I've been using this app for quite a logn time (2 years), and since 2022 I've gotten a bug which disturbed me for my homework. It can't refresh the app for some reason and it says that i need to check my internet connection. My connection is good, and I'm very close to the position where the wifi comes (my house wifi). I honestly can't even do anything about it. Please fix this, it's disturbing and only trash apps happens like this.
I used to like this app, but just suddenly stopped working, I can open the app but can't open any of the homework or read any newsletters, the pages don't open. I have provided feedback but nothing happens. Unfortunately this is the only way to see the homework! I have tried uninstalling, removing the account, clearing cache, restarting, sync data, nothing works.
This app was great until the April 15 update. Now I can't open any of my student's attachments. Video, pdf, etc., none of them will open. Tried reinstalling the app but no luck. Thank you to Google for the suggestions for possible fixes, however the suggestions made revolved mainly around the desktop version of classroom. My problem is with the android version. EDIT: Well after yet another reinstall, Google classroom is once again opening attachments. Great to have it working again!!
It was a very useful app especially nowadays that we are in the midst of pandemic. But I failed some assigned assignments because of some error in times that i was about to attach a file and it couldn't attach as well as reviewing my modules. I tried to find ways on how to fixed it but I can't. So please try to fix and see to it what you can do. So that all student's out there will not encounter what I have been experienced thru this app and wouldn't missed any assignments or exams. Thank you:))
The concept is good but not really well done. This is an app for receiving and submitting classwork, files and links. Like the notifications, to-do list, and due date features. Here's the problem: there's no way to search and find a specific assignment or message, so one needs to keep scrolling down till they get to that message. Also, students should be able to customise their to-do lists. Assignment questions cannot be copied to clipboard or shared.
Since it's last update on April 8th 2022 Google Classroom has been giving multiple problems. It's stops editing the file in the middle, doesn't save the edited work or the screen freezes making it seriously difficult to mark assignments as all work goes to waste. Every single time have to uninstall it and then reinstall it just to get it to work again. This has been happening since the last update.
The app was great all throughout my school year since pandemic came. This become one of the used app in my school but I failed twice in exam because I didn't turned in the paper I uploaded because of the notification blocking the turn-in button. Kindly put the notification at top so the turn-in button still visible. Now I have to retake my semester.
Since it's last upgrade on April 8,2022, it's having multiple issues. The app doesn't save edited work, gives screen freeze and just restarts at its own leaving your work unsaved and wasted. I am having serious trouble marking assignments and it's all since it's last update. I have tried clear cache, it doesn't solve it. I have to uninstall and reinstall to make it work.
It's an app that is very accessible and useful, especially when the teachers and students are remotely distant from each other. It gives an avenue for the students to exerience the vibe and atmosphere of a classroom virtually. I just hope that they can add an additional feature where chat feature per class is possible. It will be more convinient if there is a readily chat box that allows the students to send a private message to their teachers or send data in their group chats.
I am apart of a few google classrooms and it's always worked well. I am all of a sudden having problems with my own classroom. I open it to write an announcement or post an assignment and it just crashes. I've tried installing and reinstalling and updating. Any help greatly appreciated!
Fix the problem when uploading a long video or big file. It takes too long that it doesn't even upload the file and just keeps loading. It wastes my data connection. I don't have WiFi. FIX THIS PLEASE! IT'S BEEN MONTHS AND THIS PROBLEM ISN'T SOLVE UNTIL NOW! Also, put a progress bar when uploading a file or document so we can see how is the uploading doing.
The app is good and does it job. But I would suggest that a "Filter" option be provided, so that we can search for assignments/posts that were posted on or before a specific date, or filter out posts from specific person, and also based on keywords in the post. If I want to search something posted 5 months back, scrolling through the entire list to eventually find it is such a pain
Why is there no dark theme? As expected from Google, this app is, like a others, pretty mediocre in terms of functionality, but on top of that it's also lacking a dark theme, making the UI inconsistent with the rest of my phone's UI. I don't understand why (almost) all of Google's apps (webapps of course not) have both a light and dark theme, but this one in particular does not. It seems to be a rather trivial change to make, however they chose not to implement it for this one.
I've been trying to login to my account but it keeps showing me an error that says it failed to log in and that I should try again. Reinstalled it a lot of times but kept seeing the same error. I'm positive my account email is correct as well as my password. When I tried to add an account, it keeps saying the account is already registered in the device. What gives?
I can tell that i like the app but i can't even tell not at all times this is good to use, because why? Ok i'm telling now. First there is some bugs like if you create a class and add students if you typed wrong email account there was an fake account that don't have any profile picture, and the same that i typed but it's wrong but i really don't think that, that'll happen. Second bugs again, le'me say, there's an update that bug fixes but for me it's nothing changes so that's all hope fix it..
The app barely functions and on the odd days it does it constantly crashes and freezes. I have missed due dates on assignments because they said they were turned in but two days later I get an email from my teacher asking where the assignment is. You are literally one of the biggest companies on the planet, can't you direct some of your more competent programmers towards this than another project.
The web version is great, however, the mobile version is quite laggy. When I do turn in schoolworks in my loptop and check it out in my phone somehow i still see my turned in works not done. I also bought a new phone, still, not that responsive. I'm not sure if everyone is having the same trouble. But overall it's not that bad.
After the last Update, I've been having difficulty making copies of attached files for my students. I set the option to make copies for each student, but the App reverses it to the 'View only' option.
Great app, if it ever works again. It's always saying "something went wrong, check your internet connection and try again" and just not loading anything even on a perfect wifi connection. It's broken. Edit: It works fine on browser, this is just concerning the app
This app does its job. But, I think the UI could've been better, like other Google apps which have a colourful UI. Also, it is really slow, it takes a lot of time to refresh and ages to upload any document. Also, the inbuilt scanner is not good at all. But, there are no ads, and it is useful for school. So 3.5 stars for me. I really hope you improve the UI and make the app a bit faster. Thx.
I installed this app for school it crashed the first time I opened it and the second I couldn't access my assignments. When I finally got to a page where I could complete my work I couldn't even open a Google document up. The website is the only thing that works properly sadly. Don't download
This app in my opinion is good not great. I would suggest you to include a feature of dark mode. When I download my files for offline viewing, the document doesn't open, telling to connect to the internet. I hope you solve this problem.
Although it is useful ,but not for students ,for teachers it is very useful, easy to pick out who didn't finish the work,even though teacher forget app will remind them and a lot of features available to make uncomfortable to students (deadlines,done late,work missing,etc....)
Whenever I am editing and old material i.e attaching some more files in it, I am not able to save that again. It always prompts that can't save draft, try again or discard. I am facing this issue from past 1 week. Please resolve this issue at the earliest.
pretty good for school work has some minor bugs. Im only in middle school and yet, I put four stars just for it's overall simple design. most of the one star reveiws were written by 7 year olds who dont like the idea of having school work online. overall, pretty good app. keep it up!
What I don't like about this app is when I am about to submit my performance task, it still takes forever to upload even its a 1-min video. Uploading pictures, documents, etc. is OK but when it's a video I can't attach it because its taking a long time to load and it's really irratating.
Upcoming work doesn't show up. Requires you to add your school Google account to your device to use it. Uses a lot of background data for some reason. You can't turn off email notifications - I keep getting classroom spam whenever someone posts a comment...
Worst update from google. Wifi doesn't work, opening files from teacher works only on cell network. Restarted the device, cleared cache and even reinstalled it to the latest version, still no hope. Used to work fine before the update.
This is trash I can't save my answers in the Google docs and I'm super sure that this app is not really updating their bugs or problems because 3 months of not able to save my answers in my google docs this is the number 1 problem they have and I want this to be fix because it's annoying and stressful not able to use the docs to answer Learning tasks or questions that the teachers assigned to us students. And this thing has a problem for not opening files like this file is not able to open.
I am actually using this app and it's good! I can even have meetings through it, organize class material and add tests. There's no limit to how many test or quizz can have active. I'm still experiencing this app but, today I can say for sure that this app has helped me and it's a free. I find this very useful. I think it still need some updates to configure somethings up, but once you start to get used to it, you will not have any problems with it.
