FandangoNOW - Movies + TV

Works great, a little slow and cumbersome, still it's good. Although, this is a must, please allow the customer to enlarge the screen size for movies, it's already small, so when it's shrunk down even more there's really no point in bothering with it on a smartphone even the plus sized ones! I didn't subscribe to Amazon until they fixed that!

Tried it once and the movie kept buffering. I had to exit and resume multiple times. I have better than 200Mb download speed and even verified network speed at one point. I have never had an issue with Disney+ in over a year. Fandango needs to get its act together. After wasting $20 on a one time rental, I don't think I'll be using it again soon.

I love the site. If I rent a movie it's usually from here, BUT I can't directly search for anything through the mobile app. Have to search for the content in the phone browser and have it open the link in the app through the browser. Also, clicked on a movie in my watchlist so I can remove it from the list, but it just loaded a blank page with a play button...so this app is mostly unusable in its current state, at least for me, and I mostly have to use the website.

I love Fandango now, and I have bought many movies through them to show it. Only gripe I have is with the phone app. I've watched movies on my phone in the past. However over the past month or two when I try it says something along the lines of playback error 1 permissions are not active. And then takes me back to my movie library. I'll give them the fifth star after that gets fixed cause this really is a great app.

This app constantly crashes even after I have uninstalled and installed twice in 10 minutes. It also was playing my movie really well and then started buffering every 2 or 3 minutes. Thank goodness I bought my movie. I couldn't watch the movie I rented. Update: 4/22/21 The app is still closing me out within 2 minutes. It will not load any movies for me to see. I tried to go through the internet, and it instantly directs me back to the app. PLEASE fix the problems!

Good content available and competitive prices, but the app itself doesn't operate very well. I'm currently unable to play the videos I purchased and have had numerous issues with the app losing connection with my cast device in the middle of videos. If I didn't have gift cards for this app, I would definitely choose an alternative.

Whenever I try to cast a video I get an error message. It let's me play the video on my phone, but not if I want to cast it to a TV. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, disconnected my Chromecast multiple times and restarted my phone multiple times, even though I know it has nothing to do with my phone nor TV, as I am able to cast all other apps without issue

Most recent update 3/2/2021 is messed up. I was able to watch my movies prior to update. Now when I go to Library tab, the app does not respond and closes. Looks like the bug fixes from recent update made more bugs then fixed. Otherwise, I've always like this app. It's convenient to use. Please fix this. *Edit* 2 weeks later and still not fixed. Fandango is a real piece of s*it.

I tried this app out on two different movies. The first one it failed 3 times, the second it failed 12 times. both times required me to restart the app. Funny thing though, the app kept saying I had Fandango open on two devices - that would be a bit difficult to do seeing the only login I have ever used on Fandango was on this phone. If they fix that error, maybe I'll try again.

Whenever I try streaming any movies I have purchased, I can never watch them all the way through; I get a message saying multiple streams were detected. How is that possible? Another complaint is when I try downloading content, the download pauses unless I have my phone turned on the entire time with the app opened at the download screen. Otherwise the download pauses or fails. Overall it is a hard to like, flawed app.

Love this app. I watch movies all the time with my family. With options to rent or buy, it gives you the choice. The only thing I wish would change is the issue of if you enter a gift card an the total amount would be added to your account as to you having to keep the card, with left over balance and making you have to remember what's the amount left.

Im expanding into little used streaming services as digital rights are very consumer unfriendly at the moment. So I purchased a TV show on Fandango and a redeemed a 4k movie. First the good: 4k is an option, good sales if you know where to look. Now the bad: chromecast streaming is wonky, sometimes works, sometimes stuck at "preparing to cast" for me, when it did work caps out at 1080p for my 4k purchase. No HDR, no dolby digital, and the website is better to use then the app at the moment.

During a recent update, a Movie Collection I paid $70.99 for has been changed. I paid for movies 1 - 8 and now I only have movies 2 - 8 I did not receive any notice or back pay for this movie being removed from my library without my knowledge. I have supported this app for awhile and this was a major set back for me as a customer.

I love the app both for mobile and on my LG OLED B7. my only issue is that I always have to have an internet connection to watch my content. When I buy something I want to be able to watch it when I want how I want. The 4K content is good with little compression that compromises IQ. Understandably the bit rate is low and depending on connection speed one may or may not get 4K regardless of paying for it. Wish for a number of movies there were options for different cuts like Euro and American.

I have very few complaints about this app, other than recieving an error(nearly, once every viewing) & stoppage, stating I am streaming on multiple devices eventhough, I am not doing so. It is easy to deal with as you only need to restart the movie; but it is quite annoying when it occurs multiple times during a movie.

The app is junk and will kick you off repeatedly because it incorrectly "detects playback on another device". I had a movie I rented stopped SEVEN times due to this error, when literally NO ONE but myself has access to my account, my device, or even my wifi! It's a waste of money - stict to something more reliable like Vuduu, Hulu, Netflix, Redbox, Google Movies, YouTube Movies, Xbox Store Movie Rentals, Etc Etc. Basically ANY streaming rental service is better than this.

I can't watch anything on my phone! It plays the audio but not the movie or trailers. I have tried restarting and closing the app with no progress! Please solve this issue! I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it with no difference. I can see the preview of the movie with the bottom bar but it is bull that I bought the movie but not watch it.

I am using a Samsung S8 operating on android version 9, my apps are up to date. For my trip i wanted to download from my library to watch offline. However after 1/2 into the movie i had to switch planes, so ofcourse i had to stop the app. BUT after rebooting my phone, turning it off &on I still receive an error for playback. Androidmedia error playback (1): failed to restore keys general drm error. Because of this i lost my downloads. My phone is protected yet the software is frustrating !

The service says you can rent a movie and watch it on your TV, but setting it up took forever, and the Movies Anywhere app you have to use for Apple TV couldn't stream the movie without constantly buffering even though I have no problem with other streaming services. I rented the movie on iTunes instead.

This service is a complete rip off! For starters on average their prices are always way higher then multiple other outlets. The real kicker comes when you start checking out their bundle "deals" where they claim you're getting a better price. If you look at the individual prices 9 out of 10 times you're paying more for the bundle than if you had just bought them separately. And this is only if you're not smart enough to realize you could still get them even cheaper from another service.

Love this app. Very easy to maneuver through and but or rent movies. Love watching movies here and being able to connect with my other apps. Recommend this app. Also if something happens there good about notifying me if their was a mix up or something was trying to be charged. If their was a problem then it would get resolved quickly and any money refunded easily.

I cant access any of the movies in my library, I had quite a bit from UV and Google play and now that app keeps heading straight to downloads page when I try to look at my library. Checking here to see if there's an update missing but seeing others having issues with the app as well. All the more reason to buy hard copy dvd/blue ray as these apps keeps changing hands and methods

Terrible. The TV app, phone app, roku, and my account online do not sync. I amnleft with 3 devices that I cant use because " they are registered to another account." which is funny cuz I can bring all three devices up under one account but I can't access the app on any of those devices. tried to call customer service and their automated phone system just hangs up or goes silent. on my eighth try I was finally able to talk to a person whom I could not understand and kept cutting out.

Awful service. Recieved a promo for free movies and had to download this service. After buying a few movies and renting off I was to try and download some movies before a flight. Downloading a video takes memory and does not show up in library. Offline mode doesnt work and most of the time isnt even an option in the main page just "try again". Now my rental movie is counting down the time I have left to watch the movie and I still cant download. Stick with netflix.

Unable to rent or purchase movies via Roku device's. All transactions have to be made using the website or phone to play through Roku. Also the app no longer shows current movie releases or updates. It must be uninstalled then reinstalled weekly. These issues have persisted for more than a year now. App doesn't load after latest update.
