Foursquare City Guide

I have been using the app for more than 4 years. There are many problems in the app and none of them were fixed since I use it, for example you cannot edit your existing reviews, you cannot delete your 'History', photo tags are manual, you can't see your full review history, there is no confirmation after uploading a photo, when you close the app and come back the app shows you not a LP but last opened page, the app asks me to agree with T&C EVERY time I open it etc

Can't create a new account. Tried many times. The two step verification doesn't work. Total waste of time and another information gathering tool.

Very bad service from foursequare I am trying to update and information about one place from more than 2 month I've try to contact the support via all ways but no body response at all very very very bad not recommended it at all

This app is amazing; But place details are not update; many places are permanently closed but it's not written in foursquare. in addition; it will be very good option if you have add "The most viewed Places" in search filters.

I went to customer service because I only had a few items, no one was in line and I was in a hurry. Firstly I spoke to customer service person and was ignored so I pulled my cart up because I am an elderly handicapped women. I asked for service. She barely answered. When I waited 4 minutes I asked female manager to cash out. 2nd The lady who was supposed to help me raised her voice at me. 3rd I finally had her ring me up but she left to other register while cashing me out. It took too long.

It used to be a great app. It showed plenty of nice spots but now information is wrong. It seems like google maps is doing a better job

Same as most other reviews. After leaving a review on a town or a business and then posting it, nothing happens. It goes back to asking you to leave a review on a place. Nothing is saved in a newly created list. This has the potential to be a great app but this major issue needs to be solved!

This app has a strong interface that generally helps the user achieve the goal. There are a few minor changes that the app should make. If it were to change these things, it would be more likely to achieve its goal of discoverability of new places.

Can't add new venues.... I mean, the option is there but nothing saves as you add details, then when completing it doesn't show up at all. The UI is also pretty hopeless, as are the search suggestions. Worst of all is a lot of other apps use this data, so what the hell is the point if you can't update anything.

Would not allow me to create an account so I could not use all rhe features. I did try numerous times but gave up in the end.

Places are closed and not up to date of whats open, prior to covid even.

I've been having a big issue with photos not uploading to my tips and not uploading under the photos area of venues. I have tried several different times tonight and tried various different ways but no success so far. It will even say photo has been uploaded but will not show up even after searching for it several times. ‐------------After looking around some more I figured out that the photos were not uploading because I had not backed them up to my device. It was a very simple thing to do.

I've been waiting months for a resolution on my issue. I am no longer able to use the photos, stickers or tagging functions which is incredibly annoying. It auto checks me in and only I can see those check ins. I have tried resetting my account, uninstalling, even creating a new account but nothing worked. I emailed numerous times and no resolution. Useless customer service.

Very buggy! Tried to use it for 3 minutes and it was enough. Couldn't access the privacy policy (white screen!!) And the directions button does nothing. Accessed the map clicking somewhere else and then again, nothing... Sooo buggy :(

I have a love/hate relationship with Foursquare. What I love: a great way to find places. The advice and ratings are typically very good. I've found lots of gems, particularly around coffee ships and cocktail bars. I like that I can create lists to remember stuff. What I hate: that they just don't care about the app anymore. I reported 2.5 years ago that the filters don't work. I filter by "places I haven't been", then click into an item in the results and it says I've been there. BASIC stuff broken. History has never worked, zero items, despite hundreds of check ins. The top result for a breakfast place near me is 1hr 55 minutes walk away - are you for real (this is in London!)? Sadly they are focused on corporate services now, so this once great (and still pretty good app) will continue to be neglected and die.

Man, this app has problems. Created a list of places, but when I click on the on the icon to view it on a map it says "Hm, something went wrong. Try again." It also says that I have not been to any of these places even though I have clicked that I HAVE been to said places. The lists is kind of the whole reason I downloaded this app. It will only allow you to sign up using a Facebook or Google sign-in. If you don't have one of those, or don't want to use one, then tough luck! Probably uninstall..

Foursquare city guide is very helpful idea i highly recommend it

good app, like the restaurant/Cafe ratings shown on the map while searching for nearby foods. the categorization of different cuisines is excellent for multi-ethnicity countries like mine, there are Malay, Indian, Chinese & Western foods available here. improvements on "open now" & linking to Waze are needed. out of 10 times, half of the restaurants are closed or haven't open for business. wasted my time searching & arriving disappointed & hungry. quite unreliable info

Absolute worst app I've ever had due to the fact that it simply can't sign in. I tried waiting for over 5 minutes and it wouldn't sign in. I even tried closing the app and reopening it to reattempt to sign in and it still failed.

It will only let me upload one photo. I have tried numerous times over the course of several months. The pictures that are in there are years old and never get updated because nobody can upload new ones. The few tips my local businesses have are misleading or just plain wrong and in some cases they're insulting the businesses. I wasn't impressed

The worst app I have ever used. Can't believe this app has millions of users. App crashes everytime. I was trying to add a new place and didn't save the edits(tried adding website to the place atleast 50times ,😠😡). Don't get me started. I had a hard time figuring out how to add a new place. Once I managed to find it after reading blogs and YouTube videos, I had a photo for the store. Now I can't change it. There is nothing called as UX in this app. Website is equally horrendous.

Very annoying with unnecessary notifications and not really useful. Even Google Maps knows more... And if you are going to say that spam notifications can be turned off somewhere in the settings, I say that it should be turned off by default!

Great app, I've found many good recommendations. Suggestion: after searching, when there are multiple results close to each other on the map and stickers with numbers start to overlap, it is better to show in the front the higher rated (rather than lower rated as it is now).
