Google Earth

Google earth is an amazing app. They hold the unique distinction of being an app that really has no viable competition. They are the only company that has been able to do anything like they've done with Earth and have held that title for ages. I love exploring the world, especially 3d cities, and often spend hours at time doing so. Learning about parts of the world I would never otherwise be able to envision so clearly. Probably one of the coolest apps I've ever used!

I love looking at this & can spend forever just finding different places around the world to zoom in on. The only flaw I find it suffers from is that after a while of use, it freezes & kicks me off...almost like an over saturation of information the app can't handle. Other than that its a terrific idea & can cause you to really get lost staring at images of our amazing planet.

Seems to lack most basic features from the regular program (like timelines and image dates, plus Sky and Mars, etc.). Plus most of the other stuff. Not great in comparison. It has proven basically useless for most of the reasons I've had for using it on the fly. Desktop version is far superior. But it works smooth and zooming, scrolling, and rotating the camera, as does street view. I'm just surprised this is so lacking by comparison, given the computing capabilities of modern mobile devices.

Great for finding whatever place on Earth you're looking for! Being able to see how many miles are between the places you want to go is great. Plus the story mode and places of interest that come up randomly are great and keep the experience fresh. You can disable those features if you're not interested of course. The graphics and animation of the globe is top-notch also.

Old versions are better. They had routes and transit lines. Easier to navigate. These new versions don't have those anymore. I selected the "include everything" option, but they are still not showing up. The old versions had a better map system. I have to download from outside Google play to accommodate. This version is useless for me.

Can not open kmz files on new phone. My old work phone worked fine, upgraded to a better newer phone and now my kmz files will not show on the map. Still an issue a month later.

Amazing stuff !! This app can take you anywhere around the world. It's really awesome, amazing, fantastic, fabulous, fantabulous, outstanding & excellent app . I've alsso travelled many places in United States of America, Japan, Switzerland, France etc through this app only. It gives a feel like if you are really present at the particular place. I've used the street view option in it & the functionality of the option was just applaudable!!!!| | am very satisfied with the app.

Good when it works........ but crashes every time I use it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A - not used it for ages because of this, but just tried it again and in the last half an hour, it must have crashed 6 times - it freezes then closes down. When it works, it's OK though, rendering on default 8s alright, but put it on the highest rendering and it takes ages to load.

I remember using Google earth years back, they have heavily blurred a lot of parts of the world, with our technology there's no way you can't improve this.

Works well but satellite view is YEARS out of date. UPDATE: 14 months since my earlier review, and satellite imagery still hasn't been updated.

I like this game soooooo much there is so many countries, State, city's and much more.i also explore the countrys like usa,Japan, Australia ets and I can also see the background of earth 🌍🌍 wow 😲😲 so Many milky way, stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good job...keep it up.... I am satisfied with this app...

We use Google earth several times per month. Always a huge help. And it's fun to explore other places.

I love this app! My family and I can use this app for directions to go somewhere without asking some people, I have really bad anxiety to ask people so I think this app helps us a lot!

Crashes without rhyme or rhythm; if you use this app, expect frequent (every 4-5 minutes) crashes to home-screen. Not advisable for anyone looking for a smooth or optimized experience. Google should be better, but it's not 2010 anymore, despite what the horribly out of date maps will show you.

Why can't Google Maps be like Google Earth? 90hz support, the interface doesn't stutter or lag, plus the animations are beautiful. But sadly because of the lack of some features from Maps this app is essentially useless for navigation. Naturally it wasn't designed for that, but wish it was.

AsI love geography, as to any who seems to have interest in geography I highly recommend this app because it is very helpful. I mean you can do alot of things like measure distances and it also randomly picks a city. After all, its a really good app as I said I would recommend it if you have interest in geography

The app was fine but the quality, texture, the places were not updated. As I look for the places i've been a year ago, which I am aware that today It already improve through out the year. But why does it seems like nothing had changed. It just that the app only pointed out encredibly/ places but not the poor once.

Used to be excellent, but something has gone wrong in the last few days, since a McAfee update. They don't work at all well together and Earth doesn't fully load, making it virtually unusable. If you're lucky, you'll get a message saying server error. If not, you just watch the wheel, which never progresses past 6%. After uninstalling McAfee it was fine again. But I've paid good money for McAfee protection. . . . Can they and McAfee jointly sort things?

Google Earth is Extremely Helpful when needing to locate a address that you have been hunting down on:) Remarkably Outstanding Graphic design! Absolutely the top BEST located addresses - not only showing exactly where the general area it's at but also showing exactly what you're house, apartment, condo, property... Etc & so forth.

App works great. Although the street view is not available most of the places. The 3D is of course alright. But the main problem, while I'm viewing it for sometime, then the screen goes black and exits the app.

I would give it a higher rating but this app is many many years old. There are places that I've been to that have buildings and gas stations that this app shows it doesn't. They need to fully update this app to actually show EARTH and Everything in it.

Will not remember pins, even within a session. Extremely slow to populate names and roads etc, despite me having a very fast data connection that is extremely quick in all OTHER applications I use. Not in any way as useful as desktop Earth.

I love using Google Earth! I can visit old neighborhoods. I used the app to peruse the neighborhood where I bought my house. It is easy to check out various restaurants and other places of interest in a neighborhood. I also really like to visit places around the world through Google Earth. I also very much like your measuring tool!

Okay so not to be rude, but the app takes way too long to load after waiting for 5 minutes the app says I have no internet connection! My internet speed is extremely strong and fast and it is unlimited, I can't even use the app, I did everything I refreshed it, restart my phone but nothing worked! Absolutely nothing! I'm sorry but I'll have to give you 1 star🙂😀
