Fifth Edition Custom Builder

Great concept and does what it's supposed to do. However, there's a really annoying bug where if you rotate or lock your phone, all unsaved data disappears and it goes to the previous screen. Really frustrating when you spend a half hour working on something and then just need to start over. Would be 5 stars otherwise

Love it a lot! Some issues I'd like to see fixed, such as being able to move the selection of my highlighted text in text fields. Unfortunately, I've run into a problem where it isn't allowing me to export, telling me that it doesn't have the ability to despite everything being set up properly (I've exported several times already). If I can't export/import to the sheet app, it undermines this app's usefulness unfortunately!

Definitely hard to navigate but quite nice once you get the hang of it. Still struggling with some options, like the fact that the Subrace function in Comparisons doesn't seem to work at all (it just keeps deleting whatever I put in the text box). Would like to see a new update, perhaps with some better instructions and some much needed bug fixes!

I love it, the only problem I've just noticed is when it comes to making new races (and i do not know whether to discuss this for this app or the character builder sister app) options like the "if-then-else" feature will not show the features at levels above 1st level for a race. For example, if a race is created with an evolutionary gimic, one at 1st level, and then at least one other at a higher level, that higher level option will not show up for the race.

Creating a name, known languages, and assigning stats is easy, but things get complicated after that. The "add feature" tool is needlessly complex and doesn't allow for adding descriptions. Sure, throwing in proficiencies and certain things that are based around stats can be done with some searching, but how about things like darkvision or flight? If options like that are there, they're almost impossible to find. And even if they are, there's no area to add a description, like adding swim speed.

Was kind of difficult to learn all the inns and outs. But has been a great addition to the 5th edition character sheet app. I've got one issue though where I'll put data in on a custom class using the if then else feature and it won't permanently save it despite me hitting the save button. I'll come back to it that day or while the app is still open and the data will be there but when I come back to it the next day or after the app closes the data is gone. I've put in this same data in 5 times.

Heyyyyy so this annoying thing happens when you accidently tip your phone sideways just enough for the screen to change and it immediately pops you back to the main menu without saving anything you just spent 20 minutes doing... Maybe should fix. Pretty good otherwise. Needs YouTube tutorials or something as it's not intuitive enough to learn things like building a class from scratch on your own.

Update: after purchasing the premium version and using it a little, I see this app to be buggy and unfinished. It's especially annoying trying to import files to work on them. And now my app won't import anything. It's was a waste of money and the author has abandoned both apps, and only responds if he feels like it. (old review) This is a really powerful app, but it's handicapped by the fact that it's so difficult to load files into it. It would also be nice if it had a reference set to use.

UNUSABLE. If you like slogging through poorly designed menus with little to no tooltips, trying to figure out how to create a single thing for an hour then this app is for you! But wait! Once you've spent hours and hours creating something and you try to export it (so you can actually use it in the other app) it just crashes and deletes your save. Completely unusable. Wasted my money on the premium version.

This is a very useful application, and I use it very often, but I noted some problems with it: - After exporting once or twice, the app crashes every time you try export afterwords for ~15 minutes. - Feature flags are broken. - This might be me not knowing how, but you can't make lists with bullet points (As in the Pact Boon choices use the dot instead of a checkbox).

This is a great tool. I had used it to create the Raven Queen for my warlock, but unfortunately the export option has stopped working. It says custom builder needs one or more google services that currently unavailable. It could be a little more intuitive but I have been having fun tearing other people's builds apart to figure out how to make this app work for me. If the issue is resolved this will definitely be getting a 5⭐

It's great to be able to add usual classes, races, and feats. But I really, really wish there were more in-depth instructions on how. I was trying to add a Blood Mage subclass for wizard but I, for the life of me, could not figure out how to do it coherently. Perhaps an optional tutorial for the steps or even a video. And whenever I try to add a new race it says "improper format".

I paid for premium on this and the Character Sheet app; in both cases I feel I overpaid ($2.99 USD) for essential functions (leveling characters and using custom material). I paid into this app almost immediately after downloading it to save myself some time, and because the companion app seemed worth it. The interface is the opposite of user-friendly, and adding custom materials is an experience in hoping against hope that you picked the right statements. I'm sure this is for someone; not me.

App creator, hear my call! Both apps are amazing but theres one feature missing that will result in 5 stars on both this app and the Character Creator App. The ability to make new, custom Menus. Ive found that this is really the only thing missing from the apps thats hindering my gameplay, everything else is perfect.

It's a great app that allows you to add new content to their other app. It is at times a bit confusing to use as it lacks a tutorial to show users to properly create new contract using this app. I would find it useful if the devs posted a tutorial online it gave us the data for the main classes to figure out how each mechanically is built using this system. It regardless if an interesting app to attempt to cut down on other players' character creation time with unearthed arcana and homebrew material

Works great, though it does take some effort to figure out all the functions (still haven't figured everything out). one function I would like to see is an option to define a campaigns (as tags or whatever). Would make it easier to export everything.

A good little custom tool, simple to use once you figure everything out. Can be complex. Also think there's a bug in which the app doesn't save your creations unless you also export them. Atleast I'm having this issue.

I would give this a five-star because of its amazing versatility and all the wonderful things you can do, however, it is in serious need of a tutorial Because unless you have a programming background, it is very difficult to utilize. My wife is a programmer and is put off by this because it's too much like work. After monkeying with this program for a few days I have managed to create some epic level character content. 4 1/2Stars I had some correspondence with the programmer who was very helpful

In my opinion too complex to understand. I have tried making my own vampire race, and every time I try, I end up doing the wrong thing and am forced to scrap. If possible, make it easier to use. Perhaps add preset race, class, etc templates.

this would be great, but it wont let me copy/paste anything. if i highlight anything and it gives me the option to click to cut/copy/paste, it just acts like the options arent there and I'll end up clicking a button in the actual app. ALSO--the custom spellcasting is a MESS. it wont let me do anything with it and it makes no sense, and I cant find any help regarding it. I'm trying to use this app to put the new Artificer stuff into it (as it is a Half+ caster and not a regular half caster).

Decent app but just crashes on any attempt to export and the system isn't intuitive at all. There should be help documentation if you aren't going to bother to make a system that anyone but a programmer can't figure out.

Honestly it's glitchy and I can't seem to figure out how to add racial abilities because when I add festure it shows up a list of features that don't make any sense honestly. If there is a way to add racial abilities that would be great, but there's no instructions to help at all. Quite disappointed.

Wait! This actually is a blank screen. You will be importing all of your custom content to this manually. And it will cost 2.99 to do so. Fight club 5e will allow you to do this while providing you with unlimited character slots, a players handbook and character tracker as well for the same price. Don't waste money on this.

Takes a bit to get used to but its pretty fun when you figure it out. I'm having a hard time trying to implement variants and subraces but this thing does seem to run well and acts as a great companion to the main app.

The developer's other app, 5th edition character sheet, is great... this one not so much. This desperately needs tutorials on how to use it. The Help file doesn't do much at all. Please make this more user friendly & helpful.

While a seemingly great idea to be paired with the sibling 5e Character Sheet app, it's execution is far from flawless. It'd be easier to manually input into the other app than use this app and try to export. While I highly recommend the 5e Character Sheet app, I cannot recommend this.

The controls are finicky by that I mean sometimes they don't let you choose an option to click. If you're looking to build a character with only a single custom option (for example a homebrew background) and not make your whole sheet from scratch then this IS NOT the app for you.

great for making characters, but I wanted to add basic items for the adventure. this doesn't allow you to create items or spells to be transfered to 5e character sheet though.
