Light Meter

_▒▓▒_ Light Meter _▒▓▒_▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Professional light intensity (lux) meter for your device. It measures illumination levels in lux.
Features:───────■ direct reading in lux■ 0 to 1000lux in 2 ranges■ up to 300000lux in 4.4+■ automatic range change■ support for neutral filters■ custom sensor calibration■ sensor linearity correction option■ alternative display in fc (foot-candles)■ display of light color temperature in K (available only on some devices)■ integrated photo exposure meter■ integrated graphing function■ realistic vintage analog look■ tablet support■ 8 case skins■ HD graphics■ free

NOTE:─────This app requires devices with a light sensor. It uses native light sensor data acquisition that gives accurate and instant light intensity reading. This type of native data acquisition is available for many supported devices.

Other devices are also supported by the built-in compatibility mode but the accuracy and the speed of light intensity reading may be limited and custom calibration is required for correct reading under compatibility mode.

Custom calibration procedures are described on the following page:

http://trajkovski.net/lmeter/support.html

Also, on some devices the light sensor may not be linear, not continuous and measuring errors will occur or the maximum measuring range may be limited. This is not app's fault.

This app also provides a light color temperature measurement in K (degrees Kelvin) that is only supported on devices with color light sensor. On all other devices the display shows n/a (not available).

Light brightness (LUX or LUMENS) and Light Temperature (Frequency) readings match an older light meter I used for film photography. The accuracy of the app depends on the phone used. On my Pixel 3a it stunk. With my Samsung Galaxy it was very accurate. Great app. Light temperature is not a reading of heat, its a reading of frequency. This not a Spot meter. If you want a spot meter buy an old Weston Spot Meter.

Decent app. Nice UI. Two issues. 1) Meter uses front-facing camera. Need to be able to use rear camera so phone can be aimed at light source while being able to see the screen. 2) Color temperature is off by a factor of 10 - example, 5000K daylight is displaying as 500K. Need to add a zero at the end.

Thank You Very much and a MERRY CHRISTMAS to You. Gee, your App is awesome. Some real thought went into it. Sofisticated and made simple. And very accurate. I use it for mainly my CUV interior and exterior LED and HID lights, both the Kelvin for the Colour temps and the Lux lumens measurements. You app gives it all! I also like the SAVE a reading feature. Is not the Cell Phone an incredible device. For me it's the apps. Voice/Txt are a low priority. Thanks again.

The text in the message box below the meter does not scale correctly on my Samsung Tab S3 (1536 x 2048 pixels) - all I see is "ILLU-" as first line, and the top 2/3 of "MINATION:" in the 2nd line, nothing more. (The pic of the meter could have higher resolution, but that is only a cosmetic problem).

Very good app. Tested in two android phones. In Galaxy s67 edge both lux and colour temperature are displayed and mostly accurate. In one plus 3 phone only lux displayed and colour temperature shown as N/A..I think if developer list phone models with full functionality / lux only could help users.

There is no setting to use any camera other than the selfie camera, which makes it really awkward to use. Also, the lux reading always matches the color temperature reading, so something isn't being measured properly. It's basically useless as a result.

Nice looking app. Love the retro look and easy functionality. Only issue was the red needle on the analog guage kept disappearing but that may have more to do with my old (S3) phone than the app. Love it.

UI is beautiful. Love the meter! Very nice layout. But, color temperature does not work on my Moto Z Droid running Android 8.0.0. A definite 5 star rating if the color temperature worked.

Cute toy. No widget and you need to goto the settings to tweak a bit. Without tweaking the lux level was way off. I was right next to my light and it gave me only a 57. Should have been much greater with a new phone next to a direct light source. As I said though nice toy.

The retro, analog dial is a great counterpoint to the digital display. The display toggles between a handful of read-outs to include a live graphical indicator of the available light telling progress through time.

Developer is confused between lux and light temperature. They display as multiples of each other when they're not even remotely related. Worthless for measuring light temperature.

Clean and simple app that works as advertised. Would have given five star rating if there were not any adds in the app. I would rather pay for the app than to look at adds.

I have seen 45 yrs ago this type of meter in one imported camera & today I just remembered, so I tried on play store & I got it, which I didn't expected at all. So thanks a lot. Keep it up.

I'm not sure if app is working properly on my Note 20 Ultra because the Lux measurement value is always the same as the Kelvin (K) measurement value, eg. 3 lux, 3K; 4 lux, 4K, etc. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Great, easy to use, provides clear differences among different light sources.

App works good. But, out should give us the option to remove adds with a small fee and up the scale to x100 lux.

Light color is always NA. Not sure how to fix it, or may be you need to calibrate it first and I don't have anything to calibrate it with

Lux and CT wrong I saw some reviews saying the lux and CT were the same. I was looking for something just for colour temp but that's wrong on here too.

Dav. K. May 4, 2021

I really don't feel this works. The closer the light the temperature changes higher and obviously lux changes too. Shouldn't temp be the same regardless of lux?

Ker. C. Feb 24, 2021

Very close to the same readings as my dedicated light meter, and it's always with me.

It measures daylight at 2900k on my Samsung S10. Miles out of calibration so useless to me.

It's amazing in cellphone we measuring Light intensity and temperature

Ste. A. Jan 10, 2022

How is it possibile that the light temperature is changing based on the distance and the strength of the light source? 2500 K is 2500k, no matters what

Color temp reading does not work on Pixel 3 - also seems to be using the selfie camera and not the main camera.

Excellent little app. Trajkovski, thank you for excepting my suggestions about some functionalities and updating this nice app.

Does not work well in low level lighting. This may also be a hardware issue. LG G7.

Chr. L. Nov 5, 2018

Only 2 stars, as the color temp function is NOT working anymore after oreo update on Samsung S7. Please provide a fix

Mar. G. Dec 3, 2021

Colour temperature is way off for higher Kelvin values. Measures 3000k when it's actually 9000k. Seems about accurate measurement for 2000k. Brightness measure seems fine.

Doesn't work on Samsung A21. Only get adverts to waste my data. Have uninstalled.

Rubbish ... Why so many reviews saying it works & it does absolutely nothing & that's after changing settings
