LINE: Free Calls & Messages

Well, it's hard to judge Line from a western point of view : as it's often customary in Japan, there are so many options and functionalities... Which makes the app heavier and perhaps less intuitive than a western style app. People sometimes just want to text and send photos in two or three taps. But overall, it's a very good app in many regards.

I absolutely love this application, but many times happens that the calls are really bad, and the notifications don't show up so it seems like I'm ignoring people when i just didn't receive the notification. Besides, when I installed Line for the first time, it gives me the typing option, like WhatsApp, where you can see when a person is typing. and I was wondering why this option can't be restored.

Terrible. Gets more bloated and unusable every year. I have a modern, high end phone and line crashes frequently. Also notifications seem bugged and don't disappear after viewing a message. Line for business is also complete garbage, and I missed vital messages from clients. All this was ok because line lite used to exist, but that's over with and all we have left is this bloated mess of an app. But no choice but to use it because everyone else does.

I have been using this app for several years now and never had problems ,but after the latest update I have been having none stop issues with video and voice calls when connected to Bluetooth. It does not connect to my car, speaker, headphones or any Bluetooth device. I have asked other people that use LINE and they are all having the same issue. Please fix this as soon as possible, thank you.

Well, it was relatively decent but it has been degrading in quality over time. The ads and limitations in voice chat and group chat settings. The non-intuitive way of saving chat logs. The constant barrage of micro transactions for emotes, is all too much. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was this latest update disconnects my headset during video calls. That's no bueno.

I used to love this app, but now it will not connect to bluetooth devices from Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3. The same earbuds and car will not connect. All other apps like Whatsapp, Spotify, calls are working fine. I've reinstalled the app, gone through all the phone settings, app permissions, and researched the help center. This used to work with the exact same phone and car. Please help! I think we need a patch or an update from the developer.

Line does NOT support Bluetooth devices on Android. Symptom is that while connected to a Bluetooth device, you can hear audio on Line calls (after tweaking advanced call settings... disabling openSL, NORMAL mode and disable HD audio) BUT Line uses the phone's microphone and NOT the Bluetooth device's mic. This can be replicated by using the Test Call feature. As others have mentioned other apps work. Are they actually QAing this app on Android? It doesn't seem like it. Disappointed.

I have used this app for years and suddenly it won't even load. Get a flash of the start up screen and that's it before crashing. Up to date, Android, and just no beuno. Disappointed I can't connect with friends now.

Created a new account twice but still gives me errors like "Unable to process your request due to a connection error", "Access denied. Please confirm your authority and try again." and "Error An unknown error occured.". I even send a ticket to investigate but Line Customer Care responded to me that I have violated the terms and conditions which I didn't even use the application for 5 mins from creating it. Worst experience as a new user for this application.

This app is beautiful, and easy to use, but there are two things: 1- It's missing edit message function. Please add that in the next release for all platforms of LINE (PC, Mac, Android, iOS). 2- I am only allowed to be logged in one device/PC at a time. That's the most saddest thing I've noticed after using the app for the first time. Please allow multi-PC/device synchronization. (And for all platforms too) Thank you so much for this application.

When I click on "log in with phone number" the app immediately crashes. Reinstalled several times, factory reset the phone, all to no avail. The worst app in the history of the world, yet each update somehow makes it worse..... A ridiculous joke!

After the recent update, the app isn't able to function well at all. It keeps on restarting itself. The messages are coming but when I try to text back, the app keeps on force closing itself for unknown reasons. I tried reinstalling but the glitch is there. I hope the team attends to this problem ASAP. Also, when I try to make calls they keep on showing error and the call drops constantly. The updates are supposed to make the app function well not cause more trouble.

Bluetooth earbuds stops working with Line Call after upgrade, followed instructions in help center by turning off, OpenSL, Full HD, Normal mode, got back the audio by somehow it uses mic from the phone, not bluetooth, other app with call function works fine, so I guess something is wrong with Line app.

I use this app as the main messaging app as it is ubiquitous where I live. One feature I'm very frustrated about is the lack of ability to log into multiple devices at once. We don't all use only device and now that they have canceled Line Lite app there is no one for me to use one Line account across my multiple mobile devices. It is extremely inconvenient for me and having to log out wipe out the chat history, log back in, redownload chat history (without images sent or received) is not good.

** BLUETOOTH UPDATE ** The Bluetooth STOPPED working after update! I have checked every setting including taking it to the phone shop for tech support. Every other Bluetoothapp witks just fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the LineID app twice. I have tried the Bluetooth on 2 different vehicles that both worked before the update! All the permissions are set. I have cleared all the Cache and even the data (i.e. settings and files). I have ensured Bluetooth setting are correct also.

Annoyed that my Bluetooth headset worked for nearly 5 years of using the app, and woke one day to the function not accessible any longer. Have tried different headsets, and other apps, calls and media and it works fine with everything. Also irritated that no voice media or photos transfer to new devices. Maybe just time to call it quits with LINE and go to discord.

Edit: my Google pixel series a no longer works with the app. It used to work and now it is not detecting the Bluetooth device. It isn't the Bluetooth as it works fine for everything but this app Notifications no longer working properly unless I'm on wifi. It was working perfectly until recently. Now I'm not getting notifications for chats consistently AND chats aren't updating until I open the app. Do the developers want us to be staring at chats the whole day?

Use every day, it is very good. However, the app takes up far to much memory storage with facilities that I don't use at all. I would like a lite version, e.g. without "voom", "TODAY" and also "wallet".

Any handset bluetooth doesn't work at all after last update and quality for call/sound getting worse. I would like to use this app nearly 8 years but now very dissapointed, FIX IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!😤

I've read other comments and I can't say I relate. If anything, this app surpasses whatsapp and any other app I've used in user friendliness, efficiency, group chatting is very easy, and the ridiculous icons and emojis are absolutely hilarious. The calls are decent too. Over all I haven't had any issues. I would love it if there was an easier way to recover chats when transferring to another phone, but this might be my own lack of knowledge tech-wise. Awesome app 👍

This version 12.7.1 takes forever to load and takes forever to show new messages. Sometimes I have to exit the app a few times before it shows new messages and notifications. Very very annoying.

Ever since the update, Bluetooth does not work when I make voice or video call, and I get "ghost" notification after I've already checked the messages. The app does appear to run a little bit slow. I did email the dev with the Bluetooth problem 2 days ago, and I haven't received a reply yet. I am running this app on Note 20 Ultra.

I can not find the way to register my new number. I have 2 numbers on my phone, but I need to update to the new number. The backup to Google.. not working, hum! 2 very important things.. (the previous issue had no solution but it was possible to activate the second/double/app with the new number - hoops now it sttoped to access photos and can not read voice messages...

At first I was happy because this is my first time using this application. But when I entered a group, it was fine at first until one day I couldn't open the notes and albums! I don't understand because there is an error written in 'authority' and there is an error of unknown cause, furthermore I can't add friends with an unknown error record. I've tried my best to find a solution to the problem via google or youtube, but the results are nil and there is no tutorial to solve this problem.

I used to love this app but lately I don't get any notifications from the app and people calling me can't reach me because its not ringing. I don't get any information about messages, missed calls, uploads, anything. I have to open the app for the notifications to show up. I have changed my settings so nothing should have changed. I look for updates but nothing.
