I love this app, it is great for a beginner and as a musical game. I gave only 4 stars because it is sometimes a bit slow, the user interface lacks a bit of intuitiveness and when you compose the tabs you can't repeat periods (or at least I didn't manage to understand how to do that), then other minor things about the responsiveness. But I also know the developers always update it and I really appreciate that, this is why I wanted to give some constructive feedback. Keep up with the good work!
It was okay. Song choices (tutorial/guide) are super limited (not all are on tune) One of the most usable digital kalimba (I've looked for apps but this is the closest to the actual) as of yet. Downside is you can't save settings with this version and everytime you play, there's ads. Guess it's the developer's way for you to buy the full version. —you also can't exit the app with the back button. Works with home button then task killer—it's a hassle if you'd ask me.
I think it is a great app, helps you visualize what you are doing and, it is a very complex thing to create a tablature if you are not instructed in musical theory, so for complete neofites still some extra guidance is needed. Love the fact that u can create midi files and pdf to export, it would be great if u guys make a section with some basics for total beginners.
This is a great app for either composing or just playing around. I love the distortion effects, if I get it just right it makes some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. The only complaint I have is that the UI is kinda hard to understand and navigate, but once you get the hang of it it's manageable. Hats off to the developers for making a top notch music app.
cannot retune the key major according to c = do major for easy learning the tabs. if this app could retune every song from others tune to c=do, this will be so perfect. hope this app will be fixed soon. another app they could retune, so we still could play the tabs in c major. but the other side, others app is very week quality of song arrangement. just only provide melody.
great app but everything resets itself when you leave it. once you've left the app, the tuning resets and the key labels are reset.... not going to keep changing everything every time I want to play, unfortunately moving on from this app.....
not a lot of Ads except one after you Play a Song sometimes every 2 or 3 songs it pops up. the selection if music is short but there are a lot of different songs so the selection makes up for it. good app
It's really useful to learn new songs! You can even use your real kalimba instead of the apps kalimba. The app then records your sound and tells you if you played the right note for the song you are trying to learn. It feels a little bit like guitar hero for kalimba. Would recommend it for everybody!
Incredible! The high amount of detail in the app guarantees its spot in my phone or any android I customize. The sound is soothing and relaxing. 20/10
This app is lit. Before I bought my first Kalimba, I had this app to exercise my thumb and learn new songs. When I finally bought one, I am still using this to learn new tricks which I can try on the actual Kalimba. Gave four stars anyway because I can't seem to download the tabs offline, bunch of annoying ads and a few list of songs.
It is a very useful app if you don't have the instrument. Although could you add basic lessons so we could play it more easily. But overall, it's a great app!!
The sounds are a bit off and the 'songs' parts is hard to play. Would not recommend it for anyone, especially beginners.
Excellent. I like that I can practice my real kalimba with the song notes laid out and easy to read.
Much better note recognition than kalimba connect! I just wish it had as many songs available as connect. Or at least maybe if you could import non smf files since i find it oretty hard to find a cinverter for that on mobile, otherwise itd be 5 stars
There are 0 directions on how to play it, what notes do I hit first when there are several on the line?!?! I'm not a musician I can't read music, but it seems like you took something that could be easy and fun to learn and made it very difficult for an average American.
Most of the time the sound is broken. Rarely produces smooth sound. I have another kalimba app so the problem is not with the device.
Love this... I use it to learn songs on my actual kalimba, as well as practice when I'm not with my instrument at home... Muscle memory requires practice... And this allows for accurate practice and skill building... While remaining fun and relaxing...
I like the app, but Its getting really annoying when I'm playing, then suddenly an ADS pops up!! Like seriously!! Can you not do that??? Its freaking annoying! Grrrrh!!
its really great to make your own tabs in a free app... i think you just need to improve the graphics a little bit
There's lag on the input. Making it almost impossible to practice with :/ it at least helps compose though.
I absolutely love this app but just an idea.. Have different reverb profiles.. Like studio, church, drum room etc.. Just an idea
Very Bad!!!!! So slow, cannot touch well and the time of sound is so short. I gonna uninstall it now. Very Bad!!
I apparently didn't notice extra options updated on this bad boy! What a stellar app! If I can get chromatic key options for this I would be in heaven!
So far the only kalimba app the lets you make tabs and export to both midi and pdf. the ads get annoying though but still useful
This app is already amazing! Great resource for kalimba players out there, especially those who don't own one already. The app is a little bit clunky at times, but for something free it has a LOT of functionality and works like a charm. Only major request for the developers is to add a save button (or move it to be visible, I didn't find one) when making a tab, and the keys when playing sometimes don't register. Otherwise it's perfect, no complaints.
