Very good app. I've used it once so far and was impressed. I am using this app with an older Canon 5d MK2. I could not get it to work at first. Firstly I needed to use an OTG cable as mentioned on their website. My camera was not brand new so it did not come with one, so I had to purchase a solid OTG cable. Secondly, I needed to turn on the usb debugging function located within the developer options on my phone. Thirdly, I have an option that says "Reverse charge and OTG" under settings which is off by default. Once turned on, the app worked. The only thing is, I am not sure that I can record directly to the mini sd card within the phone???

Once the camera connects (6d), the interface becomes incredibly slow and laggy. I do not have the same issues with DSLR controller. I even removed DSLR controller from my phone to see if that was the issue: it wasn't. I tried everything I could think of (it's not the cable), but it still doesn't work right. I'll update this review if you fix it, but as a paying customer, I'm pretty ticked at the moment. DSLR controller hasn't been updated in 3 years and it works better than this does.

Poor interface design. Need to be able to quickly see all the images I just shot in full screen, not just the last one. There's image browser, but you have to leave preview mode to go there and it shows oldest images first. No sort option. Make scrollable thumbnails at the top when reviewing images I just shot so I can quickly compare previous shots. until then, not buying.

Paid for most expensive version but sign in doesn't work. Though the software didn't warn, I figured out too disconnect the camera and reconnect Wi-Fi, which didn't enable registration anyway. Before I clicked anything, the app took control of the 6D, which entered an unresponsive state, which powering off did not affect. The camera started getting hot before the mystery process stopped. So far so good!

I've tried many, many apps and devices for remote camera functions. None are perfect, but this is the best I've tried so far. I'm using it over Wifi with a Canon 5dmiv, and it connects and performs very well. This is a pretty deep app, so it requires some time to understand and appreciate all the functions. I use it for macro focus stacking, and it's such a help. I just purchased the paid version to gain RAW image support. Highly recommended.

Could not get it to work with my Nikon D7200. Update to your question. Sorry to add - I used wifi. Enabled the D7200 wifi, connected the Android phone - Moto G6 to the D7200 and the app does not recognize the camera automatically. could not find guide to what may be wrong or why. OK - switched to my Samsung Tab 2 and tried again. It was only after I tried to add an network camera (ip of the Nikon D7200) that it would show up as a choice along with the network camera. . Once it did - it controls the camera nicely. Now to see if focus stacking works. Focus stacking works like a charm. I was using a Nikon macro 105mm with 36mm Kenko extension tube and it figured out the DOF and number of steps. Resulting images processed nicely in Affinity Photo. I upped my rating to 4 stars - just need to make the wifi connection aspect of this app a bit more intuitive and easier. I was just lucky to try the network camera route, then both showed up. Next step is using a WU-1b on my Nikon D600 with the Nikon 70-180mm zoom macro lens that I use a lot. I just ordered the wifi adapter for it. I will update then. Thanks for the quick responses and help.

Extremely disappointed. I cannot even add my camera (Nikon D750) with free version over the wifi connection. The online help feature are absolutely worthless. For connecting a camera with built in wifi unit in the online guide the ladt step is "select a camera" while I can never detect where is this option. *** thank you very much. Got it now

Very disappointing. I simply wanted a remote shutter, but by the time you've finished arguing with the software, the photo is gone. Auto focus and take photo should be on the same button, not in two completely different windows. It's awkward and just doesn't work. The software is also really glitchy.

This app is intended for focus stacking purposes. For that, it is amazing! Never thought to use it simply for remote control. Need additional programs on the desktop to properly reassemble the images into a single stack, e.g. Helicon Focus. Awesome pair of apps for photographers.

Works great with my D610. I use it for remote live view for Astrophotography with an LG G Pad Android Tab and USB OTG. Manual focusing with live view on the D610 fixed screen is a PITA if on a tripod at low level. I just run a cable to the tab and problem solved. Wouldnt connect initially because I had the wrong settings for USB connection on the GPad but works just fine now

The app installed, I tried to connect my dslr nikon d3300 but it is showing camera not connected Tried on Huawei and Samsung mobile. Can someone please let me know what else I have to take care here. Verified all the cables and connectors are working As I was able to browse camera photos with stock app of Android Thanks

Will there be added features when shooting video, im not able to control the exposure when ahooting video. It does expose properly when taking photos but shooting videos you will need to adjust the setting in the camera itself meaning you will nees to take off the connection to preview the exposure.

the only one with a working time-lapse. Had trouble with the live view, but that's not really important, for that the main canon app works. All i cared was the timelapse and that does it good, so i'm satisfied.

Well, my Canon M100 is not on this app's compatability list. The list appears to be accurate in this regard. When connecting my M100 the app shows a message that the camera is not supported. So, this app will now be uninstalled.

So far I've tried this with two android devices, a Pixel 3 and a Samsung Active Pro tablet, it hasn't worked reliably with either of them when connected via USB but works much better when using wireless. Needs a new UI though!

Basically nothing works well. You guys should invest some time and money to make a decent app not only having one. We paid good money and for what? The app si slow(extremely slow) and doesn't do anything is promised. Hard to connect etc. I regret buying your services. The first and the last time.

It used to work well with my old LG G4. Tried connect it to my Samsung Note9 (USB3) and nothing happens. It can't connect to Canon 5DIII thru OTG cable. Is the OTG cable gone bad? Are there other options to get connected? Edit...Got me a new otg usb c3.1 to usb 3.0 type A cable. The app seems to have found the camera but refused to give me liveview. Btw, it is so slow with all the other menus its not useable. But everything work s with Camera Connect and Control (Trial version).

Pre. H. May 22, 2020

My Nikon D90 wasn't connecting and the developer instantly guided me to the issue. Now the app is working, although it hanged and crashed. So instead of 1 star improved to 4 star, will give final review after using for few days.

Good guys who put customer service first. I was a beta tester with my Nikon Z6ii and found a small problem with the beta version. The guys done there best to fix it out but as they couldn't fix it right away they refunded me in full. Looking forward to seeing the updates.

Jua. T. May 4, 2020

Sorry guys, i misused the app at the beginning. So here are my views: Very powerful app and very reponsive and friendly team! I've been trying this app since a week now on my S7 edge with my old Nikon N90 and it works fine. You are doing A GREAT JOB!! It's the best free app according to me and you deserve all the very best wishes. KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB. Cheers!

Extremely unresponsive. Took several connect and disconnect to get the camera connection. Went to settings but gave up after pressing several times just to get it to respond. I gave up and unininstalled.

Arp. s. Nov 10, 2019

This AMAZING app stopped working after my phone updated to android pie. Please update PIE support. Edit: After updating, 1st time camera got connected briefly, live view didn't got enabled. Next time onwards it shows 'Camera not connected' while my canon 700D is up and running.

Aad. G. Aug 20, 2020

The guys doesn't know what's mean of remote. We have to connected with cable to the camera to manage. Without connect phone with cable to camera it doesn't work. Stupid developer describe as remote...

ank. p. Oct 7, 2020

Amazing......... thanks to the developer, it works perfectly as described, in my D5200. With this app you can make your camera to touch screen display in larger size. It has so many functions which camera don't have. I love this app. I recommend to all.

A. G. u. Oct 11, 2018

Failed to connect with camera about 7 out of 10 times. Shut down for no reason on more than 1 ocasion. And the LAST 2 times I used it about 90% of the time lapse sequence was gone from the card(not the same one) can not trust it to preform at all.

And. B. Jul 9, 2020

The app connects to the camera, both canon 5D mark ii and mark iii, however i am unable to fire a burst with the mark iii, either high speed or slow speed bursts. My tablet is a tesco hudl2 and also a Samsung Galaxy Tab A and while other functions work as expected, that key one on the mk3 does not. Any ideas??

A useless app. Doesn't detect my Nikon d7200. The interface is cumbersome. Update: I am using an OTG cable and a phone that supports OTG. My phone detects the camera just fine but not this app. I have adobe lightroom installed which perfectly tethers with my camera and qdslrdashboard also detects it. Just not this app.
