The concept of the app is fantastic, but it doesn't have a friendly interface to use =\ I started a workout to check how the app works and I'm still not able to erase it. Support was kind to answer my questions, but still the last answer was that I needed to erase it from the web and then sync... Too complicated for erasing a log =\ Hope they can improve the ux, then it will be really powerful!!
The screen coming up when you start a workout is so unnecessary and a waste of time. The screen also doesnt fully fit a wide-screen/ longer phone. The UI is a outdated and tapping a set/ rep number should put the BEHIND the number. Who wants to add a number infront of the number. It should highlight the number so you can OVERWRITE it. Syncing a workout or progress photos is also annoying. Especially when they've already been hacked. Jefit is lucky other apps are even worse, except for their UI.
Free version has very limited functionality, so I paid for a month subscription to give it a chance with its full feature set. Logged one workout, and it was... fine. The UX is a little unwieldy while you're in the gym if you haven't set up your workout ahead of time. Went back 2 days later, and everything is back behind the paywall. Every time I try to restore my elite membership the little circle spins forever. Mildly frustrating software that turned into a total ripoff.
I really do like the app so far. As it's simple and offers a broad range of programs. The issue I have is that if you change the order of your workouts it resets your progress. It's frustrating as that slows down my progress since I have to figure out what weight and reps I did before. Please fix this and I will change this to a higher rating.
The app was recently updated so that the volume chart changed. The volume chart is now aggregated by week for any range more than 14 days. That makes comparing your volume across workouts impossible for more than two weeks. Also, as others have noted, there is a bug in the timer between sets. It is attached to the UI thread so when the app is moved to background it stops
hands down the best workout app. I've been working out for around 3 years now and I have written down every single work out I have done, you can see what you are lacking or where you are doing good with the press of a button. it has pretty much every single exercise out there ( except weighted push ups, please add that if possible ) . can't recommend enough
I would give a higher score if you would fix the darn set timer. It has been broke for 6 months now. It would be really nice if it allowed you to mark your set as either (warmup, normal, failure, dropset). That way when i look back at my logs, I know how hard that particular set was, which is REALLY IMPORTANT. Also, the set timer DOES NOT run when the screen is off. So none of my logs have the correct rest time anymore. VERY ANNOYING!!
Great app for the use. You can totally get by without having to buy a subscription, which is great if you're just getting started. My only gripe is that is needs a larger library for lifts. Granted, the library's is pretty massive already. However, the absence of sled lifts (workouts) and other free movement lifts (sledge hammers, incline runs, etc...) are apparent. Love the app. 4.5 Stars
Not 5 stars because for some reason when I change screens during a workout, the timer stops. Also, when I skim ahead to check the next exercise so I can prepare, the timer automatically starts. other than that, I love the app, because it has helped me loose 70lbs so far.
I've just started using the app again after a bit of a break. Overall the app is solid but it's disappointing how many ads pop-up that you have to deal with. That was a big shock after returning. Also, it seems kinda lame that you are expected to get a full membership in order to use the WearOS version.
Downloaded this app originally about 5 years ago. Developers took features that used to be available for free, like showing your previous weight/reps without having to look back in your logs, and put them in the paid version only. Also several ads now are unskippable despite having a "skip ad" button and the only way to get around them is to close the app. Very disappointed the developers made their app intentionally worse to get more people to sign up for their subscriptions.
I've used this app for years and it's very good, I've recommended it to everyone. Only issue I've got at the moment is the weight and reps input for an excersise shows ghost of the weight I logged last time, but the wrong sets, some excersises are fixed on 8 sets, some on 6 and I can't seem to change it. I'd like it to just show what I'd done last time. Help would be appreciated!
Good tracker as far as weight/ reps go. Easy to make program and custom exercises. The math in the program is way off. The bar charts and everything would be cool if they were at all close to being accurate. Unfortunately, they are not.
I've been using this app since it came out. Why am I paying for a membership when this app has more bugs than it's worth. Example: wide grip lat pull down, alternate exercises are all ab workouts, why!?! This is a back exercise. When correcting a weight for a completed set it puts the cursor at the beginning and adds to the weight already there, no I didnt life 10105 lbs. There needs to be a bug reporting button. Fix this app or it's time for me to move on on to something better.
I really love this app. So comprehensive and versatile. Been using it for years now. But honestly, the disappearance of the rest timer has become extremely annoying. Please help me get it back!
This hurts. Since Jefit has gone "software as a service" and no longer offers the "Pro" ad-free version for a one time fee, I can no longer recommend them. Elite gets you nothing worth paying a monthly fee for: nutrition articles available for free all over the web and workouts you won't be needing because most people don't change up their workouts that often. Pro was great and a worthwhile purchase. Elite is a waste of money. I can no longer recommend Jefit. Software is not a service!
I've been using this app for a few years now and I love it. Super clean UI, great database of exercises and it's great to use during a workout. Sometimes there are changes that I don't like but it's alright because there's a lot of hard work that goes into this
good app, works well on free version. syncs perfect with my oppo watch and i can log every set and rep with weights as well. really nice lots of other useful bits like nutricion and different types of workouts
Excellent App to maintain your good health or do body building. Nice and easy interface to create your own workout plan or buy a plan well designed by professionals. I think it would be like cherries 🍒 on the cake if approx calories burnt info is also added after instructions of each exercise that is explained for users to select into their workout plan.
I've been enjoying JEFIT for a few years and love it. There is one issue though that is frustrating. Cardio is never counted in insights so I'm not getting the feedback on muscles worked and recovery.
The watch app doesn't work, it doesn't sync at all. I've uninstall, reinstall, disconnected, restarted and just about everything and nothing is working. It still says syncing and that's it. I got a Samsung s22 and samsung watch 4. Yep
Love the app, it's the only workout app that keeps me engaged and motivated to continue. I would give it 5 stars if I could have it work with my new Samsung active 4 classic watch but it doesn't seem to sync and gets stuck on the "syncing..." Part
I love this app, I'm terrible at remembering my weight routines and the ability to add my own routines is awesome giving me that variety I need to stay engaged in my workout training. I love the fact I can earn points to get the pro features and the different pre-made workout options as well, highly recommend.
Super easy to create and share routines with friends and really useful for ppl who always forget how much they lifted last gym visit. Nice app watch too. Small improvement for it could be to somehow accept input from a galaxy watch 4 rotating bezel, but not a deal breaker at all
When in silent mode on my phone, jefit vibrates needlessly when in an exercise. The rest timer is fine, but as soon as the rest timer timer is done and the working set starts, it vibrates like every second. It's absolutely annoying.
I've been using the app since 2012. They have had some bad updates on the way that made no sense but also a lot of good updates to add helpful features. There is even CSV export functionality on the website now!
This is by far the best app in terms of completeness and functionality. The number of exercises available is mind-blowing and you can definitely create the perfect routine for your needs. However... just like going to the gym, you'll really have to stick with it because the interface is absolutely horrible. The app is acceptable but is limited and only useful in the gym. You have to use the website (seemingly designed in 1997) to create/edit routines by clicking through never-ending menus. But you do get there in the end. 5 stars if the website was brought up to 2018 standards.
