Be VERY careful booking a hotel. I booked for one night and noticed after booking that the date was incorrect. This happened TWICE. I contacted customer service and they said it was corrected. A while later, I called the hotel to confirm, and they didn't have my reservation and said they were now booked! I contacted CS yet again and was told it could take up to a week for a response. I ended up cancelling and booking elsewhere. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the CS live chat is convenient
Have been waiting for a response on cancelation. I ordered in error. 4x. Wasn't sure about what to do!!! Since 9am I have asked for all 4 orders to be canceled. Please stop sending me ads to buy items until you fix this situation. Thanks
CANNOT DELETE ACCOUNT the app is awful to navigate, the graphic design leaves a lot to be desired, the deals werent too special, and all around i was unhappy with the 10 minutes i had the app. the reason im angry enough to write a review is i CANNOT DELETE MY ACCOUNT. they dont give you the option to delete your account- only Deactivate it, which leaves them with all of your data and your email. the only way to delete is to go in circles with their privacy team. not worth it
I love this app and the deals it offers. But lately, it's irritating me that when I try to look at the attached videos while looking at travel deals, it keeps saying that I need to install YouTube, which I've already had for years. After so many error messages, I finally checked to see if maybe I needed to update my Groupon app. I did, but still getting error messages. Please fix.
I really like using Groupon! You can definitely get many items & gifts for a cheaper price that you normally would pay so much more for going through other retailers or straight from the actual store. Additionally,you can score bigger deals & vacation packages at a steal. If you're looking to save some money this is the site to use! haven't tried Groupon, I highly recommend giving it a tryyou won't regret it!!
False advertising - The app notifications never match the actual deal in app. Constantly have notifications that advertise an extra "30%" off, but in app it's only 20-25%, or better yet, no extra discount at all.
Terrible app. Only option is to chat with a bot and then after thirty minutes you may finally reach a potentially real person and it seems like they're chatting with a hundred people at once so it takes an hour to NOT resolve a simple issue. Haven't used Groupon in years so it seemed like it's on the decline. Wouldn't recommend anymore.
I cannot write a review. I mean I can write it. I can submit it. It shows thank you 👍 the whole but. I have done this five times with nothing showing I did it.. Why? I asked the help center in a live chat. No response. I have just now emailed the help center for my question. Waiting on respond. but in the meantime the poor person needs to have that review stated for her.
This is the 3rd time that groupon has randomly canceled my movie tickets and refunded me. Which would be fine, if they didn't keep the $3 convenience fee. It's not so convenient, when they do that. I'm done with groupon for movie tickets. Hope you enjoy my $3.
The system makes it easy to accidently order multiples I've had it happen multiple times but I caught it --this time I didn't catch it. Customer service refused to help, I contacted them the second it happened and they said it was "final sale". That's fine if it had been for the one order, but not for multiple. And as an expecting parent, I can't be throwing $80 away. Grad school and babies aren't cheap😭
Just know that if you have any coupons in your shopping cart, once you attempt to purchase ONE coupon off Groupon their system will charge you for all the ones in your cart, take the money out of your account within minutes then tell you it will be 10 to 15 days to refund your money. I will never use this app again, it was a horrible experience that cost me $1,400, that I am still waiting to be refunded. Isn't worth the hassle
Can't change city in preferences. If you opt in to emails you can get like four a day! No option for lower frequency. Constant andriod push notifications that abuseively stay in notification bar even after clicking on them. Very abusive app. Surprised Google allows this.
It just doesn't load saying that my internet is not connected. Of course it is and all other apps work fine. So annoying when you have a lot of vouchers bought already and have to try and find a fix. Otherwise I would just remove it.
Keeps saying no data network available when it clearly is, won't load, can't access. I even checked if my network blocked site and added it as trusted site but still won't load, and I have 150mbs speed network available, this is the only app that doesn't work so not my system at fault.
I used to use this more often earlier. Now it seems the map search functionality is removed which makes it harder to search for things nearby. Couldn't find the map button next to search bar in the lastest updates.!
Don't use them it's a scam. I selected a date for a hotel through them for Saturday to Sunday. I get confirmation and then the next day the date was changed from Friday to Saturday. I didn't get refunded my money or the coupon, and terrible customer service. You can't call anyone, only chat via text. Horrible experience and I will never use them again.
Great so far, but I have a request/ suggestion to make your website/ app easier and more enjoyable to use. It is about the saved deals tab as there isn't a way to sort the saved deals that people save, as I have alot of them saved and with I could put them into specific tabs or even sort them by the type of item they are, like clothes, furniture, HealthCare, electronics, etc. I believe adding this option will make the experience more enjoyable. I've used Groupon for numerous fun and necessary services and activities. Especially now with inflation, it's great to get good deals. You can discover businesses that might have been too risky or expensive before but after you get a discount you can find lots of value. Then decide to return with confidence.
I downloaded the app and signed up. Just to be told 2 hours later that I was blocked. For no reason the only thing I tried to buy was an oil change for my car. I messaged with someone over text help desk and was never given a real reason I can't use my Gmail account to sign up for Groupon. It was not a good experience
Nothing better than saving money, am I right?? I enjoy using Groupon for just that. It has broadened our family's options on things to do and places to go and that is why I will continue to use it, and suggest anyone reading my review to do the same, unless...you enjoy overspending 😉
This use to be my go to for everything but no I van access it either via the app, direct on the website or via email. I've had no access for over a year. All I get is a little alien fly saucer saying there is an error and to press cancel or retry. Is it just me or is this a thing now. When will it be fixed
We brought a voucher for meal in restaurant and visited on a weekend. There was a problem with the voucher and unable to claim it. We tried to call Groupon office but it was closed! So we were stuck and the restaurant were not helpful at all and implying we were scammers! We paid with regular credit card and left. Don't think we will buy anymore in a hurry. Also please fix after clicking new deal notifications it won't cleared automatically.
Getting a response from a costumer service representative is a pain in the a**. It's been 3 days since I sent an email to about canceling an order before they ship it and it's impossible to speak with somebody. Worst costumer service.
The app was not working. I could not sign up, or log in with my Gmail account. I was unable to complete a purchase. I got an error message. But customer service got in touch with me and fixed the issue. Thanks 😊
Love Groupon. I've now used it for approx 5 years. It's a great App as long as you are careful as some of the deals aren't cheaper. However, there are some real bargains. Highly recommended.
Occasionally you'll find something you really like but better have gotten all you wanted because by the time it's arrived and you've had time to check it out and realize you want more they're always sold out. And OMG all the fine print! Then the seller ends up a POS OR the deal you pick ends up worthless to you for one reason or another. Getting a worthless deal might happen as often as getting a decent deal if you're not very careful tbh, sadly.
