Loop - Habit Tracker

Loop helps you create and maintain good habits, allowing you to achieve your long-term goals. Detailed graphs and statistics show you how your habits improved over time. The app is completely ad-free and open source.
Simple, beautiful and modern interfaceLoop has a minimalistic interface that is easy to use and follows the material design guidelines.

Habit scoreIn addition to showing your current streak, Loop has an advanced formula for calculating the strength of your habits. Every repetition makes your habit stronger, and every missed day makes it weaker. A few missed days after a long streak, however, will not completely destroy your entire progress.

Detailed graphs and statisticsClearly see how your habits improved over time with beautiful and detailed graphs. Scroll back to see the complete history of your habits.

Flexible schedulesSupports both daily habits and habits with more complex schedules, such as 3 times every week; one time every other week; or every other day.

RemindersCreate an individual reminder for each habit, at a chosen hour of the day. Easily check, dismiss or snooze your habit directly from the notification, without opening the app.

Optimized for smartwatchesReminders can be checked, snoozed or dismissed directly from your Android Wear watch.

Completely ad-free and open sourceThere are absolutely no advertisements, annoying notifications or intrusive permissions in this app, and there will never be. The complete source code is available under the GPLv3.

Lovely! Thanks so much, and for keeping it ad-free (& in f-droid), that's just very kind. I just wish to be able to modify, for specific tasks, the value that determines what is a good streak. For example set a good streak to 0.2 to have it reach 100% in a matter of a few weeks or months and 1.0 to have it reach 100% in a single occurrence, so 100% would be reached with 0.85 for 2 occurrences at 7 on a target of 10 on, say, Wednesday and Friday. Just example data, not sure if these are correct.

I love this tracker. It's very simple, has many functionalities without being too much, the various colors per habit are so bright and lovely it makes ithe main page so satisfying, the graphs are awesome, and there are a lot of great widgets for extra fun the one single I wish for is an option to start the week on Monday instead of Sunday.

Would have been perfect with a widget that allows us to see the same screen as the main screen of the app to get every habits and our completion through the actual week. And the hability to have habits like 10 pushups a day and if I only do 4 it's going to be 16 the next day ! Would be really really cool features !

Exactly what I was looking for! I really appreciate the minimalism, lack of ads, and focus on doing exactly one thing well - there's no unnecessary features, notifications, or bloat. I think the only thing I would request would be the ability to have partial credit on a task - not quite a skip, not quite complete, but that made *some* effort for the habit that day. eg: I might try to use my standing desk 2 hours each day, but some days I only get 1 hour. It wasn't my goal, but also wasn't zero!

Sometimes simple is better! I love the app design, it's so easy and efficient, and it does exactly what you need it to. I especially like the way this app, unlike others, puts your compiled data into a chart that helps you visualize your habit patterns. It's not cute looking or filled with extra features, which for me is great because I'm often distracted by superfluous app functions and designs.

This app is very useful. The interface is clean and simple, with little clutter on the screen. It has helped me become more organised and see what I've done during the weeks and months and where I need to maybe put in a bit more effort. The one thing I'd improve is maybe add the ability to have separate section. For example, maybe have the ability to create a separate section for exercise so you can easily see how many reps you've done. Other than that the app is excellent!

Nothing but good 🙂. Absolutely free, not freemium or trial: just good app design and super useful. Haven't been using it a long time, but it's easy to check in. Includes reminders, if you want it. Dark mode! Just very customizable, easy to use, nothing you need to work around. Has maybe 1-2 ads during setup, but easy to click away.

Simple and functional, does what it says on the box. One request: It would be nice to have an option to invert the function of the Checkmark widget; have the widget lit up and colorful when the habit is still "to do", and dull the widget once it's been marked. It's too easy for me to overlook an array of grey, transparent buttons.

The app is great! It's very straightforward and easy to learn. I love the sticky option that makes it so I have to interact with a task in order to dismiss it ("Yes" "No" "Remind me in...") instead of just swiping the notification away. My only issue is that there's no way to organize your tasks into groups/folders so it can get pretty messy. I'd like to be able to organize things by "Morning Routine," "Nightly Routine," etc. Otherwise, wonderful app!

I'm doing a Tour De Habit Trackers and this one is one of the best I've seen. Simple UI, but lets you do stuff like reorder really easily which is a feature that is weirdly missing in *many* of these apps. I need the ability to say "do xyz every Monday" rather than the more nebulous "once a week" that Loop allows, and also need to easily be able to do ad-hoc goals on top of my habits, but this app not having those things isn't really a failing since it's got a pretty narrow focus. Great for what it is- better than a lot of the paid options out there.

Pros: It does what it does pretty well. It's very intuitive. It's a very helpful tool and Android doesn't have many of them available. Cons: The widgets are oddly non-useful. The main screen of the app itselt is an overview of how you're doing on all of your habits. Perfect! But the widgets only show one at a time with no similar bird's eye view. Rather than use a widget, it's easier to just click on the app. What I'd like to see: Syncing between devices, though that might be a lot to ask of a completely free open source app. Since it is open source maybe someone else will run with that.

Truly free habit tracker, without ads. The main screen is very practical. Overall the whole app is clean and uncomplicated. Stats for single habit are nicely displayed. Only drawback is, you can't see stats for multiple habits at once. Only place where you see more habits than one is the main screen, where you can see only the last 4 days. Would be nice to be able to zoom out on that and scroll in this view, or have some stats page where you can somehow compare multiple habits

Could you add a feature to input a category tag to each habit, and then be able to filter by category? Filtering habits by color would be also nice. When you have many habits, it's hard to scroll down and this also makes it more organized. While I respect the apps privacy aspect, it feels like an accidental deletion, breaking my phone etc. easily erases all progress. If not cloud syncing, maybe a way to automatically and periodically export habit data and store it locally on the phone?

Has all the features I'd expect, and even more than that. As a notorious after-midnight-sleeper, I am especially happy to see that there's a feature which delays showing the next day until 3 AM. That's really awesome! It really feels almost like a steal that this app is completely free of ads and purchases, because it's simpler and better than many of the paid variants out there.

I really love that it's so simple and straight to the point, I don't want all the gimmicks in other apps. I like that you can customize reminders, and turn them off if you want. Changes to improve: 1. Would be to change the days from left to right instead of right to left; it's very confusing considering our calendars and words read left to right. 2. Remove the automatic checkmark outlines; it makes it visually messy & not all my habits are everyday.

The best habit tracker I've found. It's a simple interface and easy to visually see how you're doing on your goals this week (or over any period). Goals can be grouped by color for easy navigation and assessment (e.g. all exercise goals in green). Very motivating to see progress (or lack of it) and makes me "get real" about whether I'm sticking to my plan. Thanks so much for making this!

I think it is a great app, I recommend it to all my friends. Although some features need to be added. I would like to add notes to each day, so I would be able to reguster exactly what I did. For example for reading, If i read today i want a place to write" i read from page xx to xx". We also need to set specific days to complete a habbit. Ex I want to repeat a habbit for 60 day only. Thanks for the great app.

Great app! 10/10! I have just one improvement suggestion to the devs. I'd love to be able to set multiple reminders in a day for a habit. For instance, I'm trying to get myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day, but I'm only able to set one reminder, i.e. for 8am and once I mark 'yes' on it, I don't get any more reminders, unless I set one up every time I tick one, ofc. So that'd be an awesome feature to have. Otherwise, awesome app! Simple, efficient and very user friendly! :)

Fantastic app, with seemingly every possible detail you could want programmed. The only thing that I would like is a way to allow checkbox widgets for countable habits to increment by a given amount each time you click on them, instead of having to manually select a new number each time. Ideally negative amounts as well, for "bad" habits. Otherwise, pretty flawless execution.

The best habit tracker, and probably one of the top 10 of all apps on the web. You can't believe how much this developer has put into this app. It has so many variables. You can Mark things like shaving or brushing your teeth as completed, or you can turn around and make it a number value for example brushing your teeth 4 times a day. Whatever you want. You can make it for paying your bills., once it's marked completed, The Habit will disappear and remind you a month from now. No clutter!
