To use the FishPhone App you must connect to an existing FishPhone Camera Transmitter or purchase one for yourself. The FishPhone Camera System (#FP100) is a stand alone, fully functional, smartphone controlled system that allows you to record video or still images and easily send it off to your friends in an e-mail or text.
The FishPhone Camera System comes with a unique holder and battery pack system that makes it easy to carry and manage 50 feet of cable. The portable FishPhone camera pack system can power your FishPhone for six hours between charging. The underwater camera used in the FishPhone system is a Color/ B&W camera that automatically shifts from color to black and white when light conditions are limited to increase display contrast.

Am I the only one that has a problem with having to put my phone on airplane mode to get the app to connect, thereby rendering my phone useless while I use the app? And the videos don't download and aren't shareable. Seems like the ball was dropped, with today's technology being what it is. If this is supposed to be upgrading from the old camera with black and white TV in the shack, it falls way short.
Doesn't work on a Note 9. Disappointed that I have to use a analog video display. 1970s technology to operate a modern piece of equipment. 2 apps developed in the play store and neither work.
Works great on my old S8 Active. Does NOT WORK on new G7 Power. I connect to the wifi, but fish phone software says no signal detected.
Samsung s7 edge, no control of light and its in black and white. App constantly crashes and locks up
The app was crashing upon start up. I submitted a bug report, and an update came out less than 24 hours later! This fixed my problems. Be sure to upgrade your app and submit bug reports. Thank you much!
I love this app but one thing bothers me and that is you can not download the videos from the library to my phone so I can share it on my social media
Slightly stained water really impacts visibility. Need really clear and or bright sunlight for the camera to stay in color. The app shuts down very frequently have tried on both tablet and cell and makes no difference. I expected better than my old outdoor viewing system camera. Concept is great execution not so much. If i had an option to pay more i would if it had a better quality camera
The app glitches and freezes up occasionally. My biggest issue is I can't get the videos to save on my phone in a viewable format. Using a Droid Maxx turbo 2. I can view the videos when connected to the fish phone just not any other time nor can I share them. When it is working it is fantastic.
Great app but some new features could be useful. For one being able to record to the sdcard would be great. Also a good feature would be adding a motion sensor application to set off an alarm with the option start to record or take a picture automatically when it goes off. If you cannot watch the videos recorded try VLC media or MX player on Android. And VLC media on a PC. I had issues reviewing and resolved it this way. Lowered to 3 stars after a year since last review. Still no update to allow record to external sd card. I have 16G internal and 128G external on one device and 32G internal and 200GB on another. Constantly having to delete apps just to record from this. Easy fix they just don't seem to want to implement.
Insane quality on the video, clearest screen.
Bought it a bit before ice season tested it at home and it worked fine. First day on the ice it just crashed when i would view the camera. Conects to my phone fine but i just cant view it. Pls fixerino soonerino.
Sure wish the app wouldnt keep shutting off and would be nice to have some screen controls like contrast adjustment.
Everything is perfect except now i can't open gallery. I got great video of pike swimming near the camera, but I can't send it to my Outdoor Pursuits teacher because gallery just crashes because of this app :/
Works great on two devices so far. Galaxy s6 running 6.0.1 and a tab 2 10.1 running the same. The led brightness adjustment is not a slider. You tap the large and small icons. It's not rocket science, people.
Can't get it to work at all on my and my son's Google Pixel phone hoping for an update to correct this.
can not turn lights on since update android 5 .0 works on 4.4.2 Havein issues accessing videos and pics without the app running ... and the video file format doesn't play nice with kinemaster .The new update still says v 1.2 on my screen but 1.6 on this update what's going on?
If you can access for files manager on your phone/device there should be a folder for fishphone once you open it will have all the photos and videos you have saved stored in it
In this version of fish phone the slider for the light dimmer is completely gone bring it back and why not just fix the other version also both version when you are going into app say version 1.2
I use it on my tab s 10.5, ipod 4th gen and tab 3 8" and it runs smoothly most of the time. Last time i had it out on the ice the light would not turn on but after restarting the camera itself everything fixed itself. Really hope Vexilar keeps updating this app to improve it's functionality and stability.

Love the camera and usage. But accessing the pictures and videos is only available when the camera is connected. Would love to be able to either; 1- save the pics/vids to my phone's gallery instead of within the ap, or 2- be able to view the library without needing to connect to the camera. As it stands, when I shut the camera off and go home, I can't show the videos or pictures without opening and re connecting to the camera. Would happily rate 5 stars if this was addressed.
Video feed is broken up into a bunch of lines. Pictures come out fine. Unusable when the feed looks like scrambled cable. Using a nexus 6 with 5.0.1
Good day. Having some probles with illumination. Cant regulate level of light. Works fine with earlier versions, but do not work with A|ndroid 5. Please fix it, best regards!
The app is not getting updates. The lights are not able to be controlled with the newest updates. It's a great idea but only if vexilar continues to update the app. If they do not support the app; the purchase is a waste of money.
Will not work with Note 4. Looks like spaghetti on the screen. Needs to update for the new phones out.
Needs to work on the best phone on the market but doesnt...wwhhhyy...please fix soon.

Best camera for the money
This unit runs absolutely MINTY! I've had it for 5 years now, had it connected to 4 different phones at the same time. I am using it with S9, great quality, nice size, and no issues with the camera or the connectivity. Only issue I've experienced is not being able to access/share the videos in my phone gallery. The photos I can access in my phone gallery.
