Keeps turning off by itself even though Bluetooth is connected. Super annoying to have to reconnect app (to access iheartradio, Yelp, Alexa, etc.) EVERY time you get in the car. Lexus' technology is great, it's a shame they can't get this app to work properly. UPDATE: it's worse every day. So frustrating. Response I got was to email them and when I did they told me to call them. I don't have time to call and troubleshoot. Clearly there is an issue with the app and it just needs to be fixed!
Since the first app didn't work properly, i downloaded this one and its even worse. My phone is connected to the car and i can use it no problem. However, the app just keeps asking me to connect it. It won't go past the set up page. I've followed all the videos and links to the t. I've given the app all the permissions possible. I can make calls and see my contacts, so its clearly connected but the app just won't work. Job well done. 3 apps and not a single one works properly. Should be 0 stars
******** Update 1/19/2020 ******** Lexus released an update on 1/14, version 1.1.9. Before I discuss the lasted update, to recap and add some more details since my last post: I revisited the issues I was having (after connecting to the car once, subsequent connections would not re-initiate most of the time: tried on multiple phones, reset the car, etc, all to no avail). I ended up scheduling Tasker to kill all the tasks when the car Bluetooth was no longer detected and to start them again when detected again. This solved the problems I was having. However, since the update to version 1.1.9, I disabled Tasker. And so far, it seems that the handful of times I have been in the car (about 8) the apps are successfully re-connecting. If all continues well I'll bump my review up to 3 stars. Now if we could just get an Android Auto update for the 2019 NX I would be very happy! ******** Original 12/27/2019 ******** I'm not sure what I think about reading that there will be an all-in-one app. I am glad there will be consolidation, as this piecemeal user experience is pretty awful. But I am not sure I even want to be using Enform more than for the remote services -- but Alexa can take care of that most of the time. Pertaining to the connectivity issues, I've found that if I use the app selector and swipe to close the Enform app after each trip, then 99% of the time it reconnects correctly the next time I'm in the car. Not a particularly good user experience, but it works. Hoping there is an update to get Android Auto on my 2019 NX ! Even simple screen casting would be a great thing, though I think most of would would prefer Android Auto. In the meantime I'm using an old iPhone from a family member with no cell service and just wifi in order to have a better experience in the car -- but that is a ridiculous solution that I hope I can do away with soon.
This is a horrible, useless app! Ended up uninstalling it but every time I charge my phone in my car I get this annoying reminder to install it and no matter how many times I hit Cancel, it comes back! I don't care for the horrible and non-user friendly navigation app - that's what Google Maps or other much better apps you have on your smart phone are for. Stop the madness, Lexus!!! This may actually make me consider a different car maker in the future!
Bad. The App crashes every time I try to update. I have a Samsung Galaxy and the App simply is the worst. Good for nothing but creating conflicts with my phone every time I plug a cable to the USB
For some reason when I run the enform app and connect to the vehicle (NX300) and start iHeart radio, within the first 2 minutes it'll stop working. It'll give me the error telling me that the inform app suite has to be running. When I check it still is connected. I have to disconnect and reconnect to get the same results. Hoping the new update fixes that issue!
****UPDATE**** I read in a blog & found the answer to this problem. delete any personal data, turn engin off and on... then proceed to load the App. Where it would stall at installing 36% and fail... it then completed as I assume by design. Bravo. I'm happy to have ridden the chore of dealing with it every start but as an Android user I wait for CarPlay Doesn't work.. keeps wanting to install, then fails..annoying message every time you start the car you have to cancel it! What a headache @
Tried to install it several times. It tells me that I should visit the dealership as there is no such vin. Lol. Annoying, because it also automatically changes settings once connected. Sucks!
As an engineer, this app is simply awful. Three different apps required (that rarely function consistently) for a far inferior product than Android auto and apple pay (the later which is held behind a paywall). Good luck trying to navigate any of these features unless you're parked; once after it glitches (which it will).
Alexa should have never been an option to download on cars built before 2018 if lacking the full services. I have a 2015 Lexus NX. Alexa can't send directions to the NAV system, can't access my contacts to call people, doesn't have wazes or Pandora. I was literally driving around this weekend using these different assistance (Google on my phone for wazes; Lexus' crappy assistant to make calls and Alexa). Lexus, I am going to need you to do better.
Absolutely useless. If you're looking for an app that will provide you and your car with services that nobody wants or asked for then this is the app for you. When my lease is up my next car will 1000% not be a Lexus. No Android auto, no ability to remote start or monitor the vehicle... It does nothing useful
I have a 2019 UL Lexus ES 350. I went into Enform 2.0 to look for Destination Search. A feature that allows you to enter an address or POI by your smartphone and transfer it to the vehicle. I could not find it available in Enform. Has it been discontinued in 2019? Otherwise, like others, I find Enform fragmented and piecemeal when it should all be under one app and more easily instructed as well as specifically delineated...
Wish Lexus would integrate all of their apps into one. Disappointed that I need to have FIVE separate apps (Lexus, Enform App Suite 2.0, Lexus Roadside Service, Lexus + Alexa, myLFS) using more phone storage than is neccessary just for my vehicle functions. Please add Spotify and more Android compatibility options. Also wish that Lexus would bring the Dashcam Viewer options to the US.
I got a new phone and had to download the updated app. Now my car won't connect completely with my phone (although i can make phone calls) and i have to run my music through a different app which takes more time. This app is useless.
This app is so damn annoying, I'm a software engineer myself and this wasn't test very well cause it constantly nags you with notifications when screen rotates or if I'm watching YouTube. Just spend 40k on a new car that has to use this app to sync.🤦♂️
I have a 2020 ES350 and can't download any apps via Enform Suite 2.0. Your description confirms I should have access to different apps such as iHeartRadio, NPR, etc and I don't. I only have access to Alexa. I have tried everything possible to attempt to figure out the problem and can't. Spoke to a representative and was advised Lexus removed the apps. But why! Said because we can use apps through bluetooth, Lexus removed it. RIDICULOUS! I WANT MY APPS!
this app is garbage! i have to reconnect everyone i get into my car. Lexus has taken their technology backwards a decade! It has been a year since I started using this app. Lexus promised to have their system compatible with Android. Is there any word about this improvement?
I love all the canned replies, "That doesn't seem right..." yes, yes it does; when you have 1.5 stars and 30 people in a row saying the same things... you worked really hard for it. I'm having all the same issues, too many updates, interruptions. I bet the Chinese car market has a better ap.
Horrible app. Opens and shuts down every time i start my car. Uninstalled it and now it gives me a pop-up message asking if i want to install the app whenever i plug my phone into the charger. LEXUS, I would expect a high-end app for the money we spend on your vehicles.
This app constantly runs in the background. I only installed this to try the new Alexa compatibility (separate app, which requires this one too). Bottom line is that this app is horribly made. Not worth it. Deleted.
No matter what I do I cannot get it to connect. Even though I have Bluetooth on and connected to the car. Also, removing Pandora made this app worthless as well. Uninstalled.
just purchased my 2019 NX and had to download this app, and I HATE IT! it doesnt help with anything, I liked the previous design better. I was told I could use my android phone(galaxy note 8) once I plugged in my USB and downloaded this, and still nothing! it's useless, just an app that waste your battery life.
What a terrible app. Was trying to use the notorious scout GPS app for navigation, it won't work instead redirected me to this app. You know what first thing I found out is my 2017 IS is not even supported so I am now stuck in Limbo. Lexus surely disappoints at least from app perspective.
please fix. the App is horrible. always want to open on top of other apps. i can run youtube with le app if my phone is charging. the scren wants to show the app. i cannot see anything but the app or gs scout. also the connection to the car is horrible it fails. makes you hate your lexus. please please fix theses issues
No apps show up, only Alexa. Have tried to uninstall and re-install, and if had know Waze does not work with this app or Android Auto it would have been a complete deal breaker.
the worst platform ever made with the worst lexus entertainment system installed in the model car. If i can only return the car without penalty. this will be first and last lexus i n my garage. (-5 star).
Doesn't do anything but interfere with my phone's Bluetooth connection with the car. It does nothing else. It just tells me I'm connected, then disconnected, over and over again.
anytime ANY other app access the blue tooth this app opens. it drains battery and does nothing more than enable your phone to connect to your car. which bluetooth does anyways. useless App.
Well.. I bought a luxury car and expected this suite of apps would enhance my experience What a sorry experience..I would give it 0 stars if I could Shame on Lexus developers for offering this bunch of nothing.. . Plus one more point..Android auto offers more than this app..plus I am surprised you can not use the Suite of apps ( in my case only Alexa) and Android auto Also why only Google maps and not Waze..my Hyundai Santa Fe offers both
Terrible! If I could give less than 1 star I would. What app says it can't connect to Bluetooth on my phone unless all other BT devices are disconnected first. That is never going to happen since my car is automatically connected to the BT along with my smartwatch. This app is so fickle it is unsafe. You are constantly trying to connect, while distracting your driving. It is a useless app, since 90% of the time it can never connect. Lexus owners deserve a better piece of software!
