This app has never been the best, but I could at least view my cameras and review footage. But now, it shows my cameras as offline when I know for certain they are online. They've been "offline" since 5/24. It is most definitely an app issue and I need to be able to view my cameras that I paid a lot of money for. Update in response to Lorex: My recorder is hardwired via ethernet cable. It is not a network issue. It is an app issue.

Thanks for the update, I'll give it some time and write a new review... well the update didn't fix my issues. Still pretty terrible at replaying footage, very hard to use with no controls and kinda jumps around to random times. When I get a motion detecting, says "device removed" and won't play. And now recently 80%of my notifications don't actually alert me... I use a very common phone s10. I can't be the only one..... Response to network issue suggestion: hard wired connection, not the issue

Motion zone settings don't work. I am constantly getting notifications of people and cars, even when they are across the street or on the side walk, which I do not want. Also, I do not like that I can only be logged in to one device at a time to view the app. My wife and I each want to be able to see it at the same time on different devices without being told "Currently lorex home only allows you to be logged in on 1 device at a time." These issues are very annoying and I think easily fixable.

Motion zone settings not sticking. I have messed with the motion zones on the main system and in the app, but the app still detects people and cars walking on the sidewalk, which is a zone that I chose not to detect. So I was constantly getting events and notifications. AND now the problem today is Push notifications on the phone has now stopped working completely.

Your typical blame the customer response is not acceptable. My cameras are all hardwired by a trained engineer. I can view fairly normally on the laptop app, but have problems on wireless devices even inside the house with a full strength connection. Try again to explain your clunky app that won't list events, doesn't play the current event when clicking a motion notification, and reverts to the last half hour mark when I try to view events from the timeline without making it my fault.

This app worked great at first until the update. Prior to the update, I discovered that the Auto Night Vision was detecting everything, bugs, rain, and snow. I was forced to either turn off the ANV feature or turn off notifications. So, I disabled the ANV, and the system still worked great. After an update to the home app, the ANV feature was no longer available on the home app. No problems until a power bump forced a reboot of my system. The ANV feature is now active, and I can't disable it.

I can't see my cameras is the same issue every time error after error. I keep deleting app on my phone and download same. Your quality went down so bad! I couldn't applaud all those pictures. Don't make more products if it doesn't work. Fix your first one. If there's other people trying to buy this product don't buy it until they fix all those problems they have. Lorex was good I don't know what happened. Until they fix there problems on there system of error I'm not going leave a nice review!!

Horrible app. Using this for almost 2 years and the app is slow,, hard to get around and very seldom are you able to playback history of video footage. I won't be using for my next house. (Router is right beside. When reading other reviews Lorex reply is always some kind of excuse rather than ownership of the problem).

Going on 48 hrs now that app no longer works and just crashes when opened. All software and phone is latest versions. Tech support told me they were working on the issue??? Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work. I believe tech support doesn't know what is wrong and just lied to me about "working on it".

3/15/22 picture quality is excellent on the app. I had to keep rebooting my NVR from the app when my cameras were no showing up. I have my system plugged into an APC backup battery with my computer. So if the power goes out, they don't. I plugged the NVR into a different spot on the battery, this seems to have fixed the reboot issue for now. The app for Lorex is better than other camera apps. I am working on my 4th system. So far Lorex is better than the rest.

Contacted lorex tech support and they didn't resolve issue. The time in my events log has been incorrect. Time zone is correct. Disabled push notifications so I wouldn't receive delayed notifications. Nothing works. I even rebooted all cameras it worked for a minute then the time went back an hour on the notifications again. I use a camera to watch my baby when she naps til wake time. I did not get the notification and my baby almost climbed out of bed. Find a way to fix the issue

**Update 3/24/22: the latest update appears to have resolved the below issues. Updating rating. *To respond to Lorex, my issues are happening in the latest version and I'm already updated.* The app keeps randomly crashing while opening forcing you to have to open it again. This has been an issue for the last 3 updates.

This app is terrible. I'm the only user but it keeps telling me that it's logged in on another device. It's also slow to notify me when a person or vehicle is detected. If I could return this system I would. Update: I've only been using it for 6 months and now it won't record anymore. This was a total waste of money. Works great when I'm at home on the same WiFi as the lorex system is connected to but within an hour of leaving home on my mobile internet i can't view any cameras on the system. Keeps telling me all the cameras are offline or when I try to view cameras I get "uh oh! Something went wrong please try again." What is the point in putting out an app that never works?

You can never access your camera when necessary. If something is happening on your property it takes about 40 seconds- 1 minute to actually get in. Even with fingerprints.. on top of this It takes way too long for the log in and for cameras to load. We have extremely fast internet and cat8 cables and The app works less than half the time. Locks you out and deletes cameras off the viewing platform. Then once theyre up they always disconnect. I regret ever buying lorex brand cameras

I added a PTZ ($500) camera with 12X optical zoom. Optical zoom was working perfect, then I updated app and now I can't use optical zoom in and out. It will only do the digital zoom in or out, which it's not clear when you zoom in. What happen? Should add optical zoom feature back and next to pan and tilt button. Paid a high price for this camera for me not able to use the full capabilities of this device on phone. Please fix. Im still waiting, no optical zoom feature yet.

The app has had few bugs that got corrected this past year. Sometimes have to shutdown the app or reinstall it to get it to work, when it works it very helpful and compatible, just stay on top of when the app updates because sometimes that's why it will glitch out once in awhile.

My first review was 1-Star because the app kept crashing. I revised it to 5-Stars based on the quick customer service response and Lorex correcting the problem quickly. I have 1GB internet and a 5G wireless booster. Streaming is flawless and zoom is awesome in HD mode. Thanks Lorex for all that you do.
