Way too many buttons and labeled functions either don't work at all, or display data that's days or weeks old. 90% of what I usually want from the app I can get directly from the National weather service much more quickly. For example, it offers 3 channels of video coverage, one for audio updates, and one for written discussion. It's so rare that any of them have any current information that it's not worth the time to check them all multiple times a day.
I paid for a great app and got it. That was the bait and switch. Here's a great app to see what you need to be prepared during hurricane season. I got used to using it and advertised to others how great it was. They then removed all of the great graphics I originally paid for and was accustomed to only to now charge twenty five dollars a year. Greedy. This app does nothing more than link/repost graphics from sights like the national weather service. All the graphics are available elsewhere.
It is convenient to tap on an app and get basically most of the information one would look for with named storms. It would be nice to see a spaghetti model of the invests which haven't been named. Especially if the probabilities of development are a high percent. Otherwise over all I like the app and deem it worthwhile to purchase.
Worked fantastic on iPhone. Since changing to android, the app has never worked the same. No notifications getting pushed to my phone (despite all other push notifications for other apps doing so), and storms 'hanging' on the app for days after they ended. A shame, as it was a really good app.
I'm a weather geek who as a kid tracked hurricanes with a pen and a paper map that the TV stations handed out. I love this app. I used it all last year. I still have family on the Texas coast. Plus, these storms can be nasty as they come inland. So my area can get drenched or burned to a crisp, depending on where we fall on the side of the storm. Bottom line = great app!
I paid $25.00 last July 25th. However, the information in the App is always old. For example, for the TS Laura, the information posted was about a tropical wave!!!!!! Another example: when the NHC updates the official information, the App remained in the previous report, not in the newest one!!!!!! This is the worst Hurricane App. Go for the free ones. The free ones are by far much better and accurate.
Quick and easy to look at all the official hurricane models and latest information in a simple app. Especially the wind force probability charts. Helps with making the decision to shutter up without waiting for the news drama.
The app is brilliant and gives up to date information on storms. Satellite and radar images are great. It would, however, be nice if the developer had the courtesy to reply to emails requesting help and advice!
Premium graphics keeps signing out. Constantly having to sign into it even after checking the 'remember me' box makes it so not worth it to me. Sorry but I wont be renewing unless this is fixed.
This app has been invaluable for me as I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I have, however, had problems with slow loading and slow updates during crucial times. Overall this app is easy to navigate and I have recommended it to many people including my family and friends. Thank you 😊
The app has been very useful. The advisories are great. It seems that the projected path maps are not up to date with the advisories post by NHC.
There are a number of hurricane apps, all of the free ones have annoying ads that's why a paid for the program. Works great, I like the continual updates the best.
The UI seems uninformative most of the time. I suspect someone will put out a dramatically better presentation; I hope so. Just look at the childish survey questions. Forced choices that are not a continuity. Junior high kids?
Living in NE Florida, I got this specifically for Dorian. Tons of great information at your fingertips. The only thing(s) keeping it from 5 stars is it crashes everytime you hit the share button and the "Latest Discussion" in the discussion section from the Hurricane Tracker App Team is from Friday (today is Sunday) so all the information discussed is from 2 day old forecasts. Other than that a fantastic app to have if you live in hurricane prone areas or just follow severe weather.
I have many weather apps being a FL resident. This is the best one available for hurricanes. Extremely detailed and up to date information you absolutely need during hurricane season.
A lot of information... Once you figure it out. If they could clean up the interface - not sure if that's even possible given all the information - they would get another star from me.
I find it informative and clear. I especially like that I can see the more complex European model. App is great for helping children on Gulf Coast stay abreast of conditions.
Your app has been installed for several seasons now (living in South Florida, 15-20 mi. from Atlantic coast). I depend on ya:ll. You haven't let me down yet and I thank you. Please keep it up.
I've had the paid version of this app for years and all of a sudden it logged me out. When I try to recover my account, my email address isn't found. No idea what's going on this used to be a great app.
Excellent if a bit crowded on phone screen. Upgrades are attractive but too expensive for small improvements.p
What a joke. Same information I get daily from one noaa link. Had to pay for the app but they still use most of the "settings" to beg for more money. I feel like a dope for falling for this scam app.
Super helpful as a busy mom during hurricane season. I don't have to stop and keep checking for updates on weather...anything to keep an eye on comes straight to my phone
It's ok but not great. I expected more from it after paying 4.00 dollars for it. It's a bit difficult to use for the average user. It pushes Twitter and I don't really like that.
I live on the mississippi gulf coast. I open the app everyday at least 5 times. Its a small town right on the water exactly where camile and katrina came ashore. Using this app is like having my future read without the crystal ball. I love this app....l dont know how anyone who lives here anywhere on the gulf coast waters could do without the app.
The best Hureicane tracker you can buy. Packed full of maps and data and has real time alerts. Fantastic app!!
Hasnt been updated for more than 2 years. Notifications not working anymore. Slow and terrible UI. Don't waste your money Original review : App is quite expensive for being limited to only 3 regions for notifications. 👎 What if I want to be updated for more than 3...
