Nice features, but way too complicated to use on the fly. Too many pages to sort through. The pages don't show things like way points (hunt areas) and property boundaries on all pages. Separate pages for all of that to shuffle between, and no option to make it shown on all pages. To get nation wide stuff pay the extra for Onx. It's much easier and faster to use. Trying to use this while driving from spot to spot coyote hunting at night is way harder than Onx. Too many separate pages to look at.
One of my hunt areas does not sync. Very frustrating and support is not helpful. Will likely be switching to onX Hunt soon. Disappointing as I have many trails and objects marked.
Don't use it much because unintuitive, spotty function and then they want money too. Didn't save any sightings or my trace from yesterday. Not sure what the deal with all this "syncing" of hunt areas and map objects is? The Michigan hunt DNR website offers measuring tools, cover types, public land coverages, ALL FOR FREE. I'm just confused as to what this app is really offering that I can't get from other, proven reliable resources, any gps, or from my own handiwork in scouting? Convenience?
The app is great but takes a bit of getting used to. Great value, I like the features that let you trace the whole property automatically to show boundaries and the information captured when you drop a pin for a harvest or sighting. I just wish there were pin types for hog as well as turkey and deer.
I have taken several good bucks using the weather and moon time of this app. All the features of this app is very helpful in the field as well. I us them hunting and fishing new areas.
I like the app for the most part, but the property info information is not updated often because I contacted what was told to be the landowners, by this app, about some property and they no longer owned it. So I didn't really know who owned it. Last week it was not working due to a bug fix and I was trying to hunt some property of a friend who had dropped some pins for me and when I got to the land, my app would not work. I had no clue without the app. Needs a little work in those areas.
Used to love it would have given it 5 Stars but the maps have not been working for days during the most crucial part of my hunting season there is no way to contact anyone and I have spent money to not even be able to use the app very disappointing. Apparently there was an update that fixes the issue that I was totally unaware of until I started reading other reviews. Still think this is a great app just wish there was some kind of communication for me to know how to fix it without researching
Decent app but I lost all of my saved info when moving to a new phone. I followed instructions several times trying to update between the two phone but it would not work. Tech support is non existent. If I did not have it at an old price I would move to a new app.
I used to love this app even paid for a pro subscription. But I got a new phone and logged in and now all of my markers are gone. I have to start over. Canceling the subscription and going to onx
I used to be great. The accuracy is no longer close on property lines. I used it for real estate but can't anymore.
Geart app! I use it for all kinds of things outside of hunting, finding property lines and the topo is great.
Has worked very well especially for the price! Is a little bit difficult to find your way around and not very intuitive, first few months I was accidently finding features that I didn't know the app had rather than using them.
The property names are all wrong. Like 50% wrong. Ive lived in my house for 22years and its got someone elses name. The main reason for getting this app was so i could see property lines and owners so i could get permission to hunt there.
Had the app for over a year. Love every part of the app and the features within it. Only thing is satellite maps are at least 4 to 6 years behind current. Not a huge deal, but it would be perfect if not for that one issue. Highly recommended.
Even the basic model provides exactly what I needed, a way to designate landmarks and markers. Might even Upgrade to pro for added use.
Downloaded for use of property lines. Most Features are behind a pay wall. Just remove this version and make a paid only version. That's all this is anyway.
This is by far one of the best hunting/map apps iv ever had!! It's definitely worth the money to get the pro version and it's cheep!! Love love love
Really like this app-to the point where i bought the pro version...except today I cannot open any map. Everytime I try, the app closes. I tried clearing the cache, no dice. I restarted my phone, no dice. I kept trying...same problem. My phone is giving me this message now when the app closes: Something went wrong with Huntstand. Huntstand closed because this app has a bug. Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix for this error. There is no update available, help please!
Apparently there was a bug causing issues with the software. Runs perfectly and as I said in my previous review id give it 5 stars if... well the developer contacted me and let me know the issue was resolved which is pretty cool they reached out to me. Id give it 6 stars if I could just for that.
It doesn't let you add trail cam pics using the app so i can't add any pics from my phone. It has to be done from a computer because everytime you open the web browser it automatically takes you to the app. Should of just paid the $99 for onX.
