KakaoTalk: Free Calls & Text

The app is generally cool, you can say that it is an analogue of Telegramm with a softer design, but I ran into two problems. 1: I can't join open chats when I click on any of them u pops up a warning that "you can't join open chats this is done in order to protect users" 2. I don't know, maybe this is my mistake, but I encountered such a strange thing when I search for one user by id, and I get a completely different one, and I entered the id correctly.

Installed the app and wanted to message my friends and I was blocked because according to kakao policy, you cannot message people that you haven't messaged before. Same with group chat. If I can't send a message what is the use of the app. Tried calling AND same thing you can only talk with people you have messaged before. TOTALLY USELESS APPLICATION.

Can't get back into my account. It doesn't send any verification codes to me and keeps saying that verification code is still in progress. This message is shown for almost a day until it tells me to start over. I'm really frustrated.

The worst messaging application. You have to use your phone credits just to 'verify your identity,' I had to spend money just to sign up on this stupid app. After I finished signing up, the app isn't even responsive, and I can't even send messages to my contacts or join open chats due this 'user protection policy' BS. It is not user-friendly at all.

Cannot send verification message. I'm based in the US but when I tried to send a verification message, it's telling me to send a text to +44 number (in the UK) for some reason, so I can't send it. I cannot use this at all because of this issue.

my phone broke and i needed to access messenger to let people know they need to contact me through other means. both the online version and mobile version (on a spare wifi phone with no working number) REQUIRE phone verification.... MY PHONE BROKE HELLO??? no workaround, no email, no customer service, no help. useless when i needed it the most

This is the worst thing ever I was logged out by Kakao talk trying to log in all it's showing is wrong username and password tried many times but still not.... Even trying to open a new one. It's says send a verification message but it's not sending i was thinking it was network but it 3 weeks now I have been trying it and you guys made me lose money so much, I own a clothing store and and your making me lose money, I no longer have anyway of talking to my suppliers.....

Useless app, can't chat friend who already in your friend list, it says "you are currently not allowed to send messages to a user who you haven't sent messages before in accordance with our user protection policy." even my friends also get messages like that, so how do we start chat?

it won't let me log in without sending a message to a skitchy number they gave me for " verification" , and the message won't send. worst messaging app don't use it unless you're from korea

It's alright but every time I try to talk to friends it keeps on freezing or the notifications doesn't work at all plus it's really hard for me to do anything especially with a new phone as well

There is no built in video player,so it has a huge impact in user friendliness.Also it would've been really awsome if there was sending animations like imessage and telegram.Other than this,this app is great.Edit: I've used this app for 2 months and i still love it.But i would love the Active status option,and typing animation.Remember,the only thing keeps kakao on top from whatsapp and telegram is appearance and user-friendlyness.So dont mess it up.PLS FIX CANT CREATE GROUP ISSUE.

Very Very Bad I contacted the support twice because i couldnt join open chats eventough i just downloaded the app. twice they just sent me a copy paste message with a useless informstion. i really cant recommend this app. there are so many better apps out there...

I just downloaded the app and ofc created an account, but I can't join this feature called 'open chat'. There's a notice that appears in my screen saying, "you are currently not allowed to join open chats in accordance with our user protection policy". I don't understand if it's something I done or what, cause there's no explanation either. Please let me understand.

i can't login because of the new login method. When i send the message it doesn't get verified. Kakaotalk was a great app before these new updates when it used to send codes like any other app. I lost all my friends and i hope this problem get solved.

Rubbish cheap WhatsApp knock-off. Weird verification where you have to send them a message which costs money like why don't you just do ask for a simple code to be entered like everyone else lol. Poor interface poor quality voice calls just avoid if you can.

Why I cannot heard any voice call or video call? All notifications is on and I can hear the messages notifications. There is no ring even it's set ON.

Having hard time with verifying my number. Dont like the option to send the text to the 2 phone numers. No way to change that. Cant even find email for support.

kakao talk is okay, the stickers are cute and so many themes to choose from but i just want this app not to delete the data when you uninstall and install the app. don't you want some memories to reminisce? ㅋㅋ i hope for the next update there will be no deleting the whole conversation when uninstalling the app

I really like This app so much but there's a problem i can't seem to understand the "protection policy" i wanted to talk to ppl's who are in kakotallk but it won't let me do it ? The other person have to text me before I do otherwise I won't be able to talk so 3/5 if anyone can help me resolve this issue it will help me lot thankyou :)

i like it at first but now i restart my phone and down load it again now i cant even log in back it sending the verification code to different phone number even i keep changing and restart it nothing change i dont know what happened to my phobe number even trying to different phone still nothing change i hope they fix it

I used it for 5 years and recently updated to a new phone and been trying to reset my account and there is no sort of customer support to help reset your account. Why cant this app send a verification code to your email or phone to reset your password like other apps? I cant find a representative to talk to to reset my account. I know my account email and the phone number as my number didnt change but all of a sudden its asking me for my nickname?

I've been trying to login to my account with the correct information but it keeps saying email and password do not match. I've tried changing my password but it is of no use. I tried contacting the customer service but mails keep failing to be delivered. I didn't have a good time in this app.
