Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

One issue I'm experiencing right now is when the game is open and my phone is idle. The app will be open, my screen will go into idle, I'll unlock my phone to continue playing but the app is then just a black screen. I've tried waiting to see if it will load - nothing. I tried closing and opening the app and leaving it again to see if the same thing would happen - it did. I can't make progress and it doesn't save so I have to repeat large sections over and over if my screen goes idle... fix it.

I think this game is really fun! It is sometimes a little glitchy but that's it. I've recently switched to a new phone and I wasn't able to save any progress when switching phones I'm very disappointed I was on year three (and it takes so long to get there) I do wish there was a way to save progress when deleting the app or in my case switching phones. That is the reason I won't be rating it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review I really hope this problem can be solved!

very glitchy, doesn't save your progress well. multiple "connection errors" that don't ever reconnect so you have to force close the app then restart it to resume play, very annoying. graphics are meh reminds me very much of the old Harry Potter game I believe I used to play on GameCube?? lmao. would be more enjoyable when it's less buggy and glitchy needs serious updates.

I would honestly love this game if I could just play it. I literally couldn't even get through the little video at the beginning without it crashing twice. Building my avatar literally took an hour and ten minutes (I timed it because I saw the reviews) because it crashes every few seconds. Everything past that was just CRASHING CRASHING CRASHING. Fix this, and I'll play it again 🤷‍♀️

Crashes, crashes, and more crashes. It took 6-7 times just to get an avatar to save. Now, I can't start the first year. I have gone through that conversation with Rowan a dozen times. Then I try to move on and start the actual game, just to have it freeze and drop to my phone screen. All frustration, no fun. And it is a huge game, taking about a gig of space. This makes the instability pretty much unforgiveable. I'd love to play it, but it just does not work.

Game is pretty fun and immersive. It's great to make your own character etc. One thing I find really tiresome is that constant test which you have to go through to fit the moving circle into the centre circle. I just had to do that 4 times in one class. Very unnecessary and repetitive and not easy to get right. I wish they would remove this feature. Also far too much money making attempts (pets, clothing etc) in this game for what's meant to be aimed at children.

The game itself if fun, I have spent a decent amount of time on it. I dislike the time gating, it's a little tedious. Some bugs that I have ran into is poor performance in certain areas and the "watch add" options don't work. For example, to pass time on quests, I personally don't have the ability to watch an ad to shave off 20 minutes. It won't let me select it

I want it to work. But LAG. A week ago it was virtually unplayable, but they "fixed" it and for the inconvenience gave me 50 extra energy. But it still lags enough to make game play difficult. In some ways I can deal with it, but in cases where you have to tap the screen at the right time, it's a 85% chance of a fail. You have to time it to account for the lag! So if you do have a device that can load all the polygons in the castle at once, I would definitely recommend. No lag = at least 4 stars

Kind of addictive, and enjoyable game. There are a few bugs here and there but the support team does try to help. I was looking for a game that wasn't farming or 'merging' or candy crush and it isn't that so that's good! it is a bit frustrating to play sometimes because everything you do consumes a lot of 'energy' and it is slow to build back up which does make it hard and slow to play for free. Only play this if you have patience! (Or lots of money I suppose)

It's a good game, but it's just TOO long of a wait time between tasks. To have to wait an hour and half for chapters to open and the tasks themselves uses up all of your 25hp (if you get more hp later on as you upgrade, maybe it's better, but to build up from the beginning it's far too slow) and then it's a 4 minute wait for just 1 hp, so another hour and a half for full energy... It's just boring. It makes it hard for me to want to come back to play to have such a short burst of fun..

I've been obsessed with this game for the last month or so, but I've noticed sometimes it freezes, which to me it's a mild nuisance. However, when I get out of the game to live my life and go back in, my progress in a current project/storyline/class has been basically reset and I have to restart the activity. It's frustrating because by then I have already waited for my energy to replenish and it puts me behind. I made sure my version is the most updated version.

This game normally provides a 3.75 star experience. Unfortunately it will often freeze when you get the final star in an activity. You can't exit right away or it won't record your status. You have to let the game exit on its own in the background to continue. Otherwise it's a fun game once you get past the energy and timed waits. They also need to fix the events from constantly popping up every time you are in the game, especially when you've finished them.

This app is broken beyond repair. They even said the app is fixed now, but it lags, freezes, and crashes even more than it ever did before which is really saying something. I did a 1 hour task with 30+ energy and the app was so slow that I couldn't complete the task despite being constantly attentive. Let that sink in. The app can't register 30 taps an hour! On top of all of that, the devs try to gaslight the users saying all the problems are on our end. Such trash. Unbelievable.

Horribly broken game. It worked for a little while and I'm in mid-year2 now, crashes constantly and makes me lose quite a bit of progress each time. When I exit the game and come back (as one does on a phone) I lose progress almost every time. It's not too bad a story but if you install it DO NOT SPEND MONEY because it will be a waste when your game starts crashing and deleting progress further into the story.

The last time I played this game it was AMAZING. Like there was no complaint whatsoever, but no it's just horrible. 1° It takes so long just to get into the game itself because I could just be there 10mins waiting for it to finish loading 2° It glitches so I can't even tell what I'm putting on my avatar 3° After I finish talking with Rowon and click the button that allows me to the next part, it takes so long to load and then it say retry. Then when I try to play again, it just takes me back

The game itself is fun, when it wants to cooperate! Since downloading, I've had many issues with things not loading or the game not rewarding me for things I've done. I saved one person from ice, started to save another, but ran out of energy. I left the game to give energy time to replenish, and by the time it replenished it had moved me back to the previous person I had already saved! This isn't okay considering I've already spent money on this game!

It's now crashing every single time I try to do /anything/. Like I literally cannot play the game, it loads up and then as soon as I try to play it, it's crashed and shut down. When I said it was nearly unplayable in my last review, it wasn't a challenge to make it worse. And yes, I've already done basic troubleshooting. This app is just hot garbage.

This game is fun but because I am giving it only 2 stars is because it always stops me in the middle of the game every 5 minutes and says, connection error or something. It makes me reload and it always does not work if you press reload or try again, no matter how many times I press it, it WILL NOT LOAD!!!!!! This is the reason I give it 2 stars. If you have that kind of patience to deal with that (I do not) then load it, sure. But it is not worth it otherwise.

I love this game! I'm only taking off two stars because very often when I exit the app to wait for my energy to refill, I'll come back on and my progress has gone backwards, for example if I have 4/5 stars finished, it will go back to 2/5 stars finished or something.. which is very frustrating when you're waiting for your energy to refill so you can finish. But overall it's a fun game

Well it was fun for a while but isn't right now. I was fine getting past the glitch of whenever the screen falls asleep, just going out to where it shows all open apps and clicking it again. However, as of the last few days I can't get in the game at all. It continues to say there "Isn't enough space" when I have 60 gigs free.

As time has gone on, glitches have been appearing more often. In retrospect I'd have much rather paid for a complete game. The story is really good although there are some big gaps where some rather annoying mini games seem to take the place of story updates, but really looking forward to taking my NEWTS this year and finding out the outcome of the story as a whole. Recent glitches have been corrected but there seemed to be quite a wait for this to happen. UPDATE My games now freezes totally.

Uninstalling after less than 10 minutes! I read other reviews after I installed and saw internet connectivity was a common issue throughout. Despite this, I tried playing to give the game a fair shot. Within moments of picking my avatar it kept saying I wasn't connected. I still tried and made it to the bookstore. After leaving the bookstore, it again had connection issues. Great game idea... VER POORLY executed! Work the bugs out... obviously they're on your end!

So tired of it resetting my progress. I'll turn my phone screen off or go to q different app while I'm waiting for energy to regenerate (which takes way too long) and then I come back later and it resets four stars of progress to less than one when I'm so close to completing the eight hour task. By that point it's not recoverable and I have to do that task all over again. Sometimes clicking on energy spots doesn't work and it adds no energy but that of course doesn't reset like my progress.
