OverviewiVMS-4500 (Android) mobile client software, which is designed for mobile phone on the basis of Android OS (Version 4.0 or higher), can be used to remotely monitor the live video from embedded DVR, NVR, network camera, network speed dome and encoder via wireless network, play back record files, locally store and manage pictures and videos, control alarm output and realize PTZ control as well.With this software installed in your phone, you are able to log onto the front-end device via Wi-Fi or 3G; besides, if there is no public IP available for the device, it’s accessible by using a dynamic domain name, or by mapping ports to the public IP of router. Notes: 1.Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G access service must be supported by the phone. 2.Network traffic charges may be produced during the use of this client software. Please refer to the local ISP.

Note 1.The live view effect is related to the performance of the network and phone hardware. If the live view is not fluent or the screen appears blurred, please reduce the resolution, frame rate and bitrate of the camera, or decrease the image quality in the software.

Complete rubbish, MUCH worse than the previous version, which is not without its own issues. I've installed this new version on my new phone and most of the time it just buffers. I can count on one hand the number of times it has actually worked. By comparison, I have version 3.1.1 on my old phone and it still works most of the time. Hikvision software is unfit for purpose.

My advice is don't use their cctv system. The videos won't load, the app is one of the worst I've seen (so not user-friendly, instructions aren't clear, and it looks like it came out 8 years ago), the livestream acts up twice-thrice every month, and this may seem trivial but I don't see any buttons that let me watch playbacks in multiplied speed, so if you need to watch a playback of one-hour long, you can't watch it in a faster pace.

Was forced to download this version and it constantly sticks or when it starts up no connection comes up so therefore, no video. The previous app was great. It functioned perfectly but with this version, its truly annoying. Please fix or revert. Update: Over a year later and still the worst. I have been trying for over an hour to get to see my video feed but nothing. This forced version is definitely the worst they created. Please sort this out.

The old versions of the app were great. All the newer versions have a glitch in the software that makes the recaptcha cycle forever. You enter the code - it says the code is wrong (although its not wrong) and then it gives you another code and the cycle is endless. Customer service is horrible and the end result is you can't view the cameras remotely ever and you get frustrated. I've lost hope on this software - no remote access over a year now. Multiple brands work; only HK Vision doesn't work.

Worked well until a recent release. As an app developer, I sent a full stack trace to the support info email, and they refused to help me because I had purchased the DVR on Amazon. Even though the problem was between their app and their server, and had nothing to do with the DVR. What could have been a good customer experience was instead turned into an utter failure.

Suddenly stopped connecting to the cameras. Thanks to a review here, I discovered that it would connect if I disabled wifi and used 4g connection. However, if you reenable wifi and then view a particular camera, when you switch back to viewing all cameras, connection to the others is lost again. Please fix this App, it was part of the selling point of the system! It used to work quite well. According to the info here it hasn't been updated recently, so perhaps the problem is at Hikvision's server (?).

As usual, the mistake was between the chair and the keyboard. Wrong port numbers. Now works perfectly. Thanks for the great app! Previously I wrote: ==== I installed the iVMS-4500 app on October 27 to monitor the aircraft hangar equipped with 3 cameras, but I was very disappointed because after a while trying to connect, only an empty box and a timeout message appeared. At the same time, accessing the cameras via my laptop works absolutely perfectly from the same network (which I expected from my smartphone as well). According to recent complaints, there is a mistake in the last October update, am I right? Any idea (before the error is fixed, hopefully), or where else could there be an error? ====

Wont display in portrait mode on my Google Pixel 3 XL, only in landscape mode. Please fix! Otherwise great little app. Have used it on a number of Android smartphones without issue in portrait or landscape mode but my Pixel 3 XL won't show unless it's in landscape.... Extremely annoying as it is very stretched looking and can't make out the video footage

The app runs all the time in background (with a permanent notification) and permission to phone's camera. I used this app to monitor my dog in a boarding - for which neither is needed. Plus the UI is clunky - the picture resizes sometimes to leave a margin. On the plus side, adding the specified camera wasn't tough. I had to forceably disable the extra permissions, but many users won't do so - seems an update is desperately needed.

It does what it says it does, it shows the cameras from the DVR, it does it for a period of time, after a few minutes the cameras start turning off, it may be the cache, the memory, you have to restart the app to see all cameras again. I found that it doesn't support shared devices from one hik-connect cloud to another hik-connect cloud account, or multiple logins from cloud accounts, it could be very useful if the developers could add those features. overall, great app!

I wish the app were more user friendly, connecting to a set of cameras is a chore. I have two sets of cameras, one at home and one in another country. Everytime I open the app, the cameras abroad have disconnected. This happens on my dad's phone as well. Connecting is hard enough as it is, and I can't keep setting it up everytime I open the app. Please fix this, it would mean a lot.

This is total rubbish! It was working fine on my phone til last week or so and now I cannot see anything else. I uninstalled and installed again but I have not idea what is going on it would just not connect.. It keeps saying connection failed. The best version was 4.7.3 for me, which I was on before, but it seemed that it upgraded the version or something and now it is not working and I cannot see anything and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING!!! Pure and total rubbish!

Absolute rubbish. It is a downgrade on the old app, and the old app needed a lot of improving. When I can log into a camera which is rare, I cannot watch a playback properly. Truly awful. I can only watch it on phone and ipad, not on PC / TV. I don't know what to do. Very expensive to install a different product now, but I can't see a way forward. No one to contact, the company seems disinterested. Meanwhile my business and property are at risk.

this has been a great app for my cameras. never had any issues since I have updated my Samsung it has changed my cameras. There's a glare in the live view all the time . I will double click the camera and it comes up fine. I try to screenshot the problem but it then takes the photo phone. so I think some updates have messed about the app. please fix it !!!!

I used to be able to run this app remotely without any issues. However, since these updates I've now had nothing but trouble viewing remotely over my Samsung galaxy S21. The cameras won't load and it just gives me the [Connection Failed] error. Things on my end are totally fine. Fix the app to correct this so I can actually watch my cameras remotely instead of holding on to a now useless App and I'd be extremely happy!.

Rubbish app. Takes forever to load live cameras, if it even does load (often has an error). The old version had a picture next to the motion alarms so you cojld decide if you wanted to playback. This version does not have this. Hold version wasn't great but was 10 times better than this version.

Get connection to a Hikvision DVR on 1st try, but when trying to change to a different camera, it times out. Then keeps timing out... very frustrating. Have to travel to site, reboot DVR and then it does the same thing. Done with this... Will need to find a different app or replace my DVRs... any recommendations?

This was a good app once, but since Hikvision updated it, it now starts itself up and runs in the background all the time and you can not stop it. You do a force stop and next time you look it's back running in the background eating your data. I would not recommend this app, hikvision is becoming a very poor outfit.

Usable, albeit riddled with obvious bugs. As some reviews have pointed out there are issues with device list and live view connection reliability. For example, changing some settings caused a device to disappear from the list so I had to unlink it and add again which took few attempts to work. Another issue is that when device is added, live view doesn't load unless I restart the app. Navigation is not intuitive. Also it's annoying that aspect ratio of 4:3 cannot be changed on smartphone.

I use a more reliable app for the cameras. Was told that I'd need this one for two-way communication. On that note, this app is completely useless. I'm supposed to just tap the microphone icon and speak. The mic is always shaded and unresponsive. Plus, 99% of the time when I open the app, I get "connection failed." Useless!

This app worked so well before it was updated and now when I login it doesn't recognise my DVR so I am unable to remotely see my camera's. The strange thing is the HD version of the app works but unfortunately it displays in landscape format. What I don't understand with these continues app updates is IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DON'T FIX IT!

I like the app and functionality. Generally works well, able to get alerts, view live action and even remote playback. The only problem I have is that the app doesnt seem to save the settings so I have to set up the remote playback settings each time I open the app.

Let's start at the top. The makers of this app are using false reviews to push up their user rating. They are requiring access to your camera storage, contacts, and, device history. This app remains open in the background and also leaves open the access to your camera (both front and back) along with your microphone. The only way to stop this app is to uninstall it. I have reported them with this info to Google. I suggest you uninstall and do the same.

Rubbish. Disgraceful company Everytime I open the app I have to log in and out of my account otherwise it says My device has 0 cameras when it has 16... after logging in and out a few times if I'm lucky the 16 will appear again. And good luck trying to remote playback. As soon as you scroll through 1 of the cameras it gives up and crashes out with a server busy message.. which then stops all the other cameras from remote playback. Forcing you to log in and out again. Rinse and repeat.

It works as a basic app for viewing my camera so I would give it 3 stars except, every fortnight or so, the app completely forgets my connected NVR & camera. Each time I have to refind and reconnect my NVR and camera. Sometimes it can't find my NVR for several days so I cant view it online. Not good enough. 1 star or lower....! **Update** The app has completely stopped working for 2 weeks now. The camera is still connected but fails to show any image. I would give Zero stars if it was possible.

App used to work great, but it's kicked me out twice in 1 1/2 years, prompting multiple calls to the installer who thinks it's reasonable to charge me $150 per hour to correct the problem. Doesn't seem like a scam at all... Update: Contractor came out an fixed it AGAIN. Worked great for about 3 months, and now I'm waiting to get this fixed AGAIN. Sure makes me glad I spent several thousand dollars on this system! Seriously, it sucks!

Cannot delete all alarms in one go. Have to delete one by one. Old version allowed to delete all notifications in one go. Also old version displayed snap shot video of each notification . Current version does not allow this. This is a step backwards. Shite version. No option to load previous versions

Useless!! The old version of the app worked great, but stupidly I "upgraded" to the new version and it's absolute rubbish!! I haven't been able to see live view or any images whatsoever since the so called upgrade. I'm highly disappointed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times now, but it still does nothing.

So this app works pretty well with the cameras at my home. But the latest update has some issues. One in particular is the inability to login, after logging out. It gives this error "Network Exception" after I put in my ID and password. I have tried multiple times, my mother faced this problem as well, and the error was not even present in the previous version. Please fix this!! I will change my review, to a more deserving one then.

I wish for an updated version of this app. Last update is still 2019. This app has been a hassle since live view won't load most of the time. I need to uninstall–install–login everytime. I almost gave-up on this app if not because of my need to monitor the cctvs. PLEASE GIVE US SOLUTION FOR THIS CONCERN.
