Using Daydream VR version 2, and it won't recognize that I have a clicker. Every single other app I've tried has no problem seeing it. At the screen where you select whether or not you have a remote, the circle just keeps going round and round and round of you put it on the "I have a remote" option. The app is useless to me if I can't use my remote, so 1 star is all I can give.
A bit cheap in some regards but does the job of giving a decent "VR" experience with movies on your phone. Don't expect anything too fancy and make sure if you don't have the full screen function for the app on in your device's settings then put it on, otherwise your image will be off since you can't really make up for it in most "VR" phone holder rigs. The app can be slow at times and the picture quality isn't the greatest. I applaud the amount of setting and I hope they make the menus better.
I tried to use this while lying down and it failed. Please add a simple way to reset where you want the horizon, in my case directly above. I would also like an easy way to calibrate the horizon when it happens to be a few degrees off level. A way to scale the UI smaller so I don't have to look as far around to navigate the interface would be great. Thanks
Absolutely useless. Don't know what's going on with this apps development, since last I used it, it was near flawless. I was able to browse content without a controller or clicker thanks to the auto-click feature and videos loaded right away with no issues. But, now it's absolute trash. Can't change video quality, because the video orientation gets messed up and it freezes, only plays audio. Completely useless.
Incredible app! However, the irritating part is when I'm watching a video and the "loading" text appears for a split second even though the video is playing fine (tried in all resolutions). Additionally, the cinema setting is laggy. This could just be a device issue rather than the app itself? It runs fine without cinema background (360°, etc). Overall the app is amazing and there are probably great ideas you could implement in the future, I wish the best of luck to the dev team! Well done! 👍
This app is like no other VR app! Not only do you have access to the entire internet, there is no need for a controller or to use touch screen controls! You can simply use directional control by looking at what you want to select. Its convenient because it allows a fully immersive experience, letting you stay in the VR World for hours on end. Amazing app!
I love this app. It's very intuitive, and the controls are good. My phone doesn't support Netflix VR, so this is next best thing. I'm giving it the stars, because there's no option in this app to reorient the viewing angle to a lying position. Even the 'Recenter' option comes up only in a sitting position. Some of us want to watch a psychedelic movie, like Annihilation, lying in our beds. Fix this issue, and I'll change my review to five stars...
It's so good!! There's just one issue I have that I would love for you guys to fix. Whenever I'm in an app, in this case I was in your roller coaster app, whenever I turn my head to look around, it brings me back to the home screen. I understand how it would be useful to only have to tilt your head and go back to the home page, but this needs to be a feature I can turn off. Other than that I have no problems, keep it up! EDIT: What I previously said is an understatement. The tilt to go back to the menu feature completely ruins the functionality of the app. Whenever I'm playing a game and really getting into it, I'll tilt my head just a little to look at something and BAM I'm back in the menu. It's super annoying. Pleeeeeaaaaasse fix it, or provide some way to turn it off
This app homestly shocked me, I didn't expect it to be anywhere near this level of good. I do, however have some suggestions and features that I would like to suggest, and a bug or two to report. I think it would be really nice to have the ability to view text messages and see the time. And about the bugs, the internet explorer seems to be oriented incorrectly (it is sideways). Also, and this may be a hardware issue on my end, but the app will rotate clockwise, I can email you with more info.
Couldn't watch a single video. So I was trying to watch a video of The game: Team Fortress 2, and whenever I tried to watch it, it would play 2 seconds of it fine, audio and all, then freeze, says it can't run the video, then downgrades the quality, tries again, diwngrades quality, then says it can't play it, and then the video stops, and everything runs at 1fps. I would like Xbox crontroller support, as thats what im using, so i can type faster and use the options with it. I think its okay
The only issue I have with the app is when trying to watch Netflix through the browser. I can't watch Netflix VR on my device considering I have a third party headset and Google has a stranglehold on compatibility for the app. Therefore, Fulldive is my only other option. I can access the Netflix web browser site, and sign in fine but when going to watch a title, I'm prompted to install Microsoft Silverlight because Netflix thinks I'm on PC. That's the only thing keeping this from being 5 stars.
Best VR app i have found so far - Easy to navigate - Can browse the internet - can go on youtube - watch 360 videos - voice search (if you dont want to use the keyboard) - and you can even watch your own videos stored in your gallery . It would be better if they had a home screen button wherever you navigate to so you dont have to keep pressing back . But other than that its a good a VR experience 👍
Edit: Most features have been added back, but nsvisgtion is terrible. Refuses to let me use my remote in daydream and forces me to look at buttons instead of using the remote. Borderline unusable still. New update removed most of the reason I used this app, including the photo gallery. Pretty much no point having it now. Not sure why you would switch to a new platform if it wasn't developed enough to have the same features as the old platform
This app works exactly as described, but in my case, there's just one major issue. The view is constantly drifting very slowly to the left. I have tried absolutely every fix I could find, including reinstalling the app, and I even checked all my device's sensors. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.
The app has great potential. It is very comprehensive, covering a lot of things which several others do separately. What I don't understand though, is why would you charge people for an app which, clearly at the moment, doesn't work. If it did, fully, and it asked for a one off payment, i would probably go for it, depending on how much it is. I'm not sure about a monthly subscription. At the moment, though, this version doesn't exactly give me confidence that the pro would work.
The features are great but the clarity (base resolution), when compared to some other apps, is well below par. The browser lags a lot even on high speed internet & takes a lot of time to execute commands & fetch data. Non video contents (online page texts, bitmap images of buttons in UI, etc.) are extremely hazy. The link texts during google search as well as text in the URL box are TOTALLY ILLEGIBLE. Resolution (clarity) is extremely poor. Rest, I love the out of the box (creative) features.
It's great! I've used it on my nanna's phone and it works perfectly well! One issue i have is that since my phone doesn't have a gyroscope sencor, the app just freezes in one position and doesn't allow me to do anything. If you guys could make some kind of mode or setting for non-gyroscope devices, that would be amazing.
Good for what it is but not the best when it comes to configuring the viewing experience. They should consider adding options that allow the user to configure how the vr is displayed. As in moving each eye independently so that the user can easily fix any issues that may come up with their particular phone.
Probably the best vr app I've come across thus far. First of all, thanks for caring enough about your product asking for feedback. I come from a science background and have a few ideas that could make it even better if you want, just let me know. Some menus just need rearranging for a start, an ability to copy and paste URL s into the web browser (love the living room backgrounds, so utopian!).
okay, there's a lot I like and a lot i dont like. this app makes searching for videos very easy. much easier than the you tube app for VR so i dont have to take the headset off to find another video. it has a lock feature that keeps the video in place so i dont have to consistently recenter it. and the HUD option which allows you to see through the phone camera is amazing. i hate how small the video is though, and that i cant sync a YouTube account with it.
I LOVE the app! But, I DO have 3 complaints, that until fixed, I am NOT rating higher. 1) The option to LOOP YouTube and other videos, ESPECIALLY your own! 2) The ability to load/read .gif files, as .mp4/.mpeg videos CAN add up in storage, plus automatic looping!😁 3)The option to play ANY of my apps in FULL motion control VR! That last one is probably asking too much, so focus on the other 2 please!😁🙏Otherwise, keep up the GREAT work! BEST VR experience otherwise!😁👌
*EDIT*Developer is highly responsive and addressed my concerns with an explanation, honesty, and what they will correct. Its impressive u built it back in 64bit in time with just a few missing functions and no bugs in the release (afai seen)Its 100% stable on my S5 and stability>features imo. You prevented any interruption ultimately so thanks! its refreshing to get a real explanation, i dont usually care enough to edit *'s but 3 for the response and 2 more when the 'fixes' are released
The best that I can find (after trying like 10 apps)! Using it to view VR videos in 180, 270, 360 degree. Really appreciate if I can adjust the POV (maybe!): to zoom out the video a little bit to make it a litter smaller, sharper, and farther from the eyes (not sure if it's possible, though!) Also have encountered drifting issues (after installing several more VR apps; some of them may cause the problem I guess). Uninstall Fulldive and Cardboard and reinstall these two apps solved the problem for me. I'm using Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. Would be great if I can view local videos without connecting to the internet. A stand-alone VR video player, maybe!
I don't know what I'm supposed to do. All I see is a logo in my VR headset. My capacitive button doesn't do anything (unlike other VR apps) and there don't appear to be any settings or anything I can look at or activate. This is on a Pixel 2. Also I tried another of your apps and it too does the same thing, shows a logo that can't be interacted with and nothing else.
Great app to watch vr videos on. Supports both side by side and vertical 3d videos, which is excellent. Also supports 180, 270 and 360 videos. This is the only app that does this, as far as I'm aware. Couldn't care much for the other features, but what I've mentioned above makes it an excellent app already.
Forget about it... not one of their Play Store Apps works to either view YouTube Content videos that come up w/ links but never open. On top of that if you try to sign in with our Cell Number... they send you code after code you put in exactly and it never verifies you for access! ....always claiming the code is wrong when you know it's not! Is it a VPN use? No I've tried with VPN's turned off. Is it a Typo? NO! ....again I've had several people verify what I'm putting in is correct! I'm done.... not going to try to use this junk coded app again!
I really like this app because it's easy to use and has so many options but I cant even use it! The writing is not clear so I cant read anything and the videos just freeze. It's not a wifi issue and the sound and bar at the bottom keep going, but the video is just stopped. Please fix this so I can use it again.
Wasn't able to log in via FB. Logged in via phone # once. Tried to watch dozens of different things but not one single one worked. Some error saying an ad couldn't be loaded. Tried the app the next day and was logged out but now not allowed to sign in with my phone number. Nothing works. It seems like it will, it loads to the main screen fine, but not a thing after that, even after trying different video menus. Thanks for the update. I'll wait and try again in a while.
