Google Lens

Great and impressive app but... Not very user friendly. The bottom windows gets on the way all the time with suggestions that cannot be selected. It makes it impossible to select the text anymore to copy it or translate it for example. A "select all" option would be great.

The way in which software is making a quantum leap insofar as the capabilities are concerned means that we live in interesting times. The way in which Lens reads texts from anywhere in any font is mind-blowing and that it can then translate it from whatever language it detects into English would have been considered the stuff of science fiction a decade or so ago. The possibilities are endless.

Use this to take a photo and search the internet for the item in the photo. It works pretty good although if you have a unique item it obviously won't find a match but it will find similar. You can scan plants/bugs to identify them too. Price comparison for online shopping too. Many ways to use this. It is not always accurate but you can see that it's close and most times gets it right. So I wouldn't use it if I needed to know something for sure.

Awesome. Results are terrific when I have a good camera. Results vary when the camera is of lesser quality. I just tried to show my Dad how fantastic the translation is - we'd received a letter in French that was a bit difficult to read as technical verbiage was unfamiliar. It worked *perfectly* on my phone, but couldn't pick up all the text with his Amazon fire tablet. It would be helpful if there was an easy way to switch to black and white adjust the contrast. I might also be shaking...

Had this on my phone for years, and never really made mush use of it up until now, but this is one of the most useful apps you can install on your phone. The photo search feature is amazing. While it doesn't always give completely accurate results, it's so incredible to think that you can point your phone at something, and instantly retrieve information about pretty much anything, plants, paintings - you name it. Wonderful!

I am absolutely happy with this app. Its very helpful at times. Finding any answer, any photo, translating any text, etc. it does in clicks. I am totally satisfied with this app and would also recommend the reader to download... Sometimes the lens shows "Something went wrong, you will get notified when lens are ready. Or try again". Then the notification comes and you can open the results. But some of us find this bad that they are not getting notified due to some reason. But its totally fine.

App is useful over half of the time. I'm a collector/seller so it really helps me to know not only possible value, but actual names and brands sometimes when I didn't know it. But sometimes it is WAY off pulling up totally different things and it would be great if we could tell it that that's not what they are pulling up and to try different stuff.

Truly a fantastic app! It helps so much with reverse-image searching, makes it a faster and easier process especially when identifying scams online today and searching for people to find out who they really are when they contact you. Search your images and screenshots in your phone or simply use your camera for anything imaginable and have the power of Google to help you search. There are many more uses for Lens than I can list. Excellent work, Google!

Great!. Not only for flowers, trees etc. But also for man-made objects - buildings, fittings... Replacing a ceiling lamp in France, I was surprised by a small rectangular object falling out. A bug? No, an ancillary connector, apparently normal.

This app is awesome! I'm finally able to identify all the plants in my new yard with ease. It's very accurate and links to info sites about the photos it takes. I'm just beginning to explore what this app can do and I already love it! Possibilities.

Very good when it decides to work. I have 2 phones with it installed and both of them it say no Internet. I have also disabled the firewall on both of them and the same. Either app problem or Internet but it was working before so ihdk

Great app! Overall very impressive tool. There are so many practical applications for this app. I'd like to request a 'reading que' type function for quickly scanning multiple pages to have read to you. Over all this is a great app and very useful!

So impressed by the variety of items and plants this app has helped me to identify! As long as you take time to properly photograph the item it will find a match or something very close to it. From jewelry and the designers to weeds!

Doesn't work at all. Can't be opened. Once it opens, a notification on white background comes up saying "Thanks for updating; Google Lens will be available soon. Please try later" I've uninstalled and reinstalled two times. Still the same. I've gone granting all permissions to the app. Nothing works. It works on my second Android phone but not on this Galaxy A52s. Why?

Google Lens is a very useful app. It allows you to use your camera in locating item specifics; brand, size, model, etc. The results give multiple websites regarding the item searched. Works great in locating information on even some of the most difficult to find items. If an exact match is not found the app displays items that are a close match. I've tried other apps that say they can do what Google Lens does, only Google Lens can provide such accurate and detailed information. Thanks Google!

My mom loves to ask me and others the name of different fruits/plants and after a long time of convincing her she finally downloaded Google Lens. What can I say? She is sooo pleased. It's easy to use even for a pensioner with little knowledge of smartphones. You can get a translation of text into your language of choice as well as even find where to buy said item. All around excellent app. I recommend!!

The reason of rating 4 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐ is because, This app is very good. it's very very easy to use just click photo Or send image 🖼 direct by your gallery and get answers. It's helped me lot for my holiday home work. It's very useful for all students while for those also, who are weak in studies. And the reason of rating this app 4 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐ is because when i sometimes have doubt in any subject and when I send image on the lens it not always show me answer related to that question which i want.

This is the kind of innovation and brilliance that should be leading new technology. I want to see an app that can help diagnose a sickness by looking at a body and can read vitals (which my phone can) or take blood pressure and body temperature. I know the technology is there. Rock on Google. Remember this when you take over the world 😉

Often it's important to highlight text on websites to copy and paste to a notebook or document outside of the browser, & having a good OCR app or browser extension has become a necessity. Google Lens makes it easy in this situation.

Loved this app from the first day I figured it out. It's one of the most useful , helpful and well written apps Google has ever done. Plus it keeps getting better with each update the opposite of most Google apps! Whoever is in charge of this gem needs to be promoted. Thank you for a great product.

I normally don't review things like this on a regular basis, but I got to say that this program is incredible. Aside the fact that this program is free, but all I have to do is just put the camera anywhere I want and it will give me whatever information I need. A cute cup I see on the table, for example, I use Google Lens and tells where I can get one..or if it's in a different language it will translate. very much impressive. like i said, i dont review usually, but google did it again. dangit

No matter how many times I log/sign in the lens won't work. It prompts me to a page that says the administrator won't allow me to access the lens itself. Although after I click a link about the highlighted text that says "administrator" it takes me to a page where it says I don't need permission since it is an account not bound by any company, and so I change my password. But it won't even do anything. Hope you'll fix it.

This app is FANTASTIC! I've been able to identify plants and other objects using this app. The țranslate text is amazing! The app will translate text on a sign in real time (i.e. the translated text on a sign will stay on that sign as you move around). The app can solve math problems. This is a remarkable app and it's free!

If you can't figure out what something is just take a picture of it with this and it brings up lots of options. I can also translate signs and written things in foreign languages. Didn't get 5 stars just for the very few things that it couldn't help me with.

A work in progress, this has real potential. It isn't quite there yet, but if Google doesn't pull the plug an give up, this could be a great app. On the upside I am working on something similar, so if they do give up you can download mine.😉

I love google lens, I can find just about anything that I want and compare prices. I might even start selling some beautiful things I've collected over the years and its nice to know the value of them!! I love to use this app when im shopping for a particular item so when I get to the store I just take a picture with my Google lens and it searches other places for the price. This is a great! You can't go wrong!
