App feels like it's not finished. Some buttons do nothing. Tried to download boarding pass and nothing happened. Also I couldn't login in the app but I can login in browser. I read other review feedback that some characters don't work in passwords in the app so you need to change your password if you want to use the app!!! Not fun on the way to the airport!!!
When you purchase your tickets, Hawaiian advertises "No change fees. Book now, change if you need to without a fee." They ALWAYS charge a fee. I have changed flights and had to pay a fee each time. Even the ticket price is the same for the flights. They justify this by using the price of the ticket when purchased. So, essentially you are not allowed this so called guarantee if you purchase early.
Entertainment mode doesn't work. I installed this app to watch movies and TV on a Hawaiian airline app on a tablet and on a phone, both Android. Both it for not work, i can browse the catalog and watch trailers and can not watch anything. The error was unable to play, please update the app. Unfortunately the app was just in installed prior to the flight so there were no updates.
the apps been pretty hit or miss. takes a lot of work to get in since it's wonky. doesn't help when you need to access right away. If not, you're left trouble shooting on your own. uninstall, reinstall, restart phone, etc.
Hawaiian Airlines has the WORST mobile and online technology. I only fky their airlines when there is no choice because everything about my booking and checking in experience is archaic. it's just dumb that I log into their app and still need a confirmation number to find booked flights Canceled their credit card for the same reason.
This is the slowest and most useless app on the planet! Hawaiian Aiines is the worst airline on the planet. Frequent time-out issues, login problems, can't make changes to existing reservations, can't view your rewards account, etc. Amazing this airline is still in business with an archaic app like this. So many delays, old broken down planes, what an embarrassment.
Usually works fine, but definitely has a few quirks. I do almost all of my traveling with Hawaiian and use their app frequently. Screenshot your boarding pass or save it to your phone another way prior to traveling in order to not need to depend on the app at the airport as there are times when it is difficult to get it to load when needed quickly.
Couldn't log in for weeks on my phone. When I finally did, can't pull up any flight or trip information. When I logged in with the browser on my phone, I can't access any data. No apparent problems on my PC. Follow-up on 2/11: update installed, still cannot log in with the app using either username or Hawaiianmiles #. No issues with the browser on the phone or PC. App error message: "Can't seem to find that account. Please try again".
Get it together!! I tried to upgrade my seats last week and went through ALL of the steps to include all of my info, cc, etc. Only to have it say "something went wrong". I have now tried about 12 times today for my flight home and am still getting the "something went wrong". My friend tried on her phone and got the same thing. Come on.
Crashes more then before..nearly constantly. Not stable on my Android. Junk. I took from 3 stars to 1. I don't want to hear you are sorry for my experience. Just fix the damn app. I am a Pualani member. This app in current state is unacceptable.
Like many other reviewers, after I installed this app I am unable to log into it. I've deleted it and reinstalled it twice but no success. I tried changing my password on HAL's website, and also totally signing out and signing back in, but it didn't work either. Finally figured out that the app does not like special characters in its password. Only use letters and numbers. Have not used the app yet, but at least I can log into it now.
Tried to check in with computer, kept getting session ended. Gave the option to continue, but wouldn't, was stuck in a loop. Had to download to phone and check in.
What happened to this app! Used to work now it's completely broken. Can't even bring up a boarding pass let alone check-in. Please fix.
I cannot check in on the app. I am on WiFi. The error message does not give any explanation as to why I cannot check in. So frustrating.
It was working fine, but changed my phone and couldn't log in. Changed my password and could log in on line, but still can't log in to the app. Reinstalled app. Still can't log in. Very frustrating m
App is very helpful to view n edit things. also you are able to check in on the app as well as request a seat up grade if available. that's if u are a puulani member. p ly down fall is app has glitches n crashes every so often..
App doesn't work. It wouldn't recognize my username/ Hawaiian # it password. If i want to reset, it takes you to the browser to reset. Once i did that, the browser would let me get into my account. But when i went back to the app, it doesn't recognizes it. Even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. What's the point?
App is currently not working and it hasn't worked in at least several weeks. The "Something Went Wrong" message continues to show up when the app is opened and when I try to check in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and I continue you get the same error. Please fix this issue!
I only be able to look my boarding pass, if i type the confirmation number, it won't let me log in with my current information on the browser.
consistently unable to check in. app encounters errors. EDIT: Reinstalling the app and clearing the app cache helped correct whatever issue I was having. Otherwise I just check in on the website

It was working fine on the 22nd and then the update pushed through and now it doesn't stream anything. The app just closes down.
Poorly designed app for international traveler. Absolutely ask for a US states to pay for bags (we're Canadian!). Unable to get boarding pass.
I downloaded the latest version of the app before my flight. I went to watch a movie on the flight and it told me to update to the latest app. Huh? The music section worked. Made for a long and boring flight.
Login works after resetting my password to one that didn't start with a special character. Odd to have different behavior between web and app like that.
Best Airline ever! Treat people amazingly, not any more expensive than other major airline, and a great experience overall.
website is inoperable a lot. could not use it on the trip here. constantly having to call cs to get something done an having to wait over 30 minutes to get someone
The page to enter my payment info was annoying. The page didn't scroll up as I entered into so I had to keep minimizing my keyboard to get to the next section.
This app does not work for accessing anything related to your HAL account. Including, your travel information or requirements. HAL will tell you to delete and uninstall app and reinstall app... IT WILL NOT WORK. Even downloading it and installing it using your home wifi will not fix this app. I can login to the website, but can not login to the mobile app. Not good.
Its really unfortunate...the app is horrible to use, but you kind of have to use it. It doesn't remember your flights, so you have to remember your confirmation code, constant "Something went wrong" error on opening. Bad navigation have to login in multiple places while already logged in. Really frustrating app....but unfortunately to be electronic we are stuck with this...sad... Ohh the ads work every time though!! You don't have to worry about that....LOL!
