Interesting app that is quick to get calculations for Lapua ammo. My interest is 22lr which is at the short end of the range for this app. It is set up for long range shooting for hundreds of yards. 22lr is classically under 200yd. Tables only output in full inch increments which limits precision work. At pistol ranges, it is useless to report only in full inches. If they would output info to hundredths of an inch, the app would be quite good for 22lr.
If this app doesn't work well for you the problem is not the app! The problem must be the device or the user. It is very user friendly and extremely accurate for every cartridge and load That I have tried. I have used it for fellow shooters at the range and got them on target out 1000 yards when the information that they were using would not. My only problem is finding a device, to use it on, that is easy to see in bright sunlight.
I cant get spin drift or coriolis to work on this app. and it only shows one distance at a time. so you would have to calculate each distance at a time. TOTAL GARBAGE.
Great app. A few bugs when entering data but for the most part it work flawlessly. The only problem is I don't think there is a way to apply a scope corection factor.
App is fantastic, all the data is spot on but I do use Lapua reloading materials and Vit powder. In all conditions the ballistic table produced is very accurate. I shoot a Tikka Tac A1 in 260 rem.
this app does not work well on a galaxy s8. The app will not allow editing of already inputted load data. Very poor.
Great app for precision shooting . Still learning all the applications but this app is about an you need.
Accurate for sight in and field shooting
Wants access to everything on your phone bad idea!!!!
It be nice to see impact in inches drop.
Horrible app, deleting it immediately!
Not clear what to do once in the app. Uninstalled.
No 300 or 6.5 PRC data even though N568 is recommended by them for these!???
Very promising!
I used to think this app was great. But it is feature limited for bullets other than lapua. So for my lapua rounds I can use this app, but for my other rounds I must use another app. Might as well just use the other app.
Wind drift increases until half of the range and then decreases again downrange until it's zero? Do Lapua make magic bullets..? Interface is really frustrating, not intuitive.
The best!!!
Very slow on Nexus 6P. And I mean VERY.
Great and useful app. ... almost everything you could want from a ballistic computer ... and really good response from dev. Team
Great app, especially for free! I wish the custom reticle allowed for true customisation like BDC and so forth.
Need update to use the phone sensors GPS temperature barometric presure etc at selected mode. The Internet weather station is not correct. Also a shooting table with adjustable step. Need to stay at last distance after program exit. Air pressure also as mmHg. Coriolis latitude need also update from GPS phone sensor . The small windows need to make sircle not only forward and back. Drain the battery.. The evaluation continues.
A good start, but could be a lot better. As mentioned in previous comments, it would be nice to see Berger bullets listed. Second, even with Imperial as default, the elevation and windage remains metric. Other than that, it's a rather intuitive program and is no different than any other free program. They should have consulted Bryan Litz before releasing this program.
This program is full of problems when used in imperial mode. The solution given is nearly 2x off what it should be. You have to enter the bullet weight in grams even in imperial mode. It give outputs in clicks and inches instead of mils or MOA. Pressure jumps in full inHg in the HUD, which is way too coarse. It's half-baked. Not even basic testing was done in imperial mode before it was released. EDIT: The developper response still does not explain why the solution is nearly 2x off. It gives me 12.4 mils for a solution that should be around 6.9 mils. Also, I enter 3100 fps. for the MV. The solution tables show 2625 fps.
The good side of it, is that its free, but alot harder to use than applied ballistics app. But how ever time will tell once Ive tried both side by side
This is a good app if you only shoot Lapua bullets. However, I shoot Berger, Sierra, and hornady along with Lapua and would prefer to not have to switch between programs depending on caliber. If they add a more encompassing bullet library I'll probably change this to a 5 star.
I would think that since Lapua acquired Berger Bullets, they should be listed. They aren't.
I am not impressed with it so far.
I use this App exclusively when on the range and during hunting. Not because it is my favorite colour, but because it is the easiest to use and is a high quality App. I have converted a number of fellow sportsmen, including my wife, to use it. The only negative point is that the App calculates Trajectory Tables and does Stability Estimation for Lapua bullets only. Would like it to do so for other brands as well. Johann (South Africa).
