Love this app, so many stations all bringing you the best of the 50's, 60's and the 70's music plus 3 ELVIS stations taking me back to my teenage years. If your looking for rock and roll music your came to the right place.Sign up you won't regret it
There are times when I relive my past, listening to the 60's and 70's. The 50's wasn't my era, but I find listening to a slower pace of music is very relaxing.
It works fine and is super simple. The stations are in a list and they play instantly when you tap a station's radio button. There are only two control buttons. One is to pause and start the music and the other is to exit. It works with 4G cellular data fine. I don't know about 3G. I am fine with complexity but I really like how easy to use this app is. I think it is elegant in that it only has what is needed and no more. Kudos to the developer!
Good music on the 20's, 30's, and 40's station that you really can't get anywhere else. However, there are too many audio glitches that interrupt the music. This is not the audio scratching sounds inherent in old recorded music, but modern audio problems associated with the streaming service. I tolerate it as much as I can because of the rarity of the old music, but it gets frustrating at times.
This app runs much smoother, now that I've ditched my old phone in favor of a new one. It has a little something for everyone -- from the Jazz Age of the 1920's through the Disco Era of the 1970's. It's even got a station just for the '80s and '90s. I highly recommend it. Just make sure that you have an excellent phone, along with good WiFi. Some stations may cut off during a live stream. While others may be temporarily unavailable. The app still has its bugs and glitches, regardless of device.
I actually very much enjoy this app. I got specifically for a 40's/50's radio and it's absolutely perfect. I can lock my phone, change apps, etc without it stopping the music, plus every now and again there's, what seems like a mimicked radio host to add to the experience, making it feel like I'm actually listening to a radio channel, not just a playlist
Oldies stations are getting harder and harder to find , thanks for playing the music I grew up with , bringing back memories whether good or bad easy to use got it Blu toothed to everything !! Only thing that I can't do is keep the background station list's and artist to stay on while listening to the music and sometimes can't remember who sang the song 🤔
A really good oldies music app, close to what radio sounded like in the 60's and 70's. Of course top 40 radio repeated songs all day, but that was the billboard charts. This is the year 2020 your station has 2 decades of music pick from but many repeats. Case in point the group Abba, I hear "Dancing Queen" often, but that group had many hits try to add in a few more of hits. Otherwise the best of the music apps.
I love the variety. The songs rarely heard anymore because they aren't too of the charts. I am relatively new to this app so I will learn more as I play more. But for now I can say there is not the repetition that other stations have. I love the one hit wonders and the bottom 45. I find myself dancing more!! Thanks
Had to revise my review, I had given it 4 stars but have now lowered it to 2 stars. I understand the need for commercials but do them between songs not in the middle of them, I had one song that had 3 commercials and they weren't one right after the other, between each it would go back to the song. For this reason I am deleting this app.
I love it I would just like a place to mark my favorites. So I can get back to those stations easily. and maybe there is and I just missed it. my favorite is under the smooth oldies category it's called the Retro attic it's just wonderful playing the bottom 45 and the rare songs. It's like new music from the old artist. well almost like new I just haven't heard him in a very very very long time. Thank you for the hard work.
just works, as others have said so simple; no signing in, accounts, complicated menus or functions.
I love the variety! I'm a natural channel changer and all of these stations have a lot to offer me. I go to sleep with your 60s oldies every night 😊
Great variety. Need some bluegrass. Otherwise am very pleased! A minimum of ads.
Just discovered it a few days ago... one of the best classic rock formats in the New York City area... no commercials, and I love the obscure classic rock songs that are played...
It's quite a treat to have 38 radio stations across the globe at your fingertips. There are some forgotten gems of music to be found with this tuner of an app. Thank you much for taking the time and doing homework to put this easy to use platform, clean display, and crystal clear sound together. PS: listening to SOMA FM now, enjoying every single. Also PS: check out CZFM Toronto for Zoomer Radio and similar music to this apps stations.
Love this radio with the oldies. I can fall asleep, listening to them like I was back in high school. Love ❤️
I love this app. So many many stations. And songs I haven't heard in 50 yes. Love love love this
This would be the best App for Oldies music I have seen, its got a huge variety of music and there have been no drop outs in the music stream. Really been enjoying the music. . Such a change from listening to news, sport and weather on the local FM stations in Brisbane Australia. Well done guys for providing it for us, thank you.
Just came across KYA 1260 a few nights ago on my tablet. I am always looking for the perfect playlists to play through the night. This station has perfect playlists for my 77 year old ears; not heavy on any one format, just a great mix of "MY" music from the past. I discovered my friend "ALEXA" will play this station on my AMAZON ECHO that I have routed through a stereo radio for great sound here in Tennessee..
Very good app I enjoy the vast choice of music on the radio stations that you can choose
The new look is not as charming as the previous version with its triple bounce radio, however it remains the BEST Oldies App. Many brilliant stations accessible via this single app. Some wonderful obscure stuff from the USA. One step download and then loads of choice, many stations advert free. Always free, no demands for paid subscriptions. Love it! If you grew up in the 50s 60s 70s 80s you'll love it too. They also respond to individual contact and got my favourite station back.
From the fabulous music right down to the vintage commercials, the combo of Beatles-a-Rama & Golden Gate Great Oldies recreate the soundtrack of my youth. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE listening to them both from my homes in both Florida & Ecuador, but any oldies fan is bound to find something to suit their taste among the many channels available via the Free Oldies app!
Any era, any style. I'm 71 yes old. As a toddler all we had for entertainment was a radio. Tunes from the 30's , 40's and 50's are remembered and appreciated. Then there's the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 1990's etc , all at my fingertips with this App. Plus it's free! Some stations may ask for a donation from time to time.
all i can say is wow! this is a great selection of stations, each with its own unique style. classic hits, oldies, rockabilly... its all here. im hearing songs i havent heard in years. if you're sick of hearing the same old songs on commercial radio you"ll love this app.
Love this app. It comes in handy when you do not have access to any other music besides your phone. I love the variety of oldies that you can play and not having to deal with advertisements.
