As a Gideon I love the fact that this app has an audio feature when reading the Word. The audio feature can be used almost anytime. The fact that the audio has different people with different voices helps hold one's attention.
Great app because I love listening to the audio Bible and the way it's read. I would like there to be more translations like the NIV or NLT. Guessing there's not because so many languages are available.
It's like "watching tv" without the TV screen because of the multiple voices and sound affects... this is the best App!
If you want a quick-to-load, simple, and easy-to-use bible app, this is it. It is excellent for sharing the gospel in various languages. The lightning fast speed lends itself well for apologetics. Audiobooks are included, and the text comes with note-taking, bookmark, and highlighting features. A download option allows you to use audio resources offline, and after signing in with Facebook, the text can be used offline too. If the Word is a sword, this would be the sheath on the belt of truth.
It is really an amazing app. Very easy to use. The menu is at the top left hand corner represented by 3 horizontal lines. From here just press on your selection and you are there. It is also an audio book that works very well. One of the things i like most about Giddeons pocket bibles is the section "In time of need" right at the front of the book. And it is the thing that stands out as most valuable to me. I was given one when I joined the service many years ago, and I used it frequently.
Fantastic audio Bible, but thats about the only thing this app has going for it. The app freezes, crashes, runs slowly, and is not intuitive to navigate. Some versions of the Bible simply dont open properly. This app is basically the same as the Bible.is app, which is just as buggy as this one. As an alternative, I recommend the Bible app from OliveTree as the best one I've seen.
The audio in the Gideons Bible App is extra-ordinary!! It presents the Bible account so close to a real life narration, as it used to be for so many centuries before the Bible was printed.
I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS IS FREE AS GIDS WORD WAS INTENDED .. there is always a catch in Bible apps but not this on. I forward it to all my friends ..it keeps me focused as it's read n highlighted . It's a God send. Ty Gidion Bible Ty
Aww mannn I like it so bad , the human voice audiobooks are real and I get to read the bible while listening to it all I want to and Amen ‼️🤝 I hate that the bible keeps wanting me to sign it or sign up even when it did signed up before using it
It's a great app.i love everything about it except it would be greater if there was the option to choose a third Bible version, the Holman Christian Standard Bible. That would be worth giving a 5th star.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS APP!!! Only thing I ask is if you can please get the auto scroll working on the hebrew bible and it would be perfect! Thank you for making this app look so clean. I appreciate the beauty of the UI.
It is still new to me. Was disappointed when I was unable to connect on Easter, but I am hopeful that was due to Internet Access and not the actual App
For the past few months it has shut down when trying to change to KJV. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall multiple times but that doesn't fix it. I have been in contact with Bible.is Support Team and that is what was told to do. When I replied that I had tried that, they have not responded yet. Since then I found another problem: I can switch to a different language using the settings section, which is now the only way I can select a different language,and while the navigation text will change, the Word is still in English. On the Choose your display language page it states that this does not affect the language of Bible text or audio. What good is that if I need to share with someone of a different language?
This new version is a huge improvement from the original. The ability to use off-line is great and very helpful.
Great Bible app. I love that I can bookmark pages, highlight verses, and write notes in. Almost as good as a paper Bible.

Well done biblical app. It encourages reading of The Bible. (Only that I am a man of little wording, I would have said more.) The stars 🌌 I rated complete the rest.
This APP is brilliant! It is through this APP that I've realised that I prefer the ESV over the NIV. The ESV is somehow much more clear and detailed, and is therefore easier to comprehend and follow the story of Jesus. MY love for reading the bible has been rekindled!
By far the most non-responsive app on the planet. Very disappointing. What Language and framework did you use in building the app? Oh my, this is so bad. Its barely functional.
The best electronic bibble version ever...with great graphics and simplified message..easily understood...I have deleted all other bible apps on my phone and now only use this one...
Love the audio with the text... different versions of the bible... and different languages... The best bible app.
I loved Version 1.0, and the newest is amazing with so many languages, and readings, too.
Finally, a digital version of the Gideons Bible! One thing I would like, is for it to be Google+ compliant; pretty much, I want to have my bookmarks, highlights and notes, backed up. Electronic devices unfortunately do not seem to last for me.
This Bible app is not easy to use. It should be easy to use for witnessing and sharing, but it is not. When it reads a passage to you, scrolling is not smooth, it's jerky, and highlighting does not keep up with the audio. As a Gideon, I could not recommend this Bible app. I use Blue Letter Bible (BLB) for daily Bible reading and Bible Hub for Bible study. I could use "Follow Jesus" to witness, but I could not recommend "Featured Collections," because they are not ready for prime time. Too bad.
I have used the app for a week or so. I am pleased with it's design and layout. Seems to be very well thought out by the developers. Will update my review as I use it over time. So far my only request would be to add the NKJ and NIV translations. I did notice one thing. While exploring the app I selected different size fonts for viewing and when I selected a much larger size from a smaller some of the script (words) were superimposed on top of each other so as to be unreadable.
