The new update is awful. It's like 5 giant steps backward. Feels like a UI from the early 2000s. Awful looking. Not convenient to use. Did you test this with actual customers before the change? It's really awful. I'd rather drive 2 miles to the store and get a paper flyer than than look through the app now.
The "new shopping experience" is SO SO SO AWFUL. You can't look at specials and add items to an online cart simultaneously, the filter functions are SERIOUSLY lacking. EVERY time you search you have to adjust the filter to "pick up." The option to view nutrition info is gone. The old app was SO MUCH BETTER. I used Harris Teeter despite their higher prices bc the app was so much easier for pick up. If this is the "new shopping experience" for pick up orders, I'm better off with Food Lion.
This was an awesome app until now. A couple bugs now and then but overall easy to use. Now the app just forces you to a website which is clunky with large graphics that take forever to scroll through yet doesn't have any useful information on items, my purchase history is gone so no easy reordering, you can no longer filter by discounted or sale items, shopping specials only lets you add it to a list, not your cart, trying to put items in my cart from my list somehow sent me to a Kroger website.
New App...tons of bugs and loss of function. The list cannot be moved to the cart. You cannot easily shop from a combined list of purchases. Items disappear from cart during shopping. No shopping directly from circular. You have to log all the way in through multiple windows to get to pickup link (no longer sent in a text). Why break a functioning product?
Down grading, April 2022, since the app removed the "lists" feature -- for "months" they say. They say in the mean time I could use their web page, but going there they say that store has not yet migrated to the new "experience". No "lists" there either. Doesn't appear to be professionally developed. This is in addition to many bugs and quirks I had learned to live with -- but to completely remove a feature is shoddy work.
The app doesn't do anything now. I want to make a shopping list, it wasn't great on the previous version but it was okay. Now, it's gone completely. Only option is to order for shopping service. It seems like they don't want me in the store. So, to Giant I go. I can make a list and check out as I shop there. I get the items I want and it's easy. Too bad, I like my local HT stores but district management is making it difficult to shop there (not to mention getting run into staff shoppers)
the new app is extraordinarily bad. the best functionality from the old one is now gone. everything is hard to find and when you look at your specials all you can do it add them to some mysterious list now instead of adding to your cart. finding how to shop is also hard. you can look at specials but again only add to list, not to cart. no longer can you leave a note for your shopper either. the very best part of Harris teeter was the service and it just went the way of the dodo.
If you don't spell things exactly you won't find what you want. Terrible at cross referencing. Please get rid of the update button when you add multiple of the same item, really irritating to miss that extra step and not get the items you need. I used to be able to update my order. There is no option to do that. Would also be helpful to be able to send a message to the shopper about my order.
App no longer works. Redirects me to webpage, offering a new shopping experience, have to keep signing in, picking my store, offers pickup or delivery. Doesn't seem to want to accept in store shopping. It's a mess, was never a great app but was functional. Just a mess now. Will check to see if fixed, otherwise just delete.
The recent change to the app for grocery orders is horrendous. You can only see 1 item at a time, taking much longer to shop, if I search for something it will only let me add it to my list not my cart. It is incredibly difficult to navigate. I will do my large grocery orders elsewhere from now on.
Your app and website updates are horrible. What's the point of the app if I can't see my shipping list. It's says "will be integrated in the next few months." It was already there! Your website is now very confusing. If I wanted to see the actual flyer I'd pick one up in the store. I want to access it with as few clicks as possible.
This app has always been pretty bad, I pretty much only used it to price check when planning my shopping for the week. Now its literally useless! As other reviews have stated it redirects you to their "new and improved website" when you click on something or search for an item, and then the website cant even load your search results.
The HT app used to work reasonably well. Now, it continuously demands fresh login. Also, there is no way to access the weekly sale items without scrolling one by one, then scrolling back to the top of that list to proceed to the next department. Not sure if I have ever tried to use an app that was this close to useless.
The pharmacy integration is terrible. Cannot include prescription pickup with a grocery order. May 9, 2022 update. App now redirects to HT website. A worse experience. Like others have said, no lists. This is a big step backwards, HT/Kroger. Previously, the app worked well, except for pharmacy. Now it doesn't work at all. May try Lowes Foods, since it's just as convenient for shopping.
App used to work pretty well, but now it's useless. It now starts with selecting a store, Shop Our New Experience, and Order Ahead. When I select either option after I select a store, it takes me to the website. I cannot login, save eVic coupons, or create a shopping list on the app like before. Please fix this!!!!
This use to be a 5 star app until the recent update and reorganization of the website. Now, everything is horrible. You have to log into the site everytime you open the app and the old features are clearly missing. Need to go back to the classic look because better is not ways best!
The new app blows! 2 months ago I rated it 5 stars but then they "updated" the app and it's been downhill. The employees say it's so much easier on their end which is good, but it shouldn't be worse on the customers end. Just look at all the bad recent reviews! You can no longer see past orders, the app now just opens a tab in your internet browser to shop instead of working through the actual app, you have to re-login every time you want to place an order, I could go on and on. I miss publix.
Orders are routinely incorrect. For example, items will often reset to one item so I will add five potatoes and get one. I assume this happens when the app freezes, which it does frequently. Unfortunately, the browser version isn't much better. Switching between the browser and mobile app has resulted in my order being routed to a different location twice. I'm switching to Wegmans because of these issues.
Uninstalled.... Since the May 5th update The only list is the shopping list which is not in the app. If I wanted to use a web page to make a list I would not install the app. The update in May 2022 has apparently eliminated the custom list I used to shop. I liked the ability to have a list of items I could check off as I shopped and I could add to or edit before I went to the store.
Latest update is horrible and made having an app pointless. It takes you to the website where the cart feature no longer sorts by aisle and neither does the list. I loved that about old version. Why is this update so user unfriendly? It's awful. I was traveling a half hour to shop here but will not do so anymore. Ridiculous, poor redesign
What did you do to my app? It is completely worthless. I lost my fuel points and can no longer see past purchases. We used to be able to just scan in items as we needed them and then decide what to do with cart (expresslane or in store shopping). Fix it or watch me go to another place for my groceries!!!
I liked the app before these major updates. At least I could actually use the app. Now when I use the app, it just redirects me to their website. What's the point of the app, if it's just redirecting to your website. Don't download, not worth it. Unless you just want to add an additional step to getting to their website.
This was just rendered useless. No more lists (only feature I used) and the lists in the website it now links to are awful to use. No longer able to easily add items to different lists, for starters.
Can no longer use the app to look at the weekly ad or do anything. It immediately, despite the fact that I am not shopping, takes me to a website. If we are no longer going to be able to use the app then get rid of it. Don't let people think they can still use it and then force someone to choose a store and go online. I have had my store chosen for a long time and now I had to choose again. I probably ended up signed out if this is what happened.
Not user friendly at all. I could navigate the old app a little, but the new one is very hard to navigate. Hard to go from one thing to another. All I want to get to is my specials and shopping list.
Was a good app to search for in stock and prices of various products. Now, after the update, it goes straight to ordering for special occasions from deli and bakery. No longer has an option to search for items in store to check prices. Can't back out of the option for special occasions.
The new update no longer makes the app user friendly or have a purpose other than ordering pizza and subs. I strongly dislike the website experience and it makes it difficult to create lists for shopping. I believe you took two steps back in creating a better process for users. As someone who creates list to shop in a disciplined manner, I have honestly not shopped at your store since your update. Please fix the app and go back to making it user friendly.
Well, this apps doesn't function like an app. It keeps asking me the same questions everything I open it. I want to order my groceries as I think of what I need. Not all at one time, it's aggravating. Unless they fix it I won't to using Harris Teeter for pickup or delivery.
Wish I could back to the old app! The new app is not user friendly. You can not add weekly specials to your cart, only to a list... makes no sense please HT fix this. Seriously thinking of switching grocery stores, because of this. So awful 😖
They changed the app a couple of months ago and it redirects you to a web page. Why have an app when all it does is open their web? After opening the web page they force you into an online order. It takes me many tries to get where I want to go so the navigation is just horrible. I can no longer access my VIC card from the website for scanning. So now I need to make sure I carry my card all the time. This app forced us back 10 years or more in technology. Bring back the old app!
