You are better of buying camera's from aliexpress then to spend to much on this. The camera's itself are ok, but theirs apps are complete garbage. 80 - 90% of the time you cant playback, because the damn thing doesn't connect. While all my camera's are connected trough internet wires, so is the NVR. My phone aswel has perfect connection to the internet 140 Mbps.
So many bugs, I have a PTZ and up until recently it allowed me to use the zoom function no it says its not supported and I've removed it etc and still doesn't work, the NVR does not update the firmware of the cameras or the box automatically as described brilliant cameras just poor support , I've made a few requests to support and have been told I can't do that like putting the camera DHCP on the same network other than a different subnet easy to do if I can get access to root of the NVR. Fix it
Very slow to sign in and view cameras. Shortly after signin the cameras all go blank for a second snd then come back. Confusing settings to allow use over 4g. Confusing setting to set lower resolution streaming mode. Confusing interface for playback, can never make it work anyway.
App works as expected. Rated 4 stars until further functionality is added, example would be push notifications on motion detect, for example (which I appreciate may require an NVR firmware update). It's a good companion app. Will often playback in slow motion for some reason.
This app has ceased to be of any value unless you are connected to a local wi-fi network. FORGET CHECKING THIS APP ON A CELL NETWORK. When you contact 'customer support' it is readily apparent that they have almost no knowledge and are basically useless. Don't waste your time on FOSCAM. Can't leave the 0 star rating it deserves
Latest app update appeared to break the live camera preview (though playback of past recorded footage worked OK). But... after a restart of my NVR unit, everything works OK so adjusting stars accordingly.
Really slow app functionality, 1.5 year update anniversary for the app that controls 200$+ camera, also playback functionality does not work and doesent play it at the time requested, always starting it at 00:00:00 instead of the selected time such as 19:41:00.
The app needs a fast forward!!! Also a way to save video to phone just short clips 3-1 minutes. You get a higher rating when these are completed.
Awful. Just plain awful. Constantly freezing when accessing playback mode. And you see they don't care when the app even has typos...
Cannot connect using mobile data remotely after recent update. However the Foscam dealer at my place was very helpful and helped me to troubleshoot and solved the problem. Everything is working fine now. It's important to add the NVR device in Foscam NVR app using manual DDNS method. Adjusting my Review ratings now. Due to the good service from my local Foscam dealer and problem fixed, I just ordered another Foscam R2 camera. However, the parent company Foscam should design more user-friendly app
App constantly has connection issues with both live stream and nvr playback. Doesn't matter if I'm on the same wifi network or over mobile data connection.
The NVR version limits the features on my foscam Camera, such as the optical zoom. Very disappointing, because the foscam hardware is good. Foscam aren't updating this app. It badly needs an update.
Hardly works! Defeats the purpose of having a security cam system. Bought a different system that is more reliable.
After having exchanged several emails they finally solved my DDNS issue sending me a new APK. I'll not deny that the solution took time but I can say that the customer service works. Now my cameras work as never ever. Thanks Yoko Deng!
worst app ever, keeps freezing and saying "login error" or "device not in line" also it keeps login out, hope they could fix it
Cameras are OK when new. But don't last for to long time, ... Plus that same issue like all others, the app doesn't work properly, ... FOSCAM TEAM, PLEASE SPEND SOME TIME ON THIS, ...
oh my god new version is not show even local network !!!!! I use modem 3G best connecten and speed internet but when use internet connection for view cameras show this message by application foscam sometimes No device online showing please check freamwork nvr and foscam app for connection portable net
I been struggling to get mine to work. Actually bought it since 2018 and brought it to Nigeria. Router problem and I can't view my house from remote.
Unable to view my camera footage and live video whilst away from home, not good and too many permissions needed.
This app is still appauling, your software engineers are abysmal. so many features and functions not present, for Gods sake do the job properly please
Apps doesnt playback and freezes constantly. Dont buy foscam cameras if remote access is important to you.
Totally rubbish app. most of the time it doesn't work. keeps saying failed.
Wouldn't even find any of 3 Foscam cameras on local network. So disappointing! 3rd party apps find all 3.
The app refuses to connect to my NVR over wifi. I can access it over mobile data but no video will load when connected locally. If I remove the device from my phone and then re-add it the app can see the device when connected to wifi. It even then shows video perfectly fine. However, the next time I'm access the app it again won't work. The only solution is to either repeat those steps or connect via mobile data. Why in the world do I keep wasting my money on foscam products.
