Please change the UI of the app as it has became quite old and a little cluttery. I have seen some other versions of Mi File Manager, and their UI looks quite refreshing, new and modern.. Specially change the interface of recents file menu, as it seems quite confusing and cluttery sometimes. Also add some smooth animations in the app while opening and closing a file and clicking on the folders. Otherwise the app is quite good.
It's a very good app. The only problem I have with it is not being able to properly search files containing underscores in the file naming system. It fails to recognise the words in-between the underscores and will only pick the files when the underscores are inserted and the full name(s) of the file typed. Apart from this, it is a well thought-out file manager.
I really like this app but there are some problems with this app 1. The video player is so annoying as we can't adjust the sound and the brightness and take a screenshot like before. 2. If we go to the videos, the thumbnail is just grey and we don't even know what video we are opening. 3. There are some bugs which say that the file manager is not working and it sometimes doesn't even open even with my redmi 10 prime even tho it's a new phone. Pls fix these problems as soon as you can. Thank you.
I can't understand why my storage shows nearly 80% when I have deleted all the pending files. I have refreshed again and again. I have been using file manager since 2016 and it is one of the most useful app I have in my phone. I don't know why for the past two days, my storage shows full. Please fix the glitch.
I updated to latest version and after that I can't able to see the video thumbnails in file manager as well as any video folder. It's shows the blank thumbnail on videos and it is very difficult to find and play the specific video. Please fixed it asap. I also uninstall the updates from my device and now using the earlier version which not have this issue. I also raised issue to MI using their feedback app but still I not get any I updates on this. Please fixed this issus asap.
Was a great file manager, but now it won't stay open for longer than 15-30 seconds. Constantly crashes on Android 12. Also run it on a tablet running Android 9 & another phone running Android 11, neither have the crashes. Fix it! Update: Uninstalling since it still constantly crashes. There are better file managers on the Play store.
Long time using without conplaint. After the last update of Mi Video, that app is beyond awful, and mi file explorer keeps opening all videos in Mi Video, even if I change the default video player. It also keeps auto updating to the last version, even if I uninstall the updates and disable auto updates. After few days of trying to fix the problem with mi video, I just stopped using mi file explorer, and switch to total commander, tha respects my video player choice.
The latest version as of May 2022 has a better looking interface while the entire app is downgraded because it refreshes everytime a folder is used for more than a minute which restarts the app to its starting home page. There should at the very least be a Refresh Turn On/Off button.

After miui 13 update the file manager keep showing me the internal storage as disconnected and other apps and games are keep crashing when that happened. I tried to uninstall the app updates and it did not get fixed and i also tried updating it to the newest version but the results was same. Because of this issue apps that depends on internal storage for functioning like WhatsApp,Bgmi, gallery, music player, video player are not working properly
The file manager app is great. I'm trying to access my drive file via this file manage on poco phone. After login to account It's shown me "This app is blocked". This was my first time to add a remote device to this file manage app and I was failing. Hopefully, the developer team will be fixed soon. If it is work properly definitely I will give 5 star ratting because I'm a big fan of Xiaomi phone 💚. Thank you zayed
My god.... Receive Recommendations? No! And guess what I get? File Manager: The infinity ads. Why is it always in the end Your apps keep having ads or just got to connect to network "just for ads again after all". Just give premium purchase already so I can goddam remove those annoying useless ads...

There is a problem with this app. While opening any file it by default opens it in Xiaomi apps e.g. pdfs not on drive or Adobe but Xiaomi pdf viewer and same thing is for music and others and you cannot change this. very annoying feature and that's why I switched to files app from google
Same thing that everyone is saying. Ads aren't intrusive, it worked wonderfully. Now it won't stay open for more than 15-30 seconds. Try and install anything from it and it just resets or crashes. Have had this app for years guess it's time to find another.
It stops working from time to time when making files private. Also would be great to have a choice regarding which app should be used for which files. Still, pretty good.
The File manager app doesn't work as it used to do earlier. Whenever I open a file or a folder in the file manager app and keep in the background it doesn't stay as it is when opened from the background, the app opens freshly again and I have to open that file or folder all over again. And it becomes hectic and time consuming to open the file again and again 😑☹️
Devs, your file manager in the Android file in the OBB file, there is a restriction doesn't access. I hope this is fixed, this app has not been fixed for a while. Also MIUI 13 and android 12 as well, but do you need android 11? Why does your mobile need to be rooted or non -rooted here? Isn't this just an app like other apps that don't need root here. Even if you don't have an SD card, because it's internal, you also need an OBB file. I hope this problem is fixed with xioami phones and poco
The app takes about 10 seconds to load new files in the file manager. Very disappointed. Furthermore, there is no option for it to follow the system theme. It's either light or dark theme.
Built in app that you cannot remove and is essential to using your phone... And it comes with adverts. I paid for this phone, it isn't free and needs to be funded by adverts.
when I open a picture inside a folder for 2 minutes long, and go back(close the picture) it always redirect me to recent files instead of internal shared storage. it always makes me repeat finding the file I want to view.
The things that are missing: an option to add desktop shortcuts (folders, pictures, documents etc.) Please consider adding these features, as they're a must for a default file manager for a brand of this stature.
It used to work well. But there are some bugs. Sometimes it doesn't read all the files and shows wrong storage space %. Please change
This is default and only app that manages your files, without it you can't see what you even have on your phone, so this is something that, well, should be app that comes with your phone and not be like some other apps... This one has ads, it's like opening preinstalled camera app and having to watch 10 second video before taking a picture.
From the time my phone got updated to MiUi 13.0.1, file explorer keeps crashing. If I uninstall the latest updates for file explorer then it works fine, but then again automatically gets updated and starts crashing. Normally the app is good and I like the interface but it's completely unusable right now.
I love the fact that it's super fast and very responsive than Google Files, which for some reason takes ages to respond. I wish I could have installed this sooner. The sleek and minimalist layout and design is also a plus for me. If I ever get a Xiaomi phone then it will be because of this app.
Dark mode is nice! Everything works great minus two huge features that are important to me: - difficult to browse OTG USB as it's not in the same tabs as your phone or SD Card. - the file manager ignores your preferences for video and audio player. It forces you to use its built-in versions which aren't as effective
