Magisto Video Editor & Maker

I just started paying for premium again and the app keeps crashing!! Now I have worked on some videos for hours, so it doesn't make sense to move to another app (also, I have already paid) but this is very frustrating. The music should be able to be turned down. Some of the tunes are super loud. You'll have to turn down the sound and turn it up again once your video sound starts. Also, the old version was better. It was easier to control. Otherwise a great app, when it actually works

So much time to edit and then process a simple video... Only for the video to be really pixelated and poor quality. Other apps handle it so much better and faster. I won't be buying the paid version for such low quality. My settings are set to "higher quality", I dread to think what "lower quality" would look like!

Hate it the new version, hate the watermark for free version, used to be don't have that. Also, with that kind of price, and the results is not good as it use to be. Too pricey. Hope u can remove the watermark with free version like before. Thank u

Incredibly slow. Can literally take hours to process a video and I use a paid account too. I'm not a new user and have seen numerous version over the last few years. It feels like it is getting slower however and the experience of using the app has hit a standstill

I was an Premium Member earlier... and I enjoyed various video making options which are not being provided when I again took the premium membership. I re-subscribe the membership just to get the special features which I earlier used to have..... some features like:.... 1. Controlling time limit of my video in the very start so that I should not go to each slide one by one and set time limit of each slide to make my video within a certain time frame... 2. Video time depends upon number of photogrpahs.... its beyond our control. 3. It automatically change the series of the photogrpahs.... while I choose photographs from my gallery in a series but it disturb the series and I have to re-do the entire thing. 4. Seeking more templates.... its all old templates.... got bored using them repetitively. 5. More Indian Bollywood music can be added .... a suggestion. 6. It should be more innovative........... same boring style... no updation.

Super easy & friendly. It's simple to use. Basically it may be used by anyone, even if you have no experience on video editing at all. I really loved it!!

I didn't like it when I chose the theme VHS and it cut my video so that bits and pieces were missing. It turned my 41 second video into a 21 second one.

Works for me. Does the job at minimal work. Always exciting to see how it turns out. Does take some time but I guess that's life, not everything is 'microwavable'.

Magisto, has done fumbled the ball. This use to be an awesome automatic video creator. It's a real headache, now. After, 8+ years, I'll pass. On to the next one!

This app used to be really good... the quality of the pictures are now really bad. Can even see them clear anymore

Magisto app took my 4k video and turned it into AOL dial up quality. Unless i did something wrong, cancelling 7 day subscription on first day.

Magisto is one of the coolest little video making apps I've used it's simple but effective really pleased about the apps freeness thank you register keep up the good work

Still a good app, but honestly it just feels like more and more setting options are being stripped away from it. I'm not sure about the desktop maker as it has been awhile since I've used it to make one, but the app itself has lost lots of little features that were nice, like being able to set a max length, portrait vs horizontal, controlling the amount of effects, or adding a logo to the end of it. More control, more features please.

I used to absolutely LOVE this app years ago and told everyone about it. At first it was free but then I didn't mind paying the $20 annual fee and appreciated most of their updates ... Now what I used to spend annually, I got roped into paying monthly!! $20 PER month after a 7 day free trial and while there are some great functionality I find it super glitchy and the tech doesn't work very well... And since I only create a magisto video every few months, it's a complete waste of money!

This used yo be my absolute favorite video editing app. I've used it for years and the quality has declined so drastically. The 2021 version is absolute garbage. The app used to make me tge cutest suprise videos and despite having that feature turned on, I never get those videos anymore, even with me constantly taking new videos and pictures. The algorithm seems to have gotten dumbed down and there's less editing features now, but at a higher cost! Merely a shadow of a once great app

magisto is a very good app to make memories on. And can be useful for bus if ness promotion

I love the app, but there are a few improvements. If I make large video, it takes forever to make. Sometimes I have to uninstall and install beacuse when it is stuck you can't cancel it. I would also like to load multiple extra footage at a time, but I have to add, scroll, select photo, then add, scroll, select photo a 100 times which takes forever. I would also like to be able to select the voice parts in the video I want to hear. Some of the themes make my footage look like bad quality to. I like the features of the theme, but not the quality. Wish I could play around with options more.

The app's trash. You don't get to edit your movie, they do it for you by you picking a template and then waiting like twenty minutes for it to come out. I made a series of videos I planned to combine into one massive vlog, and I picked the template "No Filter." So after waiting a long time I watched the video and it cut off at the worst times, messed up the order of the videos...it was just so unbelievably bad. Just find another app, don't use this one. There's plenty of better ones.

I am not sure how this is a great app. All it does is use a few canned "styles" to splice some clips and photos. No control over color, transitions, quality, detailed settings. The app itself is stuck in portrait mode and far to simplistic to be useful. And that $20 per month subscription rate? Pretty steep for something that Google Photos already does for free. Buy a hamburger and a six pack and find a better tool.

I have been using this app for years to capture moments in time, and my viewers have always loved what I've created! My only issue was when they switched the features I'd been using, to the pro only version without warning, although I understand why. The cost difference is huge and there's no monthly pay option, so that drastically slowed my usage. I always plan to get the pro, but that's a big investment if you're not a business, for a recreational app. Regardless, get this app and create away!

Overly sensitive when trimming clips. I have 5 unable to process videos. 5 and that is that amount on a 7 day free trial. I wouldn't pay monthly for this until this improves. I want a refund. With all the technology free apps or not there shouldn't be this bad of buffering. I wish i can insert a screen shot. "An error has occured retry or swipe to cancel". You retry nothing happens. You cancel nothing happens. So you are forced to make a new videos in hopes it works. Time is money. This app is a waste of time and money.

It's nothing I thought it was going to be. I was under the impression that you had full control to customize it anyway you like but that is not the case. You select which video/pictures you would like then you select something similar to a "theme" and then it makes the video for you. The only customizations that you can apply are subtitles (but you can't choose color, where they are placed, font & size) and a title. (I was doing the professional trial) this is just my experience.

Was a great app when it was free. Might have used it every other month or so and it is fun and very easy. However, a $4.99/ month fee with a REQUIRED annual plan takes the fun away. Since they've already changed what I can do with the app three times, there is no way I will commit to an annual contract when I don't trust that they will keep it the same anymore.

genuinely worth it if you like taking a ton of video but hate editing. it really takes a lot of the work out of it. For the people complaining about download or rendering speeds, processing a video takes a good bit of bandwidth. if I am working on a large amount of clips, I drag / drop them into the app on my computer then let the app run while I do other things. i love that i can use this from my phone or my comy

1st- Can't download your videos unless you pay-can't do a lot of things without pay. In the free version you can only create up to 1:30 videos. It costs $20 PER MONTH! 2nd- you pick your video, an 'editing style' and it makes the movie for you. Cant tweak it during, or even see what anything looks like. Maybe this is just for the free version. Then you have to wait for your very short video to upload - just to even see what it looks like. No thanks. edit: thanks for the cut and paste response 😑

Very poor app, especially for the price. The free service is extremely limited, forcing you to upgrade to a paid subscription for £17.99 a month, a collosal amount for such a basic service. It cannot even handle gifs. The simple gif, which even the basic google photos can handle fine, is too advanced for the £216 a year service. You can get a much better service from a completely free alternative.

This is an overall great app. I love how it gives you the option to try the professional version for free for 7 days. This the best video editing /making app. My favorite part is the on board music so that I don't have to add files and copy stuff and that takes up so much time together do where I have to only click a few buttons and boom I have music in my video

You can make really nice, professional looking movies with Magisto. Downside is that it takes FOREVER to make one. It shouldn't be this time consuming. There is no easy way to make small adjustments, as it seems sometimes the AI thinks it's smarter than you. I can't count how many times I've made a minor edit, like changing scene order or cutting a few seconds, only to have everything change. What really confuses me is when I ADD a scene and somehow the movie gets shorter!
