This app is easy to use and very interactive. I have been using it to apply for jobs to finance my education in US. awesome app
where Craigslist has failed me, handshake has not. there are also more job opportunities here that promote my growth and advancement not just grunt work like on Craigslist or customer service / impossible high end jobs like indeed.
Most links don't work. When I expand a message it condenses back down in 5 seconds. To top it off, the home screen stopped working and messages stopped being sent. Use the desktop app
very convenient and provides great insights on how to fine tune your career options.
For some unknown reason I can't pick any colleges outside of Europe, my American university has a handshake set up I got the app to make the whole process easier to navigate but quite clearly that's impossible with such an awful bug.
Great app, helps students find jobs. I like it a lot. thank you
Handshake is helpful finding relevant jobs to apply to.
App works well. I feel like I have the same capabilities on phone as if I were at my desktop.
Doesn't work effectively. I clicked add experience and added lots of experience. Anytime I added a new one, the last one disappeared. I was also being asked questions to personalize my feed and the app unexpectedly closed and I was unable to finish answering the questions, therefore, my feed is not personalized. Very useless and a waste of time.
Good app, shows jobs in my area and much further, even when you enter in your mile range you'd like to stay within. Making things a little easier to navigate would be nice, such as being taken straight to the job post when I receive the "new job listing" update in my email. Instead, I have to go searching for it on my own and I don't always find it. Otherwise it's a good and helpful app.
I couldn't create a less intuitive, user-friendly UI if I tried. Pop-ups whenever you click a new tab, can't copy paste despite some listings asking you to visit external websites, the keyboard lags when you type in the search bar. An embarrassing effort really, just use the website (that is if they let you, sometimes the website detects you are on a phone and literally hijacks your ability to use the website insisting that the app needs to be downloaded)
When I click on email links, the app opens first in my browser with a big overlay that gives me a button to open in the app. I can't view any of the information in the browser because of that. Upon clicking to open the information in the app, it opens handshake on a default start page and does not take me to the relevant information from the link.
UI looks good, and the service is helpful but other parts stink. It doesn't give helpful notifications. The most I see is apply to jobs expiring soon, but it doesn't mention which jobs those are nor how long. And when you check in the app, theres no easy way to see the date without clicking on the job. The most frustrating thing is not seeing jobs I've liked. Might've missed it, but I've looked. Only feeds like jobs in research or finance, not one of the actual jobs I've said I'm interested in.
Has bugs. Please fix it. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still has bugs.
The app is good but the web version can do more things(update documents, etc.)
Navigation is so boring and everytime I have to start searching from the beginning. You should allow for return button especially when searching for companies for an event. I turn back and I have to start searching all over again instead of where I stopped. Not sure how to explain but hoping you got what I meant.
Simple yet frustrating, apply to positions are quick and oftentimes painless. However, the job boards aren't updated so many of the opportunities have either already been filled or aren't being considered anymore. Having a large number of applications accidently go through for a position that's been filled already isn't just a waste of time but also a bit embarrassing.
They removed the option to mark not interested so I get the same unpaid internship spam over and over.
Good, but interface stutters while scrolling down.
This app is more difficult to use than the website, and the website doesn't really work either. I've been using both for 3 years now, without a single token of success to show for it.
basically functional, but missing so many features that the mobile site is probably more useful. no ability to sort favorite jobs, no way to look specifically at events you are registered for, cant see what jobs have quick apply until you click through to the description, among other missing quality of life features.
Missing intuitive basic functionality No landscape view for tablets No intuitive way to delete messages Filter to filter out remote sessions does not work. Glad this beta went live. And I still feel the same way.
great place for jobs and internships
Most of the recruiters out there are bots. They send you automated messages and pretend to have read your resume, and don't respond to your messages back. It is very difficult to report an agency, and the one time I did nothing was resolved. There is no way to block people on this app, so I am getting spammed from 'recruiters' for jobs I am not interested in. The only reason I got this app in the first place was because my college's career services recommended it...
