Ibotta: Cash Savings & Coupons

I love the app. I forget to use it some times, but that is only because there isn't always deals for what I buy. I do like that certain things I buy all the time, however, are usually going to be available. I would like more of a specialized list of things that I can earn for (maybe with research in my specific area, you can find out what people buy the most here), even if they are 10 cents, every penny counts...give me MORE items I actually buy. 😀

I have definitely gotten cash back from Ibotta. This app works and has several ways to save money and get rebates. It is set up in an easy format too. You can pick items from a list that you plan to buy. You hook it up to your store loyalty accounts and it reads your receipts automatically and gives you the cash back in the same day usually. Very easy to save up the cash and cash out for a digital gift card. I have been using it for about 1 year and really like how it works.

I love getting cash back on monies spent. I especially like that there are many stores that are linked up through here. The only thing I don't really care for is that you actually have to choose and select which deal you want. I think it should show the deals but shouldn't need to select it. The receipts should be the deal breaker on if I chose that deal or not. I also like the extra deal incentives, like getting extra money for purchasing so much money for Huggies products by a certain date.

This app does work for the general purchases, but limited in item choices. Overall, I do get quite a bit of cash back after a while. The Ibotta system probably has to be tweaked a bit. When scanning a receipt, it may not recognize when there's more than one of an item. When you increase the number, scan the items, and submit the receipt, the system still thinks there's only 1 even when it shows 2 when submitting.

I was asked to once again get in touch with customer support so they could solve their problem and change my review. I was told wrong size and flavor. So I sent them a screen shot showing that it was indeed a product they were crediting. No response. I am still missing four items in credit and at least four items for bonus. Previously they had "forgotten" to add an item credited but not added to the bonus. Lost welcome bonus and ignored. My first one star review ever!! Pass this app by!

They always have issues on giving credits for Walmart online orders! This is the 2nd time I can't get my rebate credit. They kept asking me the same thing 3 times. Even when I email them and send them all the info with screenshot and list of items. They kept saying they can't find Thank you for your note. Upon checking your account, I could not locate a receipt for the purchase in question. In order to review your purchase for cash back, can you please provide me with the list of the of items.

Ok app. Use it here and there. Offers are usually the same. Have to get the same stuff over and over. Great when it works and if not that's where issues arise. Got to go thru hoops just to get what's owed. Takes a long time on response unlike Fetch. Been locked out of my account many times due to no fault of mine but with the app. They make you feel like you're trying to pull fast ones when that's hard to do since the app is straight forward. I have recommended it to ppl but with caution.

Huge disappointment! I picked out this application to try because it was listed under the editor's choice. The app itself is fun to view. However I am unable to get any of Ibotta's deals, money back, gift card ect. I have tried to contact customer support. The closest I can get is send an email to?? I have emailed Ibotta's customer care more than I can count. DO NOT BE FOOLED. I can't get any help or redeem any of my so called earned cash back. I am totally open for any advice/help/feedback

i wish it were a tad bit easier to shop and manage cart with the app and store rather than having to go back & forth to check limit, description, etc. other than that, its nice to save a few pennies on things I'm already buying at full price. Also frustrating when buying multiple items on a limit and the receipt only shows (say 3 out of 5), it gives the option to up the limit however after submitting, it reverts back to the original quantity leaving off the others. Not happy here! Your device requirements listed in description are for Android 5.0 & up. But I've gotten an email that my Android 7.0 device is "no longer supported"? I use this app a lot & now you're disabling it because I have an OS which cannot be upgraded, but is only 6 years old?! Some of us don't need to buy the 'latest & greatest' phone every year. I've owned 3 Moto X Pure phones over the past 6 years because they are outstanding phones. The developers need to fix this!

Constantly have to jump through hoops to get the credits your owed. Loyalty accounts get disconnected at random. And customer services picks and chooses when the proof of purchase youve sent in is adiquate enough. My friend and I were both missing credit for the same items, and when he contacted customer service with a digital recipit they gave him credit right away and when I did the same with my own digital receipt I was told it was not enough.

I LOVE Ibotta, I use it for everything. I would like to see a receipt scanning option for stores instead of always having to scroll through all of the offers but it's not that major of a deal. It is worth your time to get cash back savings and the money adds up quick. Thank you Ibotta for everything you do and for helping people like me save money, you guys are awesome!

I love the app but there was a recent update and I had to re-login to the app. It wants to confirm its me by sending a 6 digit code to my email and I'm not receiving the email which means I can't get into my account. I un-installed the app and tried again and nothing. Even tried to login on the desktop site and it still won't let me in. I'm getting very frustrated and would like to access my account with my money in it!

Since using Ibotta I've been racking up over $300 in savings on my purchases from popular stores such as Food 4 Less. Vons, Wal Mart, & many others. Gotta love that! Thanks Ibotta for helping me save! Only issues I've come across is an item not credited after I purchased the item/item's but you can resolve easily with customer support. You have to be detail oriented to make sure you read the fine print on offers. other than that super great app. I recommend.

I am trying to redeem a gift card, and the app is saying that I am "offline" and to reconnect to continue, however I am clearly online so try to figure that one out. It also shows a "rocket ship" and will not let me view the available gift cards for purchase. I have had this app for about 8 months with really almost zero issues up until now. I just messaged customer service so I really hope this doesnt all a sudden turn into a regular occurence of ridiculousness. Will update.

I've been having lots of issues with cash back and bonuses getting credited lately. For the most part, the staff are helpful in getting it applied after the fact, but the hoops you have to jump through in the process are a bit ridiculous. Also, I wish there was a way to see pending credits for stores like Target, etc where it takes a while for the cash back to be applied to the account. At least I'd know to expect the credits. This would help especially with trying to meet bonus requirements.

This app was great up until the past few days. My loyalty account won't link even though I'm 100% positive my credentials are correct. There used to be a menu at the top of each store list that you could click on to change categories easily. Now everything runs together and there's a filter menu that isn't useful since you have to keep clicking on it to check and uncheck boxes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change.

it's very quick to cash out, I got to the minimum required very fast. The interface is clean and things and features are easy to find. some offers give you so much cash back that the item is free. It loads quickly, it never crashes, even though my phone is pretty old, a j3. I would add very tiny improvements, like a place to find the stores that you added to favorites, and an option to only see "free after offer" and "50% off"

I love this app and it's hands down my favorite for couponing, however the most recent update has me not even wanting to use it anymore :( It's much more difficult to navigate and find offers because you now have to manually select filters to sort through, and they all show up in one long list, taking away ease of use and a good user experience. It's no longer intuitive. The old swiping through the categories at the top was so much better.

Update!! My walmart issue has been fixed on the app, back to shopping and saving money!! Thank you :) thought the app was so easy to use and was doing walmart pick up for a few weeks. Now when I go into the Walmart app from Ibotta it only shows on half my screen! I contacted customer service, sent a picture and got no where! I was basically told to use the app on my desk top which is very inconvenient. Hope they fix this issue soon!

3/10 edit - been about 10 days since last edit & still having problems selecting items. Will work for one, then next item won't select or items won't display at all when scrolling. Close app, clear cache, force stop and try again. Bit frustrating. One of the very, very, very few apps that works great. For the rare times I have an issue, customer service is AMAZING!!!! They know how to retain customers. Job well done!

I love the app but with the recent update I'm becoming frustrated. I prefer having the category banners along the top of the window to jump from one to another as I like. Now every time I go back to the ibotta window I have to filter the categories which aren't saved. So even if I open a different app and then go back to my ibotta window my filter settings have all been cleared and I have to do it again! Annoying!

Previous review updated - Thank you for putting the categories back across the top to search through instead of having to filter through them! The categories are no longer listed across the top of the page so it makes searching somewhat difficult. Yes, you can filter the categories, but you still have to scroll through the whole list of items. The list isn't broken up by category either. Other than that, I love this app. I've made quite a bit of money from it!

Used to be a decent app with a lot of offers and easy to get through. Now it takes a solid 5 minutes minimum for the app to even boot up, and there are far less deals than there used to be. The deals that are present are for the same few most expensive products, which is great if you're already going for those, but pretty useless if your goal was to save money or find deals.

I'm beginning to think this app isn't worth it. The app freezes up after like clicking on 2 offers. It takes forever to pin any offers anymore. It was good at first. I do have the most updated version so that's not the issue as I also have a new phone so it's not my phone either. If you fix this bug issue I may change my rating but until then I won't. Also, may want to reconsider the min of $20 to be able to withdrawl your money because it takes forever to get there. 🤷‍♀️

lately this app has been so glitchy. It keeps freezing and crashing. I used to be able to go through all the offers and just click on them to add, now you have to click on it three or four times for it to actually register. now it takes double and triple the time it used to because you have to keep double checking that your offer was actually added.

This app is very frequently updated and it completely disrupts and changes your experience. You can never rely on it working the same way twice. I've had to contact customer support many, many times because it doesn't pick up receipts and misses rebates. Customer service is a joke - you have to do all the research and documenting that the app/service is supposed to do. Customer service asks for the same info several times. I hope one day I have enough money to never have to use this app again

Infuriatingly disorganized. You'll get money, but it's a hassle to navigate this app. Specifically you can't see a list of every offer you've added to your list. Instead, you have to look a retailer and then look at the list for only that retailer. Good luck remembering which offer every retailer has that you've saved.
