letgo: Buy & Sell Used Stuff

When I try to open LetGo it tells me to download OfferUp. When I open OfferUp I get a prompt saying they don't serve areas outside of the US. Thanks for breaking both apps! I keep getting notifications on how the price went down only to see the price went up. People make a discount and change the price back up immediately. Maybe fix it?

Never works. Over the years i never could use it without a problem there is always this "connection problem try again later" dude i have been trying for years enough already fix it i changed phones and stuff

Keeps freezing and even when it works it takes several minutes to open an item.

Why do you I keep seeing blocked people's listings!!???!!!??? Some people put hundreds of similar things in their listings. (and those people are usually shop owners) and that makes letgo impossible to use. I've mailed about this last year and nothing has changed since then. Really, how hard is it to REALLY fix this bug? And don't reply to me, asking to write mail to some other department of yours. Just do it yourself if you want to have a usable app.

Angry at app I tried to post what I'm selling and it kept say error can't post and try again I did click like 50 times I fed up!

Where the hell my messages are going ? I barely found things here and when i back from product page this trash app goes refresh automatically.

The pictures are terrible. It's pretty important to have a good image of what you're buying but they're all blurry and compressed for no reason. 5 Miles has good picture quality. So does offer up. Why? Also sellers are sketchy and in lot of the time. Chat is laggy. The user interface is pretty messy and irritating to navigate also. Lots of room for improvement.

I would love to use this app. I have had multiple very fast expensive Android phones that work perfect with every other app. Only let go and offer up continually fail without ceasing when I try to create ads. I am so fed up with trying that I'm not going to try anymore. Somebody who works there may contact me to let me know they finally fixed the problem. This has been ongoing for over a year. Perfect reception and even on my desktop PC! Sad to give a negative review. Bur this is so necessary.

The app is great for selling items. I sold quite a few things. But after a few months I started getting notifications several times a day to the point where I uninstall the program. I then reinstalled it because I had some more things to sell. Nothing sold but the notifications multiplied. They got very aggravating. Several a day for no reason even if I went in the settings and turned off all notifications. Too bad because the app is great but the notifications are super annoying

I have one major issue with this app. They place the Ask For Details button at the bottom of the screen which gets accidentally pressed when I'm attempting to bring up the Android navigation menu. Since the message is automatically sent, it alerts the seller that I'm interested when I was just looking. How about making people press, "OK" before sending messages to others. I'd also like to see a price listed next to each photo while in the browsing items grid. That way I don't have to click on the item to get that important info.

Terrible merger of these 2 apps! Almost all search results, are very old (lots of 2019 posts!) and hardly any results at all! Often 0-3 results. I do live in a rural area but not far from 4 cities and between 2 states. This wasn't a problem at all with Letgo! Also, I was in the middle of purchase when the merger happened. I've since lost the deal and I've been checking daily to find it again but with ZERO results for the item or seller! The seller/item has just disappeared! Thanks a lot!!!

The idea is great, but the execution is bad. It's easier to navigate than Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but the notification system is awful. You get a ton of "marketing" notifications for things you might be "interested" in...even if you disable them. It's also really bad about doing things automatically without explicit user permission like auto-selecting "feature listing" (which costs money) when you create a listing, or sending people automated messages on your behalf just because you "favorited" an item. It could be great, and I have had success with it, but it's more annoying than useful a lot of the time.

I have been successfully using this app for two years (and would totally rate it 5+ based on that) and had a great experience until recently. Having problems with the app itself. It takes forever to load, switch from one function to the next, most times fails to load entirely. Very frustrating. I had to switch to using the website on the PC which is very inconvenient. Tried uninstalling and installing again - no luck.

I dislike that listings expire. It makes the app really high maintenance. Also the search function is terrible. "White bookcase" will give you everything white, books, or case. Many results have nothing to do with what you're search was for originally. Also once your photo is posted, it zooms in, so it looks nothing like the photo you took. That's super annoying. There's also a lot of ads in the feed.

Way too pushy. I turned off all notifications but kept receiving notifications. Each time I got a notification I went into the options and made sure that all notifications were off. I noticed that a few were turned back on each time I went into the options. It is also incredibly annoying that you cannot type in a distance radius to look for stuff. Your options are 1, 5, 10, or unlimited miles away. This app is absolute trash.

I stopped using this app half a year ago, because of the instability and by the looks of it, nothing has changed. Another thing, tried it again. Not only I get the same glitches as before, but now the search engine doesn't work well. For example, I may type drawing board, but I get boogie boards, or surf boards, or plywood or anything else that it suggested you... Like it goes off a tangent. I get everything but drawing related items. Again this based on my experience.

I have attempted to meet with buyers and have been no-showed every time. Not even a courtesy message. Not worth my time waiting in a parking lot trying to be at their convenience. Messages seem like they don't send and message notifications come in whenever they feel like. This makes communication very difficult and impossible to keep the conversation in the app. I have connected to wifi and still nothing is different. Maybe if he app had a call feature, it might help. Constant no shows!

My biggest irritation is the change Letgo made to the ability to browse items that are 'popular near you'. Instead of seeing the next item in line, it switches to items that are similar or related to the first item you looked at. I literally have to type in a specific word and look at things in categories instead of being able to look at all sorts of items regardless of category. WE USE TO BE ABLE TO DO IT. And it was a feature I truly loved because OfferUp's search feature was terrible. Now, just like OfferUp, we have to look at a picture then click out to go back to the main page just to see the next picture in line. Its extremely irritating and time consuming which is why I barely use the app anymore. The chat also glitches quite frequently, and doesn't send messages through at at times.

Overall the app is pretty decent. One thing that is really frustrating is that the text boxes to chat with folks about items is always pre-filled and I have to manually remove the text to type what I want. The quick reply feature is nice, but would be much better if the field wasn't pre-filled. It also drives me nuts that the keyboard doesn't default to sentence case.

The app was great but way too many notifications now. Also, not crazy about paying $1.99 (July 2018) to feature my ad only for it to NOT be featured. To this day I am still trying to get a credit or my $1.99 returned (it's the principle). Very frustrating! Only because I did have good past experiences do I even deal with them at all! That may soon change, we will see.

Very poorly designed app. For how much they waste on commercials you'd think the app would be a bit more refined. You have to continually select newest first, or it selects most relevant automatically, which is never even remotely relevant to anything you've searched or bought. I still haven't figured how to post more than one picture for a listing, nor have many other people, so you'll see multiple listings for the same thing with a different picture. Most people use another app that links.

There is a button to contact the seller embeded in the preview icons on the category listing pages and it generates a lot of inadvertent messages when pressed unintentionally while scrolling through the listings. Most people are oblivious to the fact that they have pressed it and as a result I waste a lot of time dealing with messages expressing interest in my listing. An undo button pops up but disappears in less time than it takes the user to realize they've initiated a chat. I've messaged the developers complaining about the placement of the button and how it wastes seller's and user's time when they have to deal with what amounts to spam generated by a poorly designed user interface. The only response I've received to this feedback is an automated one. I have no issues with the rest of the features of this app but dealing with false leads (95% of all messages received) on account of this interface flaw is by far the most annoying thing about letgo. I'll gladly change my 1 star rating if this issue is addressed.

Honestly, LetGo's design and functionality is probably the best out of all the other competitors (Craigslist, OfferUp, etc.). The real downside to this app is that its search engine is INCREDIBLY inaccurate. The results I get when searching for items are 50/50; half of the time I get search results for things that aren't even REMOTELY related to what I search for! As much as I like the innovation on this app, I think I'll keep sticking to OfferUp since their search results are more precise.

It's a cool concept but the in app messages rarely go through. Just yesterday I had a buyer, while were trying to organize a pickup, the messages stopped going through. This is has been going on for several months. Both the app and my phone (Galaxy s9) have been updated properly. Either the developers aren't aware of the issue or they just dont care.
