Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks

I've tried quite a few rpg-like to-do list apps and I must say this one is the only one that I find genuinely enjoyable, and actually kinda feels like a game. You can tell a lot of effort was put into the aesthetic, everything is very easy to access and is pleasing to the eye. Although I think there should be a way to uncheck to-do's. I keep accidentally clicking on them in the widget and remaking them every time is starting to get annoying.

The various methods of task management (habits, dailies, to-dos) and their parameters are excellently designed, as is the UI in general. It's all very easy to set up, and rewarding to use. My biggest gripe is more of a personal preference which many might not share: the RPG-like mechanics of hatching monster eggs, feeding your pets etc can be a bit bothersome (and kinda tacky tbh), and I find they distract too much from the core functionality. Doesn't stop me from using the app though!

I REALLY REALLY LOVE this app! This really keeps me up and running for tasks that I really dislike doing but have to do. Just a little thing to ask? DEVS please! Make an offline mode for this app, and I'm also experiencing a bug where everytime I try arranging tasks manually by row, they teleport to another row... Otherwise everything else is really handy dandy!

I really like the app and I've gotten used to it. I think there is a very large room to grow for this app. It has a good desktop support since it can be opened on a desktop browser but a smartwatch app with Wear OS/Huawei store support would be amazing. It would also be amazing if it could sync with google clock and calender. It would be really nice to be able to export my to-do list and dailies easily. If there is an easy way for this I haven't seen it.

Definitely download! Habitica makes tasks and everyday chores more manageable and increased my motivation, especially studying during lockdown. It's great whether you play games or not. It allows the player to complete the tasks and gain experience for it. The drops and rewards are plentiful even if you don't want to pay. It's more fun to play with friends and this app deserves alot more recognition!

I used it a lot but often switched to Loop Habit Tracker which has progress graphs and calendar (the Habitica stats are only available on desktop via a site called OldGods) but Habitica has "Dailies" which is a great to do list that refreshes every day and has a good widget. But I just ignore the game now. I think the 8-bit art style is just too small to enjoy. Everything is made of just a few pixels.

I really love this app! I found it while looking for something to help me with my New Year's resolutions, and I've been addicted ever since. The idea of gamifying life is absolutely brilliant, and it works! It makes even getting chores done so much more fun, especially when you're questing with new-found friends, to fight bad habits-bosses and maybe win a special pet or mount! I decided to subscribe just as a form of donation really, as the app is free and so worth it! Highly recommended! 10/10

This app is really useful and has definitely helped motivate me to create better habits. The modern design is beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend Habitica for those who want to form good habits, get rid of bad ones, and have fun along the way! Gamifying tasks and habits really works!

I really like this app, it's very fun and helpful. Love that there's no ads. Wish there was a better way to organize tasks, but I think there's mods I can use to do that, I must go find them. The search option is broken but refreshing the app works. And the reminders don't go away if you do the task. But other than minor things. Thank you so much for making this, Habitica team. 10/10 highly recommend.

I enjoy this app it's super neat. However I want my lists organized so I can do the tasks one by one in the order I want. But the lists keep moving my tasks all over the place, when I try to move one up or down I have no idea where it will land. That's a touch frustrating.

i want to use the to-do page, but it feels unsatisfying because the tasks always turn red in a few days, so your to-do page can easily become a wall of red that you don't want to look at. it would be much better if they only turned red when they're past the due date. a fairly small complaint, the app is very good

i love that it's gender neutral, but can u pls add more feminine options ? especially the hair ! (i have pastel pink hair) i love the concept, but i wish there was a version with a bigger focus on the dress up aspect (and prettier options). that would be my ideal app !

Cool app, unique design and style. Good for gamers. However your app doesnt work offline, everytime i turn off internet and open the app to check off dailies it simply crashes and i had to relaunch it again. Also, the entries which i give while offline it doesnt save that when opened online. Please fix. Overall really innovative app.

Good app all round. A few minor issues the notifications and alarms are silent even when my phone is on loud and volume max. The to do tasks could be helpful if they are due that they are put on daily tab. Some organisation with habits daily and to does. Other than that great app really useful good that you can many task, habits and dailies. The adventure with your little character looks promising.

In the setting you can choose the audio theme but there 's not even a single sound in the app. But this app is amazing. It's like i'm playing Neopets but for serious things. I really love the concept and I love to talk to people in the chat. They really helping me trough my hard time. I never expected that this will generally make me happy.

The core task management part of the app has all of the bells and whistles that you would expect, but it feels like it somewhat lacks polish and everything feels a bit rigid. It was never made clear how to access the gamified content that Habitica has, such as fights, which made me lose interest quite quickly. Overall, this app just doesn't do it for me unfortunately.

Just fell in love with the concept of the app..It's like they gamified the plain simple habits app.Makes it more easier to use!(the graphics of the character could be more improved too+there should an option once an activity in dailies/weekly gets completed it could vanish) it'll be less chaotic&more organized and reappear once again in dailies the next day

I hope you don't ignore this feedback The concept of the app is great but it lacks a lot of things 1. I wanted to see my streaks in my habit and my daillies can you please add a graph of productivity and a callendar that checks whenever I've done my daily 2. Can you add dalliy or nightly feedback journal Please don't make it a premium version though I'm fine with ads

*Edit - 2 months on and still loving the app and using it every single day without fail! Loving the drops and how much equipment you can get. Being part of a team has made me feel less socially isolated and valued too! Can't praise this app enough! Original review: Fantastic app that makes the daunting and the dreary more achievable and - dare I say it - even enjoyable! This past week has been the most motivated one I've had in a while and I have Habitica and its community to thank!

This app has helped me SO MUCH!! I have mental illness and chronic pain which makes it difficult for me to function at times; this app helps me keep organized and accountable. Plus it turns your chores into a game with rewards. I'm very pleased with this app. Also happy they don't show ads or try and force you to spend real money. I hope this app lasts forever!

I wish there was slightly better navigation, like a jump to home button that takes you back a screen that shows your stats and dailies, or I mostly wish that your dailies bar on the bottom followed you from screen to screen because it's hard to navigate back to.

This was the exact app I was looking for. I was actually thinking of creating my own until I saw this. No need spending hours on coding now. 😆. Loving the SNES RPG style characters. Best part is that there are no ads (that I've seen so far). I feel like the engineers really took their time designing this app to help others. Impressive enough for me to write my first review ever (I think) in the Google Play Store. Keep it up. Coders ftw 👍🏼.

Okay I usually don't leave reviews but first, this is already amazing. I just started character customization and they let you pick out a wheelchair! Most other games would never include this.. this means alot so I can make my character look like me. It is also fun that I get to have "pets" while I make sure I'm doing what I actually need to do in real life.

I literally can't get past the login/sign up page. I have tried all three ways of signing up but the app does nothing. I tried deleting cache, deleting data and even uninstalled and reinstalled but it still doesn't work.
