a new phone the app says my email or password do not match. I can sign in through the internet however the theater I frequent actually has a viable rewards system. I may just delete this app and avoid the convenience fees.
What a terrible user interface, the app uses web pages not a native app interface, which makes it sooooo slow, plus it does not remember you when you navigate forward and backward. You have to select everything from scratch if you wanna change hour
App is great and convenient. I get to see trailers that help me choose. My only complaint... that I can't share the videos with friends I want to invite to the movie with me.
For some reason the app is stuck loading on the sign in portion. It recognizes my theaters and showtimes but not my profile. Anytime I try to click sign in it either gets stuck, or doesn't let me log in. When I tried to reset my password it said that I didn't have an account...so not sure what the issue is but I would love a patch so I can keep building up points.
wanted to watch a movie and booked through Fandango. Picked the seats but then found out at the theater that the booking didnt go through. Got charged anyway, went through customer support and was told that they can't refund me because I contacted them after the showing time. The theater staff told me this happens all the time and I would get refunded. I never got my money back, but just learned a lesson to never buy from Fandango again.
Yikes. This app has been around forever and from phone to phone, it's the only one that consistently hangs and stalls. 3/4 of the time, opening it necessitates a forced close. Junk
A fantastic service for enjoying movies where you want to see them, at what time and where you want to sit. Exceptional also for exchanges, cancelations and crediting purchase prices back to you account. A good brand to do business with.
difficult to choose seats on my phone. app doesn't work well. was the same on my last two phones so that's not it. they charge to much. shouldn't cost so much when no people are getting paid to do anything. corporate just sitting back raking in the cash. but if you want a seat...
Loved this app until the tech support did a credit to my account for tickets I didn't use and froze my account. Tried calling and emailing 5 times. Customer service can't speak to tech support only email. Waste of time,no response and they have put money on my account that I can't use. Buy your tickets from theater app directly, better service.
Very poor, I can't login to my account. Tells me email or password doesn't match their records. I can't find a way to get help in the app. I can't access the tickets I bought. My credit card was charged though.
I am never able to check out on my first attempt. The errors always tell me to correct something that isn't wrong such as "choose a different showtime" or "check address info". Meanwhile, neither of those resolve the issue. I just end up submitting all of the payment info again. When the payment DOES finally go through, I save it on the app in order to avoid the frustration in the future. Then, next time I check out with the saved payment method, it fails again. It's infuriating.
I love this app. it makes buying tickets easy. although sometimes I can't get the app to play the movie trailer, and I miss out on a good movie.
For some odd reason I can NEVER purchase movie tickets on Fandango anymore. It always tells me there is an error. I've deleted it and reloaded it. Cleared out my credit card information, tried other ways to pay and nothing. I only use it for times now and generally purchase tickets from the actual theater AMC, Harkins, etc. I don't know what's wrong. I'm super annoyed.
The app never wants to navigate to my vip points and always says that an error has occurred. if not I would've given it 5 stars
You pay a premium on tickets, plus a premium on the "convenience fee," but after a certain amount of purchases you can get a tiny discount that expires after 3 weeks. Just buy tickets at the theater.
I've used the app for years because I like it's functionality. My only gripes are: 1. I wish the limited window for VIP points could be extended to 45 - 60 days. 2. Oftentimes, I've had points expire because the limited selection is comprised of movies I've already seen. In addition to that, at one time, the points could be used towards any purchase on FandangoNow but we're only given a limited selection on VUDU. 3. PLEASE reinstate the auto-login or add a biometric one.
