I have been using this app since one year. Everything was ok. But just before 15 days when I have restored all folders, one folder is missing. I can't understand how that folder from my phone memory. I don't know how to recover that foder again. Important pics were there in that folder. Today again I have lost my some whole folders from my phone memory.... Worst .. feeling....
I'm using this app frm the last 5 years..But yesterday suddenly when I was restoring my files.. it lost my all data..I tried many app to restore my data also connect with pc but my data not recovered.. .hermit and .Hider folders were empty..Im feeling very hopeless and upset..No support available I mailed also the developers but they have no response yet.. Please don't go with this app..Until later you feel very bad.
Lost about 960 videos and photos. I can recover the pictures but definitely not the videos. I decided to hide another test folder and it worked just fine. I highly recommend not to download this app due to it being on/off in terms of it working.
Exactly as other users described: With Fast mode on, when you hide a folder, all files in that folder get deleted. Dev's suggestion to recover is not viable for me and i've yet to see a user report success in recovering files. Clearly there's something with the app at fault here and dev is not addressing it or testing it out properly.
A very good application. However I encountered a problem. I downloaded a tv series which took a chunk of my space. I then hid the download folder using this app. When I restored the folder, the series where nowhere to be found and my phone memory is still low. I'm actually contemplating reseting my phone
I was use this app in old redmi mobile. It was working fine. But in my new Samsung galaxy m30s its deleting all my files. When I hide folder. After few hours it's gone. Only folder available I'm very much disappointed. I was using this app more than two years. But in new Samsung mobile. It deleting all my datas. More than 2000 photos gone.
TLDR: DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. IT HAS A BUG THAT LITERALLY WIPES OUT YOUR ENTIRE VIDEO AND PHOTOS FOR SOME REASON. Welp. Theres goes my entire video/photo that ive gathered over the last 3 years. Even wipe out my external sd card. No offense, this bug might trigger a lawsuit. Literally lost everything. Nothing works. Even plugged phone to my pc used recovery software, didn't work. Even downloaded an earlier version. That didn't work.
Well, gg, file hider. As with all these other people, the app ate up a few gb worth of files I had. No, there's no ".hermit" folder in mnt/sdcard, and there are no ".hider" files to be found when connecting with a PC. I'm pretty positive the files are just gone.
This app worked well. But today I lost my important images. When I hide them in my new mobile, they were deleted permanently may be due to not support of fast mode or anything. This is a very very very serious bug...I can't able to recover my lost photos...Please fix this bug...
I've used this app for years and loved it, but with the lastest Android update on Samsung (using S10e) it has inadvertedly deleted all my files. Sometimes there will be a .nomedia file that appears but for now there is nothing. No .nomedia files or anything.
Bad bad very bad. I was using this app since 6yrs, worked well. Now all of a sudden it deleted all my important data. Cannot recover it again, even the hermit folder is empty and .hider files not found. Don't download this app. U will regret after using it.
I lost very important files that I have kept. Even after unhide the folder, the folder was empty. It was working previous. This issue started recently! Very bad. I have uninstalled this app now.. beware
This app is good. Because it's helps me hide my files from facebook follwers, gallery. But only one problem when I open this app. This app don't ask password & it's risky to someone who touch someone personal files from this app. Please fix this problems.
This app worked quite well for a while. But i soon found out that the app didnt restore my photos! They are visible in the explorer but i cant view or open them! The developer isnt doing anything to try amd fix this. Stay away from this app, FAR AWAY.
Dumb app. Was working fine all of a sudden deleted all the files. Nothing in recovery area. Storage all wiped out. Dear Developer, the storage is wiped out. Where are the files on the cloud?
It was working smoothly for a long time. But now whenever I want to open the app with my PIN an error occured and the app doesn't work. So please fix this issue so that I can recover the files which I kept hide.
Downloaded app and did a test on 2 movies stored on my sd card. Both movies are now lost and I have not been able to locate them with my phone or PC. I'd like some assistance as well as better product R and D!! ****In response to your reply, how about coming up with a better solution and actually test your app thoroughly before releasing it!! I have searched my entire phone with my computer and have only found d 2 empty folders.....no movies to be found....but the memory space is still used up!!
