Update on 18 May 2022: what happened to all of my folders of data that was stored on this app?? I opened it today to save some files and it opened like it was a brand new app. I had multiple folders in this app and it's like all those files have been deleted. I had to create new folders to save data. I really need some answers and guidance from the development team, please and thank you.
It does what it says but couldn't you make the calculator front-end look a little more convincing? Unassuming is fine but it doesn't even have a decimal function. The solid blue background doesn't do any favors either. I know it isn't the primary function but it can't be that hard to make it more convincing, right? Update: Thank you for the response. The calculator part is really my only critique, the app itself is great and does everything I'd expect.
Upgraded to the 'lifetime' version, the 'disguise' function doesn't seem to work properly....whatever icon I select - the app icon just disappears, I know the app is still installed but the only way to access is via playstore to 'open' it then cancel the 'disguise' mode and regain one of the default icons. This is a function I was excited to see and really wanted to use. I deleted the app and reinstalled, but the same issue remains. Disappointing.
Use the built in Secure Folder instead. Was a great app for free use, but the developers are all about the money. The ads used to be small and quick, relatively unobtrusive, now they are constant, long, and in you face. I would have purchased the app if the cost was reasonable, but I would never pay a subscription for this type of app, and their lifetime license is the same as I paid for a lifetime to Rosseta Stone. $150 is asinine. I would pay $20 max for this, full featured and ad free.
🚫Be AWARE of this app, after you have storage your files they require you to agree some suspicious permissions that they require to access to sensitive information stored in your phone, modify, read, install, delete, use, etc, pretty much any sensitive information in your phone or any storage device connected, if your don't accept then you can't gain access therefore you lose all your photos. Very tricky, DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP 🚫
Sold out. Over 100 dollars for unlimited storage when it used to be free to add to. Seriously way too expensive. I wouldn't pay more than 5 dollars for this basic service.
App keeps getting more and more paywalled. Features are disappearing right before my eyes. I went from being able to store a little over 200 items to 50. Luckily I was able to export everything and start using a different app. Ads also keep increasing. Stay away if you can!
Don't bother with this app unless you are prepared to pay immediately for a subscription (which are crazy expensive). The app is almost unusable with the amount of ads they spam you with. It used to be tolerable, now it's unbearable and I've moved on to another app.
Have had this app for years. Now all of a sudden cant lock stuff anymore unless I get a pay version even if I deleted already locked stuff to make room for more. Pay verison is expensive and subscription deal instead of one time fee. Will be looking for another app. Review Update Still have same issues but would purchase if was actually affordable. Contrary to what they said its not . Its subscription based 10 bucks a month or 24 bucks for 12 months and lifetime is 150.00 bucks
What the heck! Advertising that leaps out full blast by default? Then it won't let you adjust the volume for a count of 3-5 seconds. That, plus a less than stellar result moving pics into storage tells me your free to sample version sux.
There needs to be a cancel delete button. Now i have to spend millions of hours reorganizing my photos because i tried to delete an empty folder and it deleted EVERYTHING. Quite a while later i am still having many problems mainly where it finds duplicates but deletes all duplicates and the original and a bunch of other pics as well.
I don't need to check the docs. I just deleted this app yesterday because of that. To restore some files, and even to add more, it requires you to "get the premium upgrade." even though the item was once already there and they are yours already. it requires you to pay to get back your items. that's called a paywall.
Lost all my files and cant restore backup. It just say incompatible backup. Delete old backup. It gives no other option. Had to delete the app and unsubscribe. Dont trust this app. You will lose all your encrypted files
Way to many anoying adverts and its too expensive to upgrade in order to have no adverts to make it a long term option to keep this app.
When you first install, there are minimal ads. Once you actually have added files to it, the ads are RELENTLESS to the point it's basically unusable.
Great for hiding important documents. Tax files, vaccination status, etc. Stuff you wouldn't want stolen. Just too many ads
This is the best vault app you can buy.I have tired others but this app gives you full SD support.Not data backups or other files lying around on the internal memory. You need to choose this option but it's awesome.This company takes your privacy to a new level. If you love keeping your private photos and videos and documents private and safe buy this app.I bought the one month subscription to see if it was like the rest but I will be buying a year subscription when that runs out.It's that good!
I have been writing to the management to help me to retrieve all my folders that went missing and I got no response. I hv been using this App for many years and hv stored many folders within. PLEASE HELP!
Works perfectly for what I needed it for. Thank you for this app it is very useful and definitely keeps my private pictures and videos away from any unwanted intruders.
One star so developers notice. This app was great when I started using it about 2 years ago. At one point I had 5-6 folders on the free version, but went to 2 a while back. Tried to add a folder last week, get the upgrade page, oh well. Today I can't even add files without upgrading, when I previously had even more. As time goes on, less is available on the free version. I understand adding more that requires upgrading, but not taking away, and that doesn't get my money just based on principle.
Pretty good but has no way to let uploading work in the background, or at least doesn't show any progress... Which gets confusing when you come back and think it didn't get uploaded. I've lost a few files from that alone... If the process gets interrupted somehow, you basically lose the photo completely, even just from switching apps while the process is going
This app is extremely good if you get premium. The ads in the vanilla version can be annoying, hence the 4/5. But if you are willing to get the premium, I would suggest it. The ability to open folders using the cloud is convient and helpful. And the amount of sercurity for you folders is impressive and rare when it comes to these devices and price when compared to expensive apps for other platforms.
Was very promising at the start. I even paid for a year because the price is reasonable as well. Loved that it uploads your backup to your Google drive. But after I uploaded a bunch of photos they all just dissapeared and I can't figure out how to get it back. Can't recommend this app at all. I'm lucky it wasn't something I can't afford to lose.
