One of best camera apps available for smartphones. For me, one of the best features of this app is it's image stabilization. I wish all DSLR cameras had this high level stabilization built in. No matter how much you shake your phone while taking a picture, the app slabilises all movements, and only releases the shutter when it detects no movements. Of course, it's main great feature is manual control of shutter, aperture, ISO, and highlight exposure. Really fantastic photography app.
This app allows an experienced user high levels of detailed control over their phone camera. It takes a bit to set up all of the features just the way you want them, but after that it's a breeze. It gives you access to so many features (assuming your camera can support them) and even outputs RAW format on-top of the standard JPEG. 👍 I won't go into detail, but this is a very cool and very deep camera interface! I purchased the full app and don't have a single regret 🙌
Shutter button covers the home button on S21 (I need to press on the last image I took and than press the home button on the phone). Shutter sound is too loud. Can be turned off, but you can't volume it down (or I just can't see the option). Other than that, looks professional, lots of options. If I find anything else, I'll edit a review (just downloaded the app).
Generally very happy with this camera app I've used for many years. I use it as an alt now, since Sony's has EVERYTHING, and is fast. However, app crashes when picking certain lenses (which don't exist) on the Xperia 1 mk3. It'd be nice to be able to set an icon or name for each lens, as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 is difficult for me to remember which is which. Full brightness is over the top, I would like to be able to set 'go to X percent' or 'increase by X percent' while app is open.
I paid for and downloaded this app based on the great reviews. As soon as I opened it I went to try to open the Settings the app crashed, take a photo, crashed. I emailed the developer twice and never got a response. For me it's a useless app and a waste of money, and due to the lack of response from the developer I'd venture to call it daylight robbery; took my money, received an app that doesn't work, and nobody bothered ro reply to me at all.
App needs to be updated for Android 12, or the new pixel6pro. I wanted it only for long exposure. Would not let me manually set exposure. Try to go into settings and the app crashes. Please update and fix these issues. I bought this app for an older phone and it was great, but had to purchase again. Didn't mind to because I felt it was great. Not now, but I trust you will fix it. Soon?
Works... But also limiting. They need to add better tools for manual photography and allow for longer shutter speeds to be accessed. Full manual control needs to disable the automatic flash when using a manual shutter speed which is incredibly annoying if you're trying to shoot a time lapse with it. Also needs to add a dedicated shutter speed tool (it's currently just a silly exposure bar). All in all it's an okay app when it works.
I had another app that was really good. However its' resolution was sacrificed to other functions. The developer stopped updating so I couldn't use it on a newer device. This app has an excellent use of the camera resolution. I have a 3 camera system. I can only use 1 camera at a time with this app. That's okay if I'm not trying to produce depth of field. I don't wonder if resolution or some other vital property would be sacrificed for depth of field. So I like it as is
This is the most complete manual camera app. It has all options you will ever need if you decide to go full manual. At first, I had trouble getting around, but that was because I did not understood all options (when and how to use). I dont even use autofocus anymore. It Is also good thing that you can save your images in raw format. This is great app for those who have full camera2 API. If by any chance someone does not have all options avaliable, that Is due to phone model.
I do like the camera but for novices like me it can be overwhelming, for example why does it take 5 pictures ? I WANT ONE PICTURE, not five and I can not find out how to stop the camera from taking five shots. The flexibility is incredible you can experiment with focal length, shutter speed and get interesting pictures that a stock camera will not give you. Will keep at it, got to be a way just to shoot one picture, I am tired of getting five and deleting four picture. It is well worth the few dollars they charge if you like to experiment.
The only reasons I'm giving it 4 stars is because some of the sliders are not that responsive and also it was a bit difficult to maneuver around pro settings while filming. I shot a whole baby shower with this app. It was great but I could not find a way to lock the ISO, so my highlights were all blown out. The only thing I could lock was the exposure but it would reset the moment I touched it, so did not operate like it was locked. Other than this, very nice app.
I was SUPER lucky to get this for free while it was on sale. Even if I had to pay for it, I would have. This app is even better than the stock app that comes with the OnePlus 5T. Too many options to mention here. Full customization and full control of all of your photo options and techniques to make your photos look as professional as possible. VERY happy with this! Thank you so very much for having a sale! I REALLY appreciate it!
Great but.... I wish I could change the shutter Iso and aperture while in manual mode... Not just exposure compensation. All 3 options should be made available. That's my only disappointment. Also can't take a photo while moving, not sure if that's a limitation or something I'm not setting correctly. Otherwise, great app
Great app but the controls take practice if you rely on yourself to learn it by trial and error. It is my goto camera and I take a lot of pics. Really nice for small size, I used to have lots of issues when sending pics which were to large for Yahoo-Mail. Now with this app (I can reduce the size) and send several pics simultaneously. And, did I mention, it takes really nice photos under any circumstances.
This is an amazing app. i bought my LG q7 plus right before christmas and i was going to buy the app shortly after. When i went to buy the app they were running a special and got it for free. Pros: The app is great! fully controllable like a real DSLR camera. Cons: The controls are a little awkward and there is a learning curve on how to use the functions. it would be nice if there was a quick tutorial.
I never pay for apps and I had some Google credit so I did so much research and finally decided on this app. It picks up better detail than the stock camera my phone came with but it crops the photos in the weirdest way after you take the photo. I've used all different "cams" on the app and it still does that. If the app is going to randomly crop your photos at least show it on screen while taking the photo so it's not a guessing game!
Used to be my go-to camera app for its superior features and good raw support. However, other apps have surpassed it both in features and in raw quality. Also there hasn't been any development for almost 2 years now. Developer doesn't respond very well to requests and the app does not support phones with more than one camera, it only uses the main camera. If you have tele or wide angle cameras alongside the main camera you're out of luck using Manual Camera.
This app is giving me way more function than my default camera app (while taking some of it). I love the ability to manually adjust the focus, iso and shutter speed. The option to save into RAW/DNG image is also a nice addition! Even the zoom quality seems to be a bit better than my pre installed camera app. The only downside so far is while I can record a video in normal and fast speed, slow motion video is always giving me error.
This app is worth every penny. However, I would love for the developer to fix a critical bug in which changes made to manual settings (ie..Manual WB, ISO, shutter speed etc) are not being reflected on the cam viewfinder most of the time until a picture/video was taken. Fix this most glaring and critical bug, only then will I call this app GOLD!
So I've been trying this stuff where I wanna mix a render with real life photo. And this camera does really well for me to capture light reference in 360 with different level of exposure. One question tho, can you add more uhh, "copy" on the bracketing mode? Like, the maximum right now is 5 different level of exposure, can you add it up to 7 different level, maybe? But overall, this app is just what I need to try my new hobby!
Plenty of options to change, which are nicely displayed on a screen overlay. Great HDR mode. Worth it even on a device without Camera2 API and without full manual control. Just don't expect updates and technical support.
Curious as to how to get a refund. I can see where the app has much potential and I was looking to use it as a pro mode with more options on my Samsung Galaxy S10. Every time I take a picture the app closes and upon certain actions in the settings menu it closes as well. I guess GCam mods are the only way to go as they have proved to be superior in every way aside from video on Samsung hardware. Was unable to access shutter speed. App could be great.... simply not working on my device though
It's alright so far. I can select all the cameras within my phone (including night vision) and fully control how they look. Keep in mind that the resolution setting allows you to select higher than your camera's ability (you can select 4k even when your camera is limited to 720p) and this results in a corrupted video. To fix this, I set each camera resulution to 4k and recorded a clip. I would then reduce the resolution until I saw a video output (instead of green). I hope this helps :))
