HTC Camera　

Since last few days, I have encountered bad experiences with my camera. That is, upon turning it on, the phone keeps crashing and restarting for most of the time. I have tried many possible workarounds to remove this bug but it seems there's no way to resolve it. Updated: this seemed to be due to battery problems. Then, I have revised my reviews

Since two or three days, when i open my camera my phone freeze and restart. I cant put my hands on what is causing this, if it is the update on ggle photos that is causing this or anything else but my phone is lagging, even when I open youtube, the phone freeze and bam, restart after some 30 seconds. Appreciate that same be fixed as am in hell when i have to use my HTC Desire 10 pro!🙄 Basically I cant get anything done properly🙁😑. Thx

I love it. But for some reason when i trim a video and save it, it rotates it 90°. I dont choose the rotate option. So i try to rotate it the right way and save that, but it rotates it back to the wrong way. Last time i had to try it 4 times before it saved correctly.

There seems to be a problem with camera for HTC U11. Whenever I use the camera my phone just crashes and shuts down despite having battery life. Please fix this or hive a solution as to what can be done. there's no use of the phone if the camera won't work properly. I even formatted my phone but the issue still persists. Having spent so much on the phone and if the main feature doesn't work then that's just disappointing.

For the past two or three weeks, the camera app won't open. I thought it was just my phone but it looks like an issue across the board for the U11 model. Restarting the phone doesn't help. It doesn't seem to be related to battery charge or temperature. Often, if the app does open, the back camera won't focus unless I flip to the front camera and back again. The camera is the main reason I bought the U11. Please fix this problem!

The camera issues most of you are having are very likely hardware related. Since the camera hardware itself is very similar if not the same as the Pixel phones, which have the exact same problem, then it's safe to assume it's related to hardware. It could be either a motherboard or a camera module problem. Very likely something to do with OIS, since sometimes putting a magnet close to the camera fixes it. Don't expect any fix for this. Also it did take amazing pictures while it worked.

The camera app recently stopped working. I doubt that it is hw related, because i could use it again after wiping the cache partition. However after one the it does not work again. I am trying now with a factory reset, but please, please, check this issue! I think lot of users are dealing with this issue now!

I'm moderately disappoint with this. One thing my U11+ is a capable phone in record video in 4K. But, this app, cap it at 5 minutes maximum, which is ridiculous. I hope HTC decides to update and remove the cap. Better yet, implement new modes and improvements in the app because I know my phone can handle.

The camera doesn't open anymore. It crashes other apps when I try to use the camera. Customer care is rubbish, help pages useless. This is really frustrating when there can't be a simple app update or os update to fix this. With the number of reported cases, it's not simply a hardware issue. And why is HTC so anti os update. Very stingy with updates. What do the developers do after releasing a phone? Miss using Samsung I'm still waiting for feedback

Main camera crashes on my U11, front facing camera works but as soon as I switch it goes to a black screen and crashes again. Have tried everything from clearing cache memory and force stopping and restarting. Sometimes it will work but 80% of the time it crashes, I really like my phone, please fix this HTC!

App takes poor pictures at nights. Flash seems to be a small touch off timing. As pictures always dark... And could include the option to customize bit rates for videos. Manually... For smaller size at great quality

Keeps crashing when I'm taking videos, and losing all of the footage up to that point. Where's your recovery cache?! I've lost multiple important moments now with this PoS app. I expect way better from a company like HTC who has had my loyalty for years. Not anymore.

Read some recent reviews. I haven't had any problems with my camera app and I have ebeen using htc since the eris. I only came to this section of playstore because my old M8 had 360 panorama function and found it odd that my u11 doesn't. So i was checking if my app was updated. 4 stars for not having some functions like the m8 had (ie 360 panorama, ability to use both front and rear camera at the same time, and I odly enough liked the function of the 2 rear camera on the M8) i do love my u11

This app has a BUG!!! I repeat, there is a BUG!!! HTC will not admit to it, but it is there. If you have problems. DISABLE this HTC Camera. Get any other Camera App. Switch of and switch on your phone, and you will be able to take pictures again. I repeat, do not use this APP

This camera used to be great, now it won't even open. 🤬 I document everything with pictures and now have NO OPTIONS. Every time I try to open it I get an "unable to start camera" error message. It won't open thru any other apps either. PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!

The camera just won't open. I have tried uninstalling it and installing it again. Restarting my phone and the camera just won't work. It's really annoying not being able to take pictures when I actually want to.

Camera started not working this past labor day weekend. Everytime I press camera it says "unable to start camera". Other apps with camera features doesn't work too. FIX IT HTC! Im really close to switching to Google.

Camera doesnot open. Everytime I open the app it shows 'Camera has stopped working unexpectedly.' I cannot use camera in any other app as well. It is a major inconveinence as I cannot click any pictures on my phone anymore.

Absolutely terrible. Pictures are constantly blurry. Have tried cleaning over and over. Adjust settings, clearing cache does absolutely nothing. TERRIBLE

the camera is not opening at all. and when it does open the camera won't even focus. we don't pay all this money for the phine to not work. fix it!!!! HTC 😡I had been a loyal HTC customer for a while now. this HTC u11 is definitely one of the worst I've ever had. there's so many problems. one after another. I might start buying Samsung now....

Camera Auto-Force Stops! This used to work how it should, but from the last few months has absolutely failed. I don't understand why HTC, a brand that I've used for over 10 years, wanted to focus on VR, and neglect their flagship mobiles. Doesn't make financial or practical sense, and it causes nonsensical issues like this for their users. HTC, please pick yourselves up before you completely fall off.

This camera app still works perfectly fine on the HTC 10 EVO. It could just us with some modern feature updates like portrait mode, but others than that it works extremely well.

Crashes can't use the camera with ANYTHING, it's been like this since probably October/November! My last 4 phones have been HTC but with the horrible quality and no hotfixes for this stuff I will NOT be buying htc anymore.

But frankly, the HTC U 11 model is not a good camera because I updated the device and stopped the camera front and back and flash and updated to the latest version did not resolve. I went to a reformer who couldn't do anything. I decided after this not to buy HTC phones. You have been a long established company and you have a good history but unfortunately you have lost your audience all over the world. I decided to buy Huawei

Loved it until, yesterday, I cannot get the camera to launch and my flash light doesn't work either. Was able to take photos via messenger. It appears I am not the first with this issue. I love my HTC U11, please fix this so I don't have to get a Samsung.

camera is not working when i try to open it its do not open, it open in whatsapp but with only front cam option which is useless solve this issue after so many complains why still this problem is not fixed

KILLS MY BATTERY!!!!I loved this app..until recently ..NOW it kills my battery within minutes from being fully charged.there is NO support for UK users & the help pages are useless. I cannot update my phone software as HTC says its as up to date as it can be..last update for phone and htc camera available was 2017. i DO NOT want to get another phone.. So HELP please. Been using HTC phones for years but now looking at taking my money elsewhere
