Footej Camera

I have used this app and I have loved it for a very long time. Earlier this week, in the middle of a vacation trip, it stopped saving the photos to my phone! They're just gone! I've cleared the cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the updated version, I've done everything I can think of, and it will not record the photo I've taken to my phone, you snap the picture and then they vanish! Please fix this because it is a fantastic camera! Absolutely useless if it won't save your photos. To be clear, it stopped saving photos in the middle of a bunch of photos. It saved 43 photos, and then just stopped saving them. It wasn't a problem with allowing permissions to save on a card, or whatever. It just stopped.

Really I only got this app for the manual focus. It does do a pretty good job in other aspects, but I do prefer my Samsung camera more. More so because of the interface and ease of use. Footej Camera just has kind of a tacky look and feel. HOWEVER, I was very impressed with the notification button that comes with this app, very handy and easy to access all camera functions with a swipe and a tap!

This has replaced almost completely my stock camera app. The live view isn't too far from what the actual photo ends up looking like, but it does have some contrast differences. All the devices I use have a wide angle lens, and this app so far, is unable to use that second camera to take pictures or videos. The quality is way better than the stock camera app produces, comparable to devices more expensive than mine. I rate it 4 stars because it doesn't support, so far, the secondary camera.

After the latest update, when trying to take a photo or record a video, it is not allowing me to. The error message is saying that the photo cannot be taken because the SD card cannot be mounted. Even though the SD card is mounted and works just fine with all other apps. When i switch to save the files on the device storage it works fine. I restarted the device and still did not help. I'm using Sony Xperia XZ Premium and a Samsung U3 128GB micro SD card. Hope this can be solved.

Great camera for speed. Out of 5 tested apps this landed first for speed. I have done several tests on various decides, clean cache and memory, clean start etc. It is 2x faster than the worst performers (also free) from "start of the app to the first shot and picture saved" under same standard conditions and settings. While some say quality of picture is not so good, it varies but for an average standard phone this is good. Every second counts of you need to make picture as fast as possible.

The options were decent and I was almost sold but I went to take a picture in low to moderate light, meaning it wasn't really dark just kinda dusk but the camera just couldn't find its focus. The flash would blink but the app couldn't keep up and commenced to taking the picture after the flash had illuminated the subject and gotten dark again! It was actually laughable and sad at the same time. Pity too as it has actual potential and is a good replacement for low end device cameras

Good quality, lots of great features. Not ecstatic that you have to pay money to get the highest quality photos that your phone camera can already do but the dev has to make money somehow. For some reason the default "Photo" option causes pictures in Google Photos to appear with the panorama symbol when panorama mode is not on but that's my only issue.

Love it, but there seems to be a problem with setting the save directory for videos to the SD Card. Whenever i record a video, i always have to view it straight in the app. I can never view it in google photos or via a file explorer. This only happens when i set the save directory to anything else than the default path.

it was all perfect and I loved the app but since an update it changed everything. whenever i put the camera in the HDR mode the proportions of the picture get distorted and I've purchased the app and still not fixed. it's been months and I keep downloading it back to see if it was fixed but nothing has changed. my cell phone is a Samsung J7 metal. fix this, please!

Unfortunately, the app hiccuped far too often, leaving the camera unusable for precious 10+ seconds at a time in the frame loading in incorrect orientation while moments disappeared. Photos that did come through in other moments had unacceptable blur, whether throughout or around edges. White balance, exposure, ISO, shooting methods all in intuitive reach. All current settings always displayed. Histogram and other upgrades available. Uninstalled. Could be great if issues are fixed.

I'm keeping this app on my device because it does Slow Motion. As soon as it actually catches up and can utilize all three cameras, then I would consider purchasing it. I really would prefer for the entire viewfinder frame to be transparent rather than have the stupid black band along the edge that is just so iPhone looking. Xiaomi 9T Pro. Update: the black band is now transparent! Nice work!

20190424: good: nice interface, easy to switch modes (not fan of swiping mode switch, unless customizable). easy touch focus and long press manual exposure. good pictures. slow mo and time lapse! to improve: exposure beyond 1 sec. manual touch focus and exposure doesn't stay locked for more than a few seconds. manual control in confusing nested menus going different direction, show all option appreciated. note: random background network access and every time i open camera.

The app in general is great. I even made it my system app and was pretty impressed how it securely opened on the lockscreen. However, the app has some minor bugs. For example, the system navbar and the "take a photo" button overlap on my phone. Some pictures and videos also come out upside down which is annoying. And lastly, my phone has an "underwater camera" feature. If used with this app, a bug causes the navbar to malfunction and the recent app button to act as the home button.

Great app, but slow motion very buggy on my Google Pixel XL(Jittery with a small stopping). I even bought full version, unfortunately it's doesn't help. Also auto white balance sometimes is very inaccurate (manual in Kelvins would be great). The application does not cost a lot of money, but still a little unfortunate.

well from several camera apps that I tried out, Footej Camera is the one that unlocks my phone's full potential. I'm using a motorola g7 plus and all the features like shutter speed, iso, very very precise manual focus, several types of grids, shooting in raw mode, burst mode, etc are all unlocked. So I suppose that with a higher end phone can be just better.

i like this app because its more stable than my phone one but when i take a video its dark (on the auto brightness) when i go to camera on the same setting it is bright. when i take a video the things like exposure, focus, etc. overlap the photo/time-lapse modes and i cant see click on focus or anything overlapping cuz it clicks on the stuff below

After many years of using this app, I now have a phone that supports separating focus area from exposure area . Only the pro mode of the oneplus 6t can do this. I enjoy the UI of Footej as well as its many features. Maybe some day I will figure out how to use the fingerprint gestures.

The app works quite well especially with the exposure and iso controls, however, there could be an improvement in the slow motion video and this app should allow us to keep the burst photos as it is. When i view the burst photos in Google photos, it shows only one photo.

Best camera and slowmo cam but 2 major things are missing terribly . When shooting front camera doesn't have mirror function also shooting videos or photos don't have any effects . Monochrome and sepia at least should be . Please add effects and mirror. also please fix the bug of slow motion , after shooting footage when i play all the frames are visible it is not smooth slowmo also it is faster than i expected also please add internal video player and slow motion controller to be able to adjust

So far, I can take a good video and photos by it. There are great handling for manual focus, speed and light, when taking a video and photos shot. For improvement, if it can set a custom white balance (k) and able change resolution in camera page be better much.

I wanted to give it 5 stars purely that it's the only camera app working on Oreo/Pie Lineage based roms. However its lacking in some areas. Main one being the inability to select individual resolutions and bitrates. The app does support changing resolution and bit rates but is VERY limited to 480p, 720p, 1080p for resolution. Low, med, high for bit rate. With other apps such as Open camera my phone supports many more. There is also a clear difference in output quality compared to Open camera.

the only thing going for this is a polished manual mode, which now-a-days pretty common in the native camera UI. it was an utter waste of time. it doesn't give better quality photos compared to the native app, it just increases the brightness a bit

If you're not fussed with wanting the extra paid features, this is a nice minimalist app with a decent amount of control over your phone camera. Perfect for people who just want to take a photo most of the time, and may want to tweak exposure/iso rarely.

The only reason I don't rate Footej a 5 star is purely for the little things. For example I have the S10e and my front facing camera can record at 4k but the app doesn't let you, there's no option are the Ultra Wide, and it says the front camera is 6.5 MP but it's more than that so if those issues could be fixed that would be great.
