Pretty frustrating that every time you try to use an eCredit the app 'times out' or restarts because of an 'error'. Also, it is a real treat when the app (or website) actual accepts your credit card and you don't have to wait 2+ hours to speak to a human just to buy a ticket. If the other airlines didn't treat people like livestock I would permanently switch from Delta.
Functionality is great. BUT I don't like being blinded by the brightness increase on boarding pass page when I am trying to do something else in the app. The boarding pass doesn't need to aslo have a menu on the page it would be nice to click into when I need it and not just have the screen sear my eye balls all the time when I am doing other stuff.
When I first started using this app I would have given it 4 stars, but ony most recent trip the app stopped working, which means I had to have a paper ticket printed fory connecting flight. I'm just glad I made it before the plane was boarding. If there's a good overall improvement after I uninstall and reinstall the app I will happily change my rating.
This app has gotten increasingly buggy. Every time I try to use it to book, it gives me an error after I select the return flight. It also always gives me the same wrong info when a tap "Where's my aircraft" to check on inbound status. Those are just a few of the many broken features in this app. It used to me much more reliable but Delta has been going downhill in general since the pandemic.
Lately displays "You have no upcoming trips" when trying to get my boarding pass. It does it randomly. It's one of the worst airline apps. Recently had the boarding pass on my screen while in the TSA line, and when it was my turn at the podium, my boarding pass WAS GONE. The TSA person tried to find it and couldn't get it to show up. Had to get out of line, go downstairs and back to the Delta counter for paper tickets. Even the agent said "the app and the self serve kiosk are both POS systems".
In general, this has been a great app. Its useful for booking, checkin , boarding passes, getting flight updates, and recently, it's been fantastic at managing the covid requirements. It gave me the wrong gate info a few times, so always check flightboards. The problem I have now is icon notifications aren't clearing so it's still indicating that i have 3 messages when there are none. Samsung tab s7, latest os, latest app If you're a delta flyer, you want this app installed.
This app has an incredible habit of not displaying ("losing") my e-ticket when standing in line to board. I've been Diamond since 2016, so this isn't my first rodeo. The app used to be far more reliable and less glitchy. I don't not know what the developers have managed to do for this result, but if Delta is billing itself as the top level airline, especially for business travel, they need to be proactive about this now.
This app is good when it works. Side note: when you need to check in or show your boarding pass, the app won't work. Literally, all those moments when you're in an urgent state of need for this app to work, it will be a complete and utter failure. "Technical difficulties". For a major company like Delta to have this many issues with their app and have them go unresolved is deplorable.
When it works, I like the app. Easy to check in, get boarding pass, etc. But it is very glitchy. It just stops working and I have to reinstall. Which I've done 3 times now. It is incredibly frustrating to check in and get a boarding pass through the app, only to have the app not work when you reach security! Use it, but assume it will stop working at any time.
When it works, it works great. But since January or February 2022 I've had a persistent issue trying to stay logged in (it seems to time out, throw an error, and then struggles to log back in unless I clear the saved data and cache). I almost missed a flight this morning because my mobile boarding pass (which I had when I checked in the night prior) couldn't be found. What was once a super useful app has become super buggy, will go back to paper boarding passes until they get it sorted.
Overall I like the app, convenient and easy to use. But in the last few days I've been unable to log in. I've restarted, un-installed and re-installed, nothing is working yet. It just says the app is having difficulties and asks if I would like to continue as a guest...no, I have a lot of miles and status I would like to incorporate into managing my trips. Help please?
This app was great until 2-3 months ago when it took a dump. I can no longer check in for a flight using the app. Instead, I get a message that says there was an error. I can no longer display my boarding pass in the app. And last but not least, if I attempt to search/book a flight, it crashes the app every single time. This is probably the buggiest app I've ever used.
The single worst app I've ever used. It logs me out at random and then won't let me log in unless I clear the cache, clear storage, and then do a fresh login. Even then, if boarding has started, I can't get my boarding pass to show up. I've started screenshotting my boarding pass because I know it's likely to disappear. You'd think one of the largest airlines in the world could make a stable Android app.
When my flight was delayed, a message auto generated about rebooking my flight. Whether I close that message with the X or click "view itinerary," the app force closes. This has happened on two separate trips 3 months apart now. It also doesn't keep me logged in, I have to log back in every time I open the app. It also doesn't let me check in, I just get a "you don't have a ticket" message, which freaks me out, everytime. Just don't install the app and check in on a computer then email yoursel
Overall positive, just like everything Delta. However since February 2022 i have been unable to fully book flights via this app. Each time i try to select flights and then book them, the app displays an error message along the lines of, "sorry we're having technical difficulties, please try your search again."
App is incredibly buggy. Constantly logs you out, even when selecting to stay logged in. My trips constantly go missing so you better take a screen shot of your boarding pass when you can. You get technical difficulties error notifications nearly every time you open it and are asked to try again. While Delta may be one of the better airlines to fly, the app doesn't reflect that. My experience is on the android platform, various Pixel devices (6 current as of this review).
Delta, you're a great airline and I've always been happy on your flights, but good grief, someone needs to figure out your app. It is constantly crashing, or having log in issues, and overall it rarely works like it should (this literally never happens with the Alaska Airlines app, perhaps you might consider reaching out to their developers?). In any event, on the rare occasions when it does actually work, it's very user friendly, but like I said, those occurances are few and far between.
Functionality of the android app is good but it is just so inconsistent. It logs you out randomly and then it can take multiple tries to get back in. I was stranded outside security yesterday trying to log on and pull up my boarding pass. When I use biometrics to log on it hangs EVERY TIME with a message 'the app is having technical difficulties. Please try again'. The only way back in is to clear app storage and type in credentials. I have recently also been unable to book flights.
Overall very easy and convinient to use. Works pretty much as designed. The issue I have is that it continously errors and logs me out ALL THE TIME! Not something I enjoy putting up with. Extremely annoying. Makes it very inconvinient when trying to board and the app errors out, logs out, then takes forever to load my flight info once logged back in. I usually end up snapping a screen shot of my boarding pass everytime I check in just in case the app logs me out.
This app has gone to garbage over the past month. Check in process never completes successfully without throwing an error. I have to uninstall and reinstall multiple times per trip because it starts throwing errors randomly. I'll take the old app without the new UI if it will just work when I need it to. I've started having to take a screenshot of my boarding pass if/when it ever loads because the app is so flaky I don't trust it to load when I need it at security or boarding. Fix it!
Usually this app is spot-on, but I have been getting a "We're sorry, the app is experiencing technical difficulties" error message for over a week now. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared the data/cache, rebooted, and hard rebooted. C'mon Delta, let's get a fix! I lose paper boarding passes like it's my job!
New version of the app seems to not be able to stay logged in. At random I'll get hit with "We're having technical difficulties" and then the app can't log in again until I reinstall it. The new Today redesign also can't seem to handle same day trips. The return part of the trips always fails to check in and I end up having to check in and get a paper boarding pass at the airport. App needs serious fixing.
Every time I pick an inbound flight and an outbound flight the app gives me an error saying there are having technical difficulties and to try again later. It has been giving me the same error since January. I have unistalled the app and downloaded it again and it still didn't help. I have to go online to book my flights which means there is no point in me having the app sadly. Very disappointed.
App is generally fine to use when it works but lately it's been so unreliable I screenshot the boarding pass if I can even get one, or use paper ones. It now greets me every time with "the app is experiencing technical difficulties." Yes. I've noticed. How about fixing them? Good airline, but it deserves a better app.
When it works it's fantastic. But it has "technical difficulties" essentially every time I fly, so I'm forced to uninstall and reinstall. As you might imagine that's the worst time to have to do that. This app is so unreliable I take screenshots whenever it opens since I expect it to fail the next time.
