I like that I can see sales from my local stores. I wish there was a way to edit the category and quantity of individual items, similar to the Out of Milk app. Flipp just sticks everything it doesn't have a category for into a generic "Other", even simple things like "broccoli, frozen". It'd also be nice to enter a price for individual items so I can see how much I usually pay.
Got worse over time. With every update the app becomes more bloated and laggy. Same experience on both my android phone and tablet. Either flyers take forever to load, scroll through the pages with major delays or completely freezes and crashes the app. Do I need to update my phone every 6 months to keep up with the hardware requirements just to look at some flyers? On the other hand watching high res video streams works flawlessly.
It works great most times. But often, the ad for one grocery store I regularly visit does not have the items touch-ready to add to the list. Or some items on an ad aren't active so can't add to the list. Very frustrating!! Means you can't depend on the app. :(
I've been using the flipp app for over 5 years now. It has all the latest ads in my area. I really like being able to search for specials on items before or even while I am shopping. I can circle things on the ad and then go to the lists when I get to the store so I don't forget anything.
Shows me the sales ads/flyers from ALL the stores in my area in addition to any others that I choose, always updated to current date & stating when each expires. I love that I can touch any sale & it will circle it for me & give pop-up w/ images & details of products on sale, even showing me coupons/deals from the store app that apply & letting me clip those right there in the Flipp app! Super convenient having all your options in the same place w/ your shopping lists & rewards/saving apps!
Does not show one of the grocery stores close to us. I sent the request for it a long time ago, and just got told they offer x amount of stores, impossible to get them all, etc. So, I feel they didn't make any attempt. The only way to get their flyer is to drive there (almost a half hour) or to subscribe to the paper--that we would never read-- just to get the Sunday ads. So, a little disappointing, since they have the best meat around.
Some images on the flyers are distorted, and some flyers are duplicated (some 5 times). Not all flyers are updated on time. The shopping list is okay, helps organize where and what to buy that is on sale. Good for price matching.
Love this app. Allows me to view flyers electronically. Reduces paper waste. Can search for items on sale that you need that week. Or groceries especially now that inflation has increased our grocery bills. I recommend everyone download this app. Like today. 👍🏾
This app isn't bad but has bugs. I don't like the pop-up that directs me to the flyer I am already looking at. That's just annoying. And I would like to sort the list alphabetically as the existing categories are not accurate. Otherwise, it does the job.
I like having so many flyers compiled into on area, but I absolutely HATE having to change my postal code to look at all of my favorites. I'm from a small town and often go out of town to shop. A set of stores is one direction and another set in the other direction. I can't compare prices in each place to see where my best savings would be. I want to be able to view all of my favorites on one page without having to change my postal code!!! If you can do this, you get a full 5 stars from me
Used to be great, but very buggy for a long time now. Regularly misses items from flyers (even on common search terms), freezes, slow to respond, shuts down, won't open.
I have used this app for years. The latest update was not an improvement. I do searches for specific items and my search results are awful. For example a local store has grapes on sale, when I search for grapes it doesn't show up from that retailer. I'm very disappointed with the search function. The app also suggests an ad for a retailer that is over 100mi away.
It's good, but getting too cluttered. Some retailers such as Walmart would have 7-8 flyers at a time including seasonal specials. Wish there's a way to mark them as "read", so they don't clutter up the "favorites" feed.
I used to love this app, but now the search feature has changed and is useless. It doesn't show items that I can clearly see in the flyer, like broccoli on the main page. It shows irrelevant searches to online items not related to what I typed in. Even if I filter those searches to only show my favorites and in store only. Additionally, those filter options don't stick and get reset every time you navigate to a different area. Put the search back the way it was or this app becomes unusable.
This app is fine, it works well, the shopping list can be shared which is great. Next I would love for the interface to be customizable: change the format of the list, have the clippings smaller or easier to browse through, I'd like to move things around in the list to put the fruits and vegetables at the top, meat in the middle, snacks and cans next. Customize to my liking plz.
Seems like a decent app especially for people living together but list sharing doesn't work as the URL invitation doesn't send an invite. It just redirects you to install the app even if you already have it as well as an account. Shame cause this would've been very useful for my partner and I.
Almost none of these grocery apps I've downloaded over the years contain manufacturers coupons, and this app also falls short in that department. And Flipp did not have my local grocery store. I wish there were rural grocery stores, or manufacturers coupons that could be used in the stores that aren't available on the app.
App often crashes. sometimes when looking at flyers a-z, once you're done looking at a flyer it bounces you right back up to the top. Hope they fix these glitches because it can get inconvenient.
this app is a convenient and easy way to keep up to date on all your favorite shops deals. no more over sized paper flyer to go though, it's all in one convenient and portable place. bonus points for the ability to make a "watch" list to keep a lookout for things you use all the time that go on sale, as well as marking off any flyer items you want and making a grocery list as well. definitely recommend this app for anyone who is a deal shopper and what's the best local price available.
This app is truly awesome! It does so much and saves a ton of time. Making a list, adding to it, clicking on the item to see where it's on sale, then clicking the store and it takes you to the store's ad where you can circle it on the ad and then it gets added to your list at the bottom and sorted by store is amazing! Highly recommend.
Love it!!! It's the store ads at ur hands and not having to keep all the ones that come in the mail. A big PLUS for me is that I get the ads a day late in the mail. I can just open the flipp app and see it, not having to wait for it the mail.
Why not allow additional stores to be added? I don't just shop in my area code. There's no price comparison, nor price alerts for anything. What exactly are YOU getting out of US? I guess it's somewhat convenient before the manufactured shortages to price gouge consumers. I can't really justify its use now.
This app helps to consolidate most of my weekly shopping items. Now I only need to follow one list. Hope more flyers will be available. After using it for the last year, I find that it is not well managed. Very often flyers was missing pages, or I couldn't circle the items I selected. I notified the team before but it wasn't corrected. May have to look for other options.
Flipp is a terrific app. Very practical. Useful. All flyers available. Easy to compare offers depending on what you're looking for. I use frequently with complete satisfaction.
UPDATE: Still all these issues! Half the ads don't open up! Many expired 2 or 3 days ago! No new ones to replace the expired! HORRIBLE APP! More & more issues! Blurry ads, expired ads, looking at an ad for a store & a tab pops up on the right CONSTANTLY, to view Aldi swipe! If I want to look at a particular ad, I'll tap on the ad it self! So annoying that I'm ready to uninstall! I agree with B Mathies review 💯
The app is great for the variety of flyers but I HATE that I need some kind of internet signal to be able to do price matching in stores. I often find I have poor internet in stores so this makes trying to price match very challenging and frustrating! Deleted the app and went with another app that I can use offline. Maybe in the future flyers could be available offline as well!
