Terrible update!! I used to love this game. I don't like to play multiplayer but even if I tap on "let's ride" it starts to find an opponent and if there ain't any opponent available then I can't even start a race. The older version was much much better where we were asked to complete small tasks and can play single player. I hate this game now!!!
I've tried my best to come back to this game every now and then to relive nostalgia. As the rest of these reviews say, the game is terrible now. The game was so awesome, you were riding on a road which was not as crowded as it is now, getting close calls were satisfying, unlocking characters and styles, but it don't hit the same. Even when we flew off the motorcycle, we had fun. Smiling while we see end credits and seeing how many bones broke. I miss those days. Bring back Highway Rider!
Hey developers of this game I have a suggestion for you I really miss the old version of this game but I did that you don't want to switch it back I'm sure you spent a lot of money developing this new update so my suggestion is take me to put classic game mode option in the menu screen so people want they can put the classic version of the game so you can make both sides happy. I hope you read this because it would fix the problem you are having. Give a like if you agree.
All the comments about the gameplay chang are true I unfortunately. It use to have smooth mechanics now for some reason there is a ton more wheel turn when barely tilting. It gives the impression that your drifting sometimes. Also needs some bug fixes. When starting the tutorial, the camera randomly pans out but still on the rider then you die and get sent back to the level page but there's no option to press anything. Just a map with no levels. The update's done more harm then good. So Go Back!
The game has degraded itself over the time it's been out. Multiplayer no longer works. Ads are much more frequent and disruptive. Trophy challenges don't match up (i.e a very easy challenge has a gold trophy icon, hard challenges have a silver trophy). Bone-breaking game mechanic is generated at random. Graphics shown in screenshots are misleading. The game tends to freeze after crossing the finish line during a challenge. This game used to be a fun timekiller, now it's a buggy, ad-filled mess.
Came looking for a nostalgia hit, instead I got hit with a whole new game. The old arcade game I knew was gone, the beloved endless mode where me and my friends spent hours trying to beat each other's scores had been removed and replaced with stupid challenges and a "arcade" mode that is nothing like the classic endless mode. I loved this game but it's sad to see what it has become today
A really awesome game to look back on but this newer version ruined it. They completely removed everything that's good in the game. No more good characters with their own theme, no more post match pictures and art, for some reason they made the controls hard and clunky, and no more Fugitive mode. Everything fun was removed. At this point, this game lost its identity. I would not recommend this "newer version" and rather enjoy the older versions.
In the old version, it was great, beautiful. Until this new version came and ruin every thing. The worst thing is that every time you hit an object or a car, in the old version, they SHOW you funny physics of a player getting broken bones and all that. INSTEAD, THEY REMOVE IT IN THE NEW VERSION. It's better off to leave this game as a old version.
What happened to this game? I want the old Highway Rider back. Not some mission game where you can't see your crashes and not even see the bones you broke. This game was my childhood and its sad to see it go down this path. I wanted to play this again to feel some nostalgia from this game, but can't. I want to see the old restart screen where you walk out the hospital. I just want this game back to its old state, to its fun state.
Like the other comments say, I remember when you died you would actually hear the injuries happen and then you'd get a list of all the bones you broke and for some reason that was half the fun of playing the game. Other half is they changed the controls to where it definitely isn't how it used to be so it rides worse I feel.
You completely ruined your game, the feel of the bike is off, the new braking system is dumb, and the endless road theme got removed. WHY? I understand adding content to your game but... The old version was so much better. You had different bikers with their own themes, a single endless highway where the more you boost the faster you are, and it gets more and more challenging as you fly passed cars and trucks. The crashing ragdoll too. All gone.
This game was better 4-5 years ago as compared of now. It had two simple modes,arcade and fugitive,which was one of it's highlight. Also after crashing we used to get a cartoon representing rider injured in a hospital. Now it's a very simple boring game. I guess the features mentioned above should be restored.
Honestly when I was 9 and 10 this game was the best but ever since the game was updated, it wasn't the same. I remember the original rider and the zombie riders, also the police chases and also the end credits when you was in the hospital after you crashed, and when you played the police mode and when you crashed you was in the police office, but now it's not like that anymore. But all good things come to an end. If the game went back to it original version back in 2015-2017--5 stars all the way
They just made the game worst. I used to love the old version of this game. The sound effects when you are thrown away when you crashed, the information of the broken bones you had when you crashed, and everything. They literally ruined everything about this game. To whomever made this game, I suggest that if you don't want to bring the old game back, maybe it'll be better if you'll just delete it. You're just making worst decisions in your games
Dear devs...this is a terrible mistake. This game was legendary 4-5yrs back. I loved all the action. The emotes shown by the rider ...the graphics were though were not that bad and awesome controls with the bone breaks screenshot and the hospital scene. This is now just like any other stupid game. Tbh if you wanna regain your reputation just bring back the main old version it would still be great without any update...okay just bring it back ..fix bugs..and new characters,roads thats all ...
I only put five stars so it would be a positive review. Besides that to get to the point, for all of the people wanting road blocks, good cut screens, good graphics, and running from the police, that was in the older version. If you think than this new version is great, the older version is 100x better and many people think that as well. I loved this game untill the new version came out. For the app developers we all want the old version back.
If you like the original version of the game than don't bother downloading this game, it's not even close to how it used to be, the character is not the same, you have a goal on each level now(there are levels now), if you hit something and fall now you will just respawn and overall you can have have fun with it anymore
The updates have degraded the game. This was used to be such a great game. The bone breaks, medical cost, hospital scene were the most fun part of the game.
No where near as good as it used to be, no mode where tells you how many bones you break and see where your player flies off the bike and no general arcade mode. Very very bad compared to what it used to be
I came back to this game and I haven't played it in about 4 years. ITS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE NOW!!! It used to show you what bones you broke and you would fly so far when you crashed but it doesn't do either of those anymore. Also what made you think it was a good idea to add levels and tutorials. Every game nowadays has those and no one likes games like that. I just liked the arcade free play mode. Immediate uninstall and I've only played it 2 minutes.
