iBobber

There’s a lot to love about iBobber. It syncs via Bluetooth Smart® version 4.0 and with phones and tablets for Android™ (version 4.3 and later) up to 100’ away from a shore, boat, kayak, or pier, so you have a fishfinder with a solid connection, that won't deplete your phone's battery like wi-fi does, a fishfinder that goes up to 10hrs on a charge, that's half the size and weight— a fishfinder that’s as mobile as you are. Even if you have a boat-mounted fishfinder, iBobber can free you from seeing fish only under your boat.
Now with Smart Watch sync! The iBobber app can now sync between your phone/tablet and your Android Wear smart watch (LG GWatch, Moto 360, Sony SmartWatch 3, Samsung Gear Live, and Asus Zen Watch).

Note: Phones and tablets for Android™ must have Android 4.3 and Bluetooth Smart 4.0 to sync with iBobber.

Just cast the iBobber bobber (sold separately) and Ping! the iBobber app syncs via Bluetooth Smart and displays where the fish are.

The iBobber app and iBobber bobber enable you to locate fish down to 135’, GPS Tag hotspots, map the waterbed contour, and measure water temperature.

You can save all your fishing adventures with the Trip Log, and share them all on social media. You’ll also love the Lunar Calendar, Fish Alarm, Strike Alarm, LED Beacon, Weather sync, and the app’s stunning graphics.

iBobber is for anyone who loves to find fish, and wants to catch more of them.
The iBobber app is designed for one-handed use, and can help make fishing more fun
than it's ever been. And finding more fish is always a lot
 more fun than just fishing!

Note: Bluetooth Smart is very clever technology and is different from Bluetooth® used in other fishfinders. Bluetooth Smart is designed for short messages from nearby devices such as temperature sensors, proximity sensors, and medical devices such as heart monitors, and now sonar signals. It does a really good job of keeping devices continually paired.

After a period of looking for a fish finder I decided I wanted something portable, light weight and did work. Read a lot of reviews and felt ibobber was the one. WRONG! I bought one 6 months ago, have attempted to use it while fishing freshwater and saltwater. It reads wrong depths, water temps, fish sizes, if there's weeds in the water and that's just to start. It wont stay connected to bluetooth past 25 ft and once you take it out of the water it disconnects and has to be reset to read.

5.20.20 this is my 3rd bobber replacement and 2nd charger replacement. Even with different models of Samsung phones, it still shows weak signal, or bobber out of water, even when it's absolutely in water and arm's length distance away from me. This could be such a great product if they could figure out these bugs.

Not sure what's worse, the app, the I bobber or the owners customer care skills. I've completely lost hope with this now. The first one was broken the 2nd got lost and when I asked how we Could resolve the missing item he told me to wait and it would turn up at some time. So I waited then I sent him screenshots of where I had tracked it and it vanished and he told me to stop sending him pics he knows I haven't got it. Just got 3rd one and it's broken

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I followed all of the correct steps. I even called customer service and they told me "I don't know what to tell you. I would ask for a new phone." This phone is brand new and one of the newest phones available. It will not even recognize the IBobber as a device to connect to it. I connect to about 10 different bluetooth devices without any trouble whatsoever, but the IBobber won't work. My wife's IPhoneXR will connect to it no problem though. Not with android.

It's ok. Doesn't have great connectivity. Connection does very much deoend on how good your phone is. Other than that it works as advertised. Definitely better usage on a boat than on a pier

For the $100+ i paid for the bobber receiver this sux... weak signal. I have a cheap RC boat from Walmart that will reach well beyond the what the ibobber signal will reach... Rock beds are read as 🐟 🐟 🐟... Anything else under the water is also shown as fish.. The only reason i give it 2 instead of 1 star,, it seems to be pretty accurate on the deep after 4 feet... Anything under that forget it

Terrible product. ibobber doesn't work beyond about 20... MAYBE 30 ft if you're lucky. Maybe if it's connected via wifi it would be better but it's completely useless. Return back to Cabelas

Im so mad right now! At the lake and the bobber is not accurately reading. I have the bobber sitting in shallow water..i can see the bottom of the floor. Its sending a signal of all these fish floating past. If there were fish around it...I would be able to see it. Then threw it out farther and still getting the same reading. Its like its in demo mode, but not? The only thing it actually detects is when its out of the water.. Im so bummed...I waited so long to get this....so disappointed

Pretty neat little gadget. Fishing along side my buddy with his high dollar fish finder, I was impressed at how this compared. Of course we were sitting still I knew when I bought it it wasn't designed for reading while the boat was traveling; so I only have one negative thing to say, but it is kind of important. The dark screen is hard to read in the bright sunlight. Is there a way to make this gray scale so you can see it on a sunny afternoon?

Did not work at all watched fish swim by it and tap at it. But the screen showed nothing was around and I know the water was deep enough. I wish I could get the money I know its not worth the hassle trying plus the bobber is now resting on a grassy hill on the other side of the lake

Galaxy S9 will not connect to bluetooth. See ibobber as an available device in app but will not connect. Very disappointed. Useless device.

I was impressed with this app until today. After updating it, it will no longer load. Today, 7-7-19, another update. It is working as it should and am now giving it 5 stars again.

Cra. T. May 19, 2019

it worked fine last year. Now, it takes forever to connect, and will not stay connected. It's useless. I paid $80 for this thing.

So far so good. Just got the ibobber as a christmas gift connect easily, scares me a little that it picked up fish in my sink, but the app is friendly and easy to use

Do you a favor and buy a better sonar. The wireless connection is very poor and its quite innacurate.

Gal. G. Jan 19, 2019

Really nice little sonar for the money you pay. the only thing is sensitivity control, that I cannot adjust.

Lar. L. D. Sep 11, 2020

Charged I bobber, went to lake said it had a weak sonar signal. Other times said it was out of water when it wasn't.

I bought this about 5 months ago. At first it was ok, but now it won't connect to my phone. How am I supposed to use it to find fish then? I'd like to see how this company backs their product. Before reading the reviews, I thought it'd be nice to get a replacement, but now I think I just want my money back, and they can have their fishnotfinder.

This is the best fish finder I have ever used. It's easy to use and is most reasonable!
