You'd think being such a popular hiring service they'd be able to hire someone to redesign their horribly clunky app. Sure it works and can get you a job, but the app itself could be a lot more smooth to operate. The back button in the upper left doesn't work right half the time, and hitting the back button on my phone kicks me to the home screen.
I can no longer get access to me messages. All is says is that it failed to load. I tried on the app and also on the website and neither worked. The back button doesn't work and its pretty slow sometimes. As well as I can't figure out how to contact customer support to fix the messages issue. I am still giving it a 3 because it has helped a lot in getting me jobs and interviews.
Could use a visual update. It's very hard to focus on all the plain black and white text, nothing stands out on any page. The app itself is a bit difficult to navigate. I had to search for the job title because I couldn't find my way to where the favorited jobs end up. It would be useful if there were certain tabs like "favorited" or "recently viewed" on the home screen.
Clicking 'return to search' does not work. It takes you to some random page, and NOT the results you searched for. I've been complaining about this for years. Too many staffing places who just want sign ups. I've been complaining about this for years. Pressing the back button exits the app. Customer service keeps telling me to unimstall/reinstall. Such a drag. App is trash, and filled with random gigs vs real jobs.
It's user experience could get some improvement. When you apply to a job, and you try to go back, it takes four to five tries for the app to actually take you to the job feed page. It happens every time and gives the app a clunky feel. Now, if you decline a position, you aren't given a space to write why you are declining, it just takes the job right out of your messages and archives it.
This app has helped me land every job I ever WANTED the past 2 years. I created a free resume through one of the features. I move/travel a lot, and it's so convenient to search for jobs with Indeed. If I apply to 3-4 different places, I always get a call to set an inter from at least 2 of the jobs within twenty four hours. It's exciting!
The employer side needs a lot of work. The app always brings me back to the top of the list while scrolling through candidates after I've clicked on a resume and go back it takes me to the top. It will also take be back to the job posting all together. Very frustrating. The desktop site works well. Mobile needs work.
Excellent app for finding jobs in your relevant field. Responsive employers, good layout, etc. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for a new job or any job. You can input your resume and it will recognize the words and data to make an indeed resume along with your already existant resume. You can then choose which resume or resumes to send to the employers of your choice.
I have tried many platforms in this category and can honestly say that Indeed seems to offer the most in features. I like that once you create an in app resume, you can actually download it for use outside of the platform. It is easy to navigate, ads do not get in the way. and it also seems to have the most straight forward job listings. Unlike other platforms, I have not experienced the data mining, info seeking postings that end up just sending you to another career site . This is my go to!
Indeed app helped make an easy resume including everything needed plus as job searching ask to add skills you may not have thought of which is also nice knowing what skills are needed per job. I DO NOT like that almost half of the jobs listed are not real jobs where you are looking and when applying for a job you want it sends you to 3 or 4 bogus jobs before, if at all, getting to the one you clicked on.
Super glitchy. Used to save my searches and will for a time. But then will completely delete all of them and I have to start over. I don't like the setup. It was changed a while ago. I gave it a chance, but it's terrible compared to the previous setup (didn't have to click a tab to go to your searches). All around, the app has just gone downhill. Constantly says there are new jobs in my saved searches but when I click on it, there are none.
Great job search app with a decent interface to get started if you are new to the workforce. Indeed provides basic tools to create a basic resume, however if you are looking for a truly professional resume, I'd recommend going elsewhere. The app has alot of trouble when it comes to filtering out jobs that interest you if you are looking for jobs outside of your current residence. There's no way to change the filter if you are looking for jobs 50+ miles from where you currently live.
It's horrendously slow. I'm not using a sluggish device, snapdragon 845 and 8gb ram. If I click on a job post it takes literally 10-15 seconds for it to open it. Sometimes I think the app froze but if I wait long enough it will load something. It's borderline unusable at all. Other apps work fine, it's not my device. I have to click on a job post and put my phone down for a few and then I can pick it up and read a job description. It's absurd.
Easy to navigate, find local jobs, and makes communication with potential employers very easy. Indeed takes the stress out of filling out multiple applications by saving your personal information, resume, cover letters, etc and having them readily available when you need them. I have never experienced problems with the app crashing or any major glitching. I feel like my information is safe after many years of using Indeed, I've never received unsolicited calls due to lack of security on my info.
This app interface needs a lot of work. The settings for the app are not customizable and the standard search is inaccurate. The website and app are different which is odd considering they should be the exact same. The delay in receiving notifications is very annoying. When I receive a message before 5pm some days I won't receive a notification from the app until after 10pm and some days it is within 30 minutes. Either way it is inaccurate. I prefer the website.
Its good, popular so there's lots of employers and possible employees on here. only gripe is that the in App "Back" button on Note 9 is a legitimate back button instead of a screen swap, so if you've just finished an application and hit that to go back to the search you were just at, it instead gives you the error code "you've already submitted this application". Also clicking on a listing and backing out forces you back to the top of the search and thats annoying.
Would be a good job finder if it actually worked. On three different occasions I've had to uninstall and reinstall because the app doesn't save your searches. You contact support and they tell you the same thing. "Do a clean" as in deleting it and then reinstalling it again. You get messages and the notification doesn't go away even after you've read them. These guys have made millions and could care less it seems about fixing this app. Find another because this one has become a joke.
App doesn't work half the time. You click and click and nothing opens. Constantly shows me jobs outside search parameters or that I'm not qualified for. Most of the time it just opens to a blank white screen. Hard to navigate back to job search after applying. Constantly tells me I don't have a saved resume so I have to resave it. Try to add skills to resume but it will never allow me. I have to uninstall and reinstall almost every other day.
Indeed has a streamlined process that makes searching for jobs a breeze! Both the website and app are easy to navigate and very user friendly. You can receive messages from prospective employers and apply with an uploaded resume. I really hate LinkedIn's model so this app is a breath of fresh air and more reliable than CalJobs, Craigslist, etc.
this app is pretty ok if you want to browse local jobs. the jobs are extremely repetitive though. you do get calls for interviews depending on how closely your resume matches the position you are interested in so thats a major plus. I don't like that if you've worked in a particular industry even just once you get flooded with the same types of jobs. for example I worked at a warehouse once but don't flood me with those types of jobs. Settings didn't let me turn off the option :(
It's ok, it's kinda useless. I've been using this app for a while, while although I have been able to find SOME jobs because of it, it does not have alot of job opportunities for me. One issue I have is the notifications or messages, you can open them a thousand times, you will never get rid of the new messages. It really could use some improvement
The app works smoothly, allowing you easily search and apply for jobs that fit you're previous experience and all other criteria. They also provide up to date job opportunities tailored to your work experience. Honestly love this site for job searches, it makes the job search process so much smoother and less stressful.
I really enjoy this app. It is a HUGE convenience when it comes to searching for employment and makes the job pool seem manageable. Navigating the site is also very simple and non-complicated. My favorite part about the app is being able to apply in seconds at the touch of a button once you've entered basic info. Overall this app is definitely worth the download! :)
Don't use the app, its so buggy. If you reviewed a job then you vlick on back it reloads the page everytime you click on the back. It won't allow you to apply for a job always shows "no network available" for some reason. Then how the hell the app loads all the pages except the "apply for a job" icon.
Personally it's very useful, on the go easily being that it's the phone app of course, resourceful and there when you need it most.! Very informative, guides, directs, even teaches you the way to properly handle not only the app itself, but gives advice on how your profile page, and resume should be and look. If I could I'd take a small corner of a star off only because I don't agree you should be charged on how and getting a expert on lessons in building your resume and the way it should look.
