Glitcher VR
Glitcher VR applies filters to your camera's output to render your environment in an interesting way. It also applies a barrel distortion effect to all filters for accurate image reproduction and comfortable VR viewing. The current version supports the following filters:

* Laughing Man (face detection filter)

Glitcher VR employs speech recognition for voice control and does not require any additional hardware to use. Simply swipe the magnet, press the media button on your headphones or the volume up button to activate voice control. Use the following commands to control Glitcher VR:

This app is designed for the DODOcase Smartphone VR Viewer and is compatible with the Google Cardboard, Durovis Dive, vrAse and OpenDive HMD's. This app requires a modern, mid to high end smartphone and Android 4.1, and has been tested with the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One (m7) and HTC One (m8).

This app used to work amazingly well on my old Galaxy S4 and even my OnePlus Two. My Galaxy S7 however shows nothing but a black screen. Apparently most newer Android devices are having this problem. The app probably needs to be updated but I doubt that's going to happen.
Like many of the other reviews, all I'm getting is a black screen with the the white line down the middle on my S6 Active. There is a settings option at the bottom, but it only directs me to the Google Play store.
Looks like a cool app, but unfortunately on my Nexus 5X the image is upside down. Some googling indicates that is is due to apps using an older version of the Camera API. I would very much appreciate an update :)
But it gives me a blank screen. No instruction, no promps. Just a black screen that does nothing
Awesome, minus bad voice controls. For those of you who see a great black screen, try making sure that your camera is not being blocked. I cut out holes in my google cardboard. Other than that the app is great.
It won't allow you to actually take a photo with the filter. All pics you take come out 100% filterless in you camera roll

I really like this app and I like using it but I have 1 question, am I able to change the selective color because I can't figure it out
I was able to get the standard picture from the camera, but couldn't add filters and voice command wouldn't respond.
My nexus 6 works for video apps but in the camera function I end up with double vision where there are two side by side items.
Works okay but the image is heavily distorted. it's squished on the sides. instead of squishing the entire feed from the camera on each eye, it should do like 2/3 horizontal on each eye with 1/3 overlap. then this problem wouldn't be a thing.
Just a black screen for me, look at how many 1 star reviews this has.
This app is incredible, but with a few issues. It crashes now and then, using the voice command takes FOREVER. A big concern is that when you use effects, they don't show up in the video! I had to rate it so low due to these issues.
My only problem is the fish eye effect is a bit too intense for my liking. Other than that it was great
Downloaded this app ages ago and it worked, now I just get a black screen (Note 4). Please update.
The voice recognition is a good idea but a bit difficult to get right and doesn't always work. Would be better to just press the button to loop through or have a menu like cardboard demo!
First app I've used that looks like double vision and not 3d. Nice touch with voice control.
All I get is a black screen with a line down the middle with a settings icon below it. I tap the screen and get the Google speech sound. That is all. I can hear my camera trying to focus but nothing shows on screen. Galaxy s6
Its pretty cool, nothing more than a fun toy, got really dizzy after using it, would only recommend using it for 5 minutes at a time.
So I had this app on a Galaxy Note 4 and it worked perfectly fine but the device broke and I got the same model as a replacement and now the Vr mode no longer works, please fix this bug and then you'll get a nice 5 star rating from me :).
Black screen with Note4 android 5.1. The sound recognition works, but no cam. Image 8( If this will be fixed it probably it will be a 5 star app.
Also UI is super unintuitive - virtually impossible to use without reading the "user guide" on the display store (the sound indicates it's listening for speech recognition, but saying "help" doesn't do anything).
The only thing I would ask is that there was a way to turn the barrel distortion off, since all it does for me is stretch the camera image and zoom in, which makes it painfully awkward to move around whilst using the app.
Voice command doesn't work. Since that is broken the whole app doesn't work since it is the only way to change the filters.
Black screen the whole time. Able to use volume toggles though.

I had opened the app and it did nothing it did not even turn on the camera. It was just a black screen.
I've long wanted to view the world through mediated reality graphics filters, so this is a fun app for that with Cardboard. Since the phone only has 1 camera it doesn't give you depth, so it's hard to walk around in VR mode. That's not their fault, but what is is how the view distorts radically if you turn your head, because the horizontal is distorted by 1/2, while the vertical isn't.
