Geo Tracker can help:

The application is able to record, even when switched off. Very long tracks could be recorded without problems
- you are limited by storage memory only. Recorded tracks are saved in GPX or KML format, so they can be used in certain applications such as Ozi Explorer or Google Earth.
When showing track on the map, the application keeps device backlight, which simplifies track navigation usage.Geo Tracker is based on public API of Yandex.Maps, so in trips over Russia and CIS countries you'll have the most detailed map of the area.

Useful tips & tricks to solve common GPS issues with your smartphone:
• If you start the tracking please wait with recording your activity until the GPS signal is found.
• Restart your smartphone and make sure that you have "clear view" of the sky before you start (no disturbing objects like high buildings, forest, etc.).
• The reception conditions are permanently changing because they got influenced by the following factors: weather, season, positioning of satellites, areas with bad GPS coverage, high buildings, forest, etc.).
• Go to phone settings, choose "Location" and activate it.
• Go to phone settings, choose "Date & time" and activate the following options: "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone". It may occur that it takes longer until the GPS signal is found if your smartphone is set to the wrong time zone.
• Deactivate the airplane mode in your phone settings.
If none of these tips & tricks helped to solve your issues, deinstall the app and reinstall it again.Be aware that Google uses in their Google Maps app not only the GPS data but also additional data of the current location from surrounding WLAN networks and/or mobile networks.

Seems to stop working after a while. I've twice tried it to check it out. The first time it tracked my route for a short while then stopped until I was near my destination. Then it started again but stopped until I was near home. Uninstalled, reinstalled, double checked all the battery power saving options. Tried again tracked ok to my destination and a short way back then stopped again until I neared home. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Used the app for years and liked it a lot. Almost perfect. Unfortunately since a few weeks it stopped working reliably- average speeds much higher than the top speed, picking up signal reliably only when I have the app open...
Amazing! Its the only app that allows me to record my routes and the next day follow them using the navigation mode. I could find any other app capable of doing that! Everything works flawlessly here! Keep it like that!
simple but detailed. clean,and professional. It will be the right gps tracker you are looking for. in few tabs, details of your trips are recorded and organized perfectly,professionally.
Honestly, it's the best tracker app out there. Speeds are accurate, easy to navigate, and gives a detailed explanation at the end.
Excellent app. Works well. Reliable positioning. Several save options. No problems. A year later and still five stars.
Simple and useful for biking and paddeling. Something off with the speed graph though. It won't show when youre stopped, still shows a minimal speed. Fix this and I would have a reference point for where I stopped during the adventure. Thanks
I haven't purchased because I want to know if it talks directions to you when replayed. That is what I need. Seems like it would get confusing if overlaps

Doesn't save my previous maps and I can't seem to divide put segments. Very accurate and helpful though
Great app! I know that it's not a Maps app, but it would be great to have the possibility to search addresses.
Great app. Two points of feedback: I would like to see aggregate statistics for trips rather than individual stats when I select multiple trips; I would also like to see an option for separate profiles, to isolate my car trips from hiking, etc. (perhaps through adding tags for each trip)
This app won't record in the background unless I disable power saving mode. Similar apps have no problem with this. Uninstalled.
Great app to see where you've been (and where you're going). Samples from GPS much more frequently than Google Maps
This is some high quality free content. No adds. No gimmicks. Simple app that does what it does very well. I donated to the dev and I recommend you do too. They deserve it.
Annoing notifications, constantly updating shows an alarm in the smartwatch every second, had to turn off notifications for this app in android settings. Otherwise great App, will be 5 stars when had notifications settings.
