Hello, It's great that it became Android Auto. I want to use it again, and buy Premium, but... When driving with Sygic in Android Auto, I see that, I can't use "with North up" ! For me, it's impossible to use it with the screen rotating every second. Please could you solve this ? For the moment, it of no use for me. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Vincent

I regret buying this App, f.. k me up on several occasions. I'm moving to Waze which seems way more efficient (did a live comparison recently). Some defaults/bugs : Keeps sending you back to the road you're trying to escape from, unreadable minuscule street names (no font size setting in my vers.), favorite places keep getting re-sorted in whatever f...k order Sygic wants, having to escape the App to get to the menu, etc...

pleased with this app for a year or so, but now making random detours off the route for a short distance then returning to route. also frequently freezes after first opening the app when trying to select destination. have tried following suggested fixes and now updating maps. hope this cures it, otherwise may need to do full app reload.

Over the ten years I've used it this app has slowly improved. Still not perfect, but I prefer it to the others. I've recommended it to plenty of people, some of whom have gone on to buy the full product. Not any more. On top of the lifetime licence (which of course turned out just to be an invitation to buy the extras) among other things I paid for the annual 'Premium' upgrade, primarily for the mobile speed camera data. That was in July last year. Technical support didn't seem to care, taking weeks at a time to reply. It appeared to be installed, but just didn't work. I gave up and asked for a refund. It's about £10. They've offered 60% because - and you'll love this - because of the use I've had from it. Yep, the add-on that never worked. I assume that you'll think twice about using a paid version. Hope so. There you are Michal - was it really worth saving that £4? (To be clear, I offered Michal - the tech guy - the option of actually getting the add-on to work and restarting the subscription as an alternative to refunding, but no, CBA I guess).

Good map navigation with a few gripes. I tried to use the feedback tool and it kept going to a share page on my phone. But the big issue with this app that needs to get fixed is using it through android auto, if you say "navigate me to Springfield Walmart" the address will display but it says "no search results" so then I will need to tell it to navigate to the address that's written in the search bar that I'm reading from the app after it's telling me where it is.

The core app with positioning and turn-by-turn based navigation works well. However, it does seem to favour rabbithole hard-to-navigate side streets over the main ones and sometimes sends one into heavy rush-hour traffic in order to shave off a minute or so of travel time with that advantage quickly melting away in the overhead. The most annoying quality is pushing subscription based features despite one already owning the premium version.

Had for years, hardly use because it is still buggy. Launch the app without internet just crashes. Routing is interesting; it's favourite trick is to take you off a motorway just to put you back on again! No reason for it either; no traffic, no roadworks, no delays of any kind. Not possible to see the route far enough ahead to ignore it either. It loves sending you down back roads barely wide enough for your car when there is a main road nearby. Junctions where there are none. Disappointing :-(

Very glitchy. About half of the time it calls me via the Bluetooth connection to tell me when to turn. For certain turns the default is this arcade-like view of the turn which hurts more than it helps; rarely happens so when it does it takes a sec to find your bearings. Remembered this being better. I despise Google randomly giving the driver 10 seconds to select 'no' for the alternate/unfamiliar route that will save you 4 minutes on a 3.5 hr drive.. Still searching for an alternative to Google.

Getting worse with each update. I'm getting routes with weird detours that make no sense, 'scenic' routes that I can very well do without... And I'm forever asked to change my 'appearance' and if I want to pay for upgrades... :( I have a lifelong license primarily to have an offline nav, and I'll try this new update (April 2022) but if it's not any better then I'm definitely gone. Waze has a better GUI & it's free, with better alternative route options!! Google Maps works fine too.

Been great for me so far....features i really want to see though are: 1) a little half black/ half white circle icon to switch between day and night modes as day mode comes on way too early (make it easy for US to switch!): 2) autohide the search & lower bars (swipe up to get or a small looking glass icon when in just drive mode), why do all the nav apps not get this point?! Enable fullscreen! Screen room is needed by millions of drivers...so.... These two would make it a 5 star! A no brainer!

Before the last update, everything was good. I always opened this whenever I first started my car. Now, things are terrible, making me suspect they are intentionally implemented some kind of problem to make me to buy a subscription model. If I start the app without WIFI, it does NOT get GPS for 5 to 10 min. And whenever I make a turn, this app does not detect my direction and change my direction (rotate the map) a LOT. Sometimes, even while I drive a straight road, it suddenly turn 180 degrees saying I am moving backward. At first, I thought my GPS antenna was a problem, but GPS info states I have strong GPS signals from more than 10 satellites, and all other navigation apps does not make such a problem. I think I should have never updated the app.

I gave this app a 4-day trial of the premium service using Android auto. This app needs a lot of work at least for use in the USA. For instance distance to turn instructions are way off with units set to Miles/feet. The turn guidance on the map when using Android Auto does not show a complete view of the traffic lanes and what lane to be in. Text to speech and voice instructions are almost comical. Street names are not called out consistently. Sygic has a lot of promise but needs a lot of work.

I have bought this application as a one time purchase several times before on different devices. Now it has switched to a subscription. A subscription is not worthwhile to me. The developer has responded to my review, indicating that the copies of the app I have purchased in the past will still work without a subscription. I appreciate the response. I will say that I have used Sygic extensively in the past on foreign vacation travel, and have always found it to be very useful.

I really like this app but find that I rarely use it. The reason is that I paid for premium which is fine as I get all the latest maps, Android auto etc. My biggest problem with it is that even though I have turned off POI's in the settings they still appear on screen. I use it on Android auto which displays on my car screen. I would probably use it more if I could get rid of the POI's. I have a built in SatNav in my car (Seat Leon) which is okay but is pretty basic.

Mat. M. Apr 29, 2022

It is OK. Since the update to premium some of the features don't work correctly. The map is still out of date even though it has monthly updates, and the app takes me to deep ford's which I am unable to cross with my vehicle. Considering there's a Ford bridge two roads down I think this is an issue. Also incorrect exits on round abouts. It's correct on map, but gives wrong exit via voice. The app doesn't like certain mode settings like Duraspeed and just comes up not responding on Android auto

Jon. B. Apr 16, 2022

The basic free version is actually OK. However I paid for the dashcam addon (which I like; haven't found anything which sits over google maps as well (and starts up reliably) which is the only reason I'm still using Sygic), the heads-up-display (really nice idea of showing the directions "through" the phone using the camera and overlaying the map on the road, let down by the fact that it doesn't really cope with hills so the map overlay often doesn't match the real world) and the cockpit (supposed to show acceleration data etc but never got it to work and can't uninstall it). Now the system keeps trying to sell me a subscription to the realtime speed limit recognition (there is no way to test this without the subscription, and no indication that it can cope with UK motorway speed limit signs) - it does this when I've already started driving which I feel is quite dangerous as well as irritating. It also doesn't do searches as well as google maps does (for instance you can't just search for a business, you need the address or postcode). In some areas (eg between Bristol and Bath) selecting "fastest route" takes you by a lot of single-lane backroads (which might actually be faster if one was insane enough to actually drive at the speed limit, but are otherwise quite a bit slower).

This app is amazing! It does nearly everything I could ask for. My only complaint is that HUD mode navigation is a bit basic, and I would love to have the option of mirroring the normal gps screen for HUD use as well, as it contains a lot more information, and my hardware is a cheap recycled smartphone from 10 years ago, which makes basic navigation even worse in my specific use case. Offline maps are also fantastic, if a few years out of date.

Ric. Y. Apr 14, 2022

This is a decent offline SatNav for the most part but they seem to have taken their eye off the ball as they develop additional services. I used it when touring and following routes that I had mapped out on other software. It worked flawlessly using those routes and the added features like petrol stations on route were great. They've now stopped supporting third party routes because they've made their own which, being kind, is in its infancy. I have a whole raft of historical routes available to me that I now can't utilise. I'm probably going to buy a TomTom or similar now for this years tour which is a real shame.

ant. a. Apr 18, 2022

Many features are included, speed limits, current speed, clean graphics, multi stop trips, up to date road closures and Android Auto integration. I can't recommend it though because when changing lanes on major highways the app often 'thinks' I am in the service road or turning into side street and also often rotates the map while travelling straight ahead. Never had such issues with some popular alternatives.

Gre. S. Mar 21, 2022

I really want to like this, but it has some issues driving me to another solution. First, it often crashes. Second, navigation cues are confusing, often missing exit numbers and showing exits not related to the route. It will also hang at "1 mile" as you approach a route's exit. Third, that latter despite turning that feature off in settings. It's quite half-baked on AA, which is unacceptable for an app that requires a $25/year subscription to be useful.

Bra. K. Mar 22, 2022

I would give this a negative star rating if it were an option. I naïvely paid about $80 for additional "premium" features before using the app in my pickup, just to find it consistently freezes on my Pixel 6 when connected to Android Auto in my F150 (I'm not sure how you can get a more generic combination than Google's native Android phone paired with the most popular pickup in the US, alas, the combination seems to have missed the radar of the quality assurance team). This has happened after clearing app cache, deleting app data, reinstalls, factory resets, and even a new phone (it was doing the same on my old Pixel 4 before upgrading). I reported the problem several months ago; the support has been dreadfully slow and has done nothing other than ask me to repeat the troubleshooting steps on their Web site. Sygic recently released an update which has resulted in more frequent crashes, and the speed indicator, when it tries to work, now chooses two random values -- between which it alternates -- regardless of your speed of travel. I reported these updates and got a reply advising me that they're aware of the problem, and I should expect a fix in a[nother] future update.

Long time user of Sygic with several purchased licenses. The app worked very well until I bought a Samsung S22 Ultra (Note) cell phone. Now, at several magnification levels, flashing colored geometric shapes radiating out from the center that cover up the map make the app very difficult to use. I've tried changing the display resolution and refresh rate, but that didn't help. Using another offline GPS nav app for now, but I am checking each Sygic update to see if it works on the new S22 yet.

Yas. M. May 13, 2022

I already purchased the add ons. The App is very good and performance of the App is improving... Guidance voice is natural and not confusing as other GPS guiding Apps. It is very accurate while no one else is there to help you finding your way. The only missing step for being a perfect App is to make it possible to organize "favorites" feature. Now, for me, Editing the previous rating from one star to five strars, is a must now... Well done 🙂

The app is glitchy while navigating, guidance volume is way too quiet even with phone at full volume, searching for an address is not as simple or easy as Google Maps and overall I found it just frustrating and substandard. Needs to be able to set vehicle type to heavy vehicle and avoid low bridges or Restricted Weight Limit roads.

Min. F. Apr 12, 2022

I updated to latest version and have paid for the premium. I like this app very much cuz I can go in and alter sounds for warnings or change it to a verbal warning. I have it telling me if I'm going too fast, special sound for Speed cameras, and many other things. I give this a five-star review because it is customizable. I haven't used the latest version enough to speak of its accuracy but I am sure it is fine as long as I get all the other customization then I will stay with this app.

And. D. Apr 19, 2022

Downloaded and was happy to pay the premium membership as it looked good on the phone. Unfortunately you can't get it to play sounds when using via Android Auto even when you have paid. TomTom amigo works fine on Android Auto but these guys can't pull it together and blame Google. Cancelled my subscription and uninstalled the app. It's useless if you have a car made in the last few years.
