Worst app. Whenever I tried to book a ticket, it said that the Booking failed while the other side, my payment gets deducted. Another thing that one has to wait forever in order to get redirected to the main Page. Also it takes a second to get payment deducted, while they say that refund will be processed within 4-7 days.
Useless app. Waste of time. Is it working? As I gone through the reviews about the app, I am not surprised to note that most of them felt the same way, excellent single star rating from many users. It is an exquisite and excellent advertising app, though it is supposed to be used for train ticket booking which is very difficult to impossible. It will become more pathetic during tatkal booking time. Great
They have so many ads all over the app. As soon you enter your mobile screen is filled with ad's.. It makes the user difficult to book a ticket whenever you try to click something somehow you click on the ad's.. Transactions will not go through you encounter multiple errors while doing a booking. Ad's are placed everywhere it's really difficult for a user to differentiate between an ad / the next button..
User friendly app for ticket booking. I have been using this app since past three years and its performance has been quite satisfactory. However, since the past few days it just doesn't open. The screen keeps displaying the message- Validating... Developers, kindly fix this problem in order to enable uninterrupted services to users. Thank you.
Since last 3 months it has become worst. Once you click to check availability, it takes its own time to show. I had never experienced such problems with it in the past, but now, I can definitely say it has gone worst. Whichever company is handling the software, either leave this yourself or try to improvise. Else people will book from window, but not from here.
Absolutely trash app! Don't understand how an Indian government app which always sees traffic during tatkal reservation crashes every single time. Not able to login. Not able to search trains. The amount of frustration to book a tatkal ticket through this app is just unbelievable. The problem has been persistent since so long yet no improvements are being made to make the experience better. TRASHHHH.
This app which was supposed to be more user friendly and easy to use, takes you through a process of inordinate delay and wastage of precious time. In my case, I have been trying to get OTP on my email for the last two days. It neither sends nor explains why it's not sent. Due to this delay, I am neither able to view the actual booking status nor able to cancel my booking. Should I say more about the pathetic situation?
Pathatic App! Earlier it was much easier to book tickets on IRCTC. Now every time I click into any option it keeps on showing to be processing it and eventually it will say "unable to process the request". Not only the situation is worst at the time of booking Tatkal tickets but even making a normal reservation would become no less than a herculean task because of lagging and bugs. Ps- I have already updated my app, but situation remains the same.
One of the worst apps I have used. It does not work as intended in first go and one has to repeat the same process multiple times. If the app is to be updated, it does not give any information and one has to figure out oneself that the app needs updating. The IRCTC officials do not understand that sometimes one has to use the app in emergency and at that time, this app is a nightmare. I am giving 1 star, because there is no option to give less than that.
I have been using this APP for a long time but for a few months it has been working very worstly, Particularly in Tatkal bookings. We all know that the IRCTC server runs a bit slow on Tatkal bookings, But this APP constantly browses or stops on Tatkal bookings for over half an hour. This has been going on for a few months now even though we are using full speed Wi-Fi, So we urge developers to fix the issue ASAP, Otherwise you will lose users. Thanks in advance for doing this.
The app is good for booking & does not do any kind of fraud while booking tickets. The overall experience is good but the thing that is not up to the mark is its UI. The user interface sometimes creates problems while booking tickets as it doesn't respond, stops working and gets hung. This sometimes happens while doing the transaction & the money gets deducted without the tickets getting booked. But no need to worry the money is refunded within a week. But this problem should be resolved soon!!!
IRCTC site often gives error message, many a times after payment. One has to repeat the process multiple times to get a ticket booked. Suggestion: Have an option to save the details so that in case of failure, one is not required to enter the details again and again. The last transaction shows all details but there is no option to use it to book ticket.
Although my internet connection is good, app never returns data. Previous versions were smooth. IRCTC is behaving like as if they don't have money to develop an app, there many ads and its unable to fetch data. In 2022 they are unable to provide smooth and adless app interface, God knows how their bullet train would be built
The app keeps buffering for eternity. Developer may provide some control over the ongoing process to stop it. The app freezes and one has to login again. And the Captch is also very typical. I don't think that complicated captcha prohibits a boat from using the app more effectively than the simpler captcha. You can think of better (less time taking) alternatives. Overall design of the app is also cluttered. It's not user friendly. Need more coherent clubbing of various functions. Thanks!
This is such a pathetic app, login takes almost 15 mins and serval retries. Developers really need to change the entire architecture or the app should be managed by another team. The railway department should look into this. I am 100% sure that it's slower because of the ads and poor backend. There are several apps that have heavier traffic and that do perform very optimally. Please change the developer team and move to different software architecture.
Is there worse an app than irctc? Extremely cluttered, hopeless navigation on the app, extremely tacky payment process.... Omg! I can't even name all the problems. A pathetic app that can very easily frustrate even the coolest headed person in the universe to the innermost core with its disgusting, random, inconsistent operations... It just surpasses the lowest level everytime you log in. Don't even try unless you are in a dire situation. Waste of time and energy.
The latest version has gone down with many issues. Performance issue has become prominent recently, and app gets stuck in middle. The very basic functionality of password reset does not work in the app...I wonder who are the privileged ones handling a national railway app for the biggest democracy in the world. shameful !
The app shows how poorly the technical team is handling the performance of the app. Especially at the time of tatkal ticket booking, the app becomes so slow and inefficient. They surely know everything about it. But they still are so careless. Sometimes the travel is much needed and your app is just going to make people more helpless. Please shut this app quickly or atleast remove the functionality of tatkal booking.
One of the worst app, i have ever seen. I tried to pay for my ticket 2 times. But when the payment option failed to complete, it again starts from the home page. The railway authorities has to look at these problems in online ticketing systems. Otherwise people will end up in long ques in railway stations for reservation tickets.
Horrible app, most of the times the transaction fails but the amount gets deducted from the account. Transaction success rate is less than 25%, There are lots of glitches in the app. Logs out ever now and then between the transaction. No warnings at any stage, You get only one intimation at the end about the failed transaction after the amount has been deducted from the account. Very disappointed with the overall experience
One of the worst app in my personal experience. I booked tickets via this app and after few weeks when I want to cancel my tickets it doesn't show my tickets in My Bookings session, so how can I cancel my tickets when it doesn't show at first place. Always showing error and fetching whenever I click. Fellow passengers it's my personal advice to look for alternative options. Never rely on this app.
It's only logical that an app gets better with every update. But this one is clearly an exception. Designed with an apparent vengeance towards travelers, this app is painfully slow, extremely non user-friendly, unintuitive and ugly. Yet, millions of people put up with this disaster of an app everyday because they don't have a choice. It's shameful that this is the best we could make in India.
Whoever developed this app did a great job for irctc; because: 1) There are tons of ads 2) The app freezes a lot while booking tatkaal ticket. So there's a very little chance of getting a confirmed ticket. Plus, they deduct their charges no matter what. So it's a win-win for irctc. 3) This great app freezes even while checking seat availability, no matter when you check. It may be a feature from their perspective.
Is this really an app for ticket bookings or to show adds? Such pathetic app developed and too many unnecessary adds. If someone tries to book ticket then he needs to pass so many adds that ends up into no booking or frustration. If this is for passanger's help them needs to remove all these adds, of you want to put adds for revenue then please show then at beginning not inbetween or ending.
Here you'll get only ads, ads and only ads. While booking a seat you cannot book it easily. First, you've to wait for a long for it's verifying user, refreshing captcha, etc. And if by any chance you are on the transaction page, the transaction will get declined or you'll get a seat in Waiting. And that's not enough, they'll also charge for the tickets which are on waiting (which is not our fault). Soon the IRCTC will be much more richer than any other company
Earlier it used to be very fine. Recently for a few months, it's being the worst possible app ever. Every alternate time money gets deducted but transaction confirmation page loads for an eternity and then shows error. Being a student and a frequent passenger, it's very difficult to pay twice the amount everytime and then wait for a refund. Also during normal browsing processes, the page loads forever. There's nothing to be done except scratching heads and hoping for a successful transaction.
